When I add a recipe, after submitting I will redirect to a white site without content and the picture was not uploaded. What ist the reason?
Obviously this should not never happen. If there are unfilled required fields the submit page will display you custom error messages. If the form is correctly filled, it redirects to the same page with a success message. You can see the correct functionality in the demo site.
If it redirects to a empty page, it may have something to do with your server. Have you checked the logs of your server?
Have you gone through the settings at Appearance > Settings: Front-end recipe submission? So that you are not requiring fields which are not displayed.

I have looked and can’t find the demo content to show client if this style is what they want. I also go to setting and reading and there is no options now to choose blog or page for home page. I also see no xml file to import for the demo content. any help would be great-

Hi, I was looking at the possibility of importing a recipe post type from a recipe plugin into the recipe post type for this theme. Is there a plugin you could recommend that would allow this or does Recipes already allow imports from other recipe plugins? I haven’t purchased the theme yet in the event that importing is not possible.

There’s no built-in recipe importer in the theme.
However there are many plugins which can import data from WordPress, XML, CSV etc. I have used the paid version of https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-all-import/ in a couple of projects, and it has worked great.
I really can’t say anything about other plugins, but you should do a search at https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=import
The plugin must be able to import data to custom fields.

I’ve tried some popular free slider plugin but the slider not working on homepage section (only working on page & blog section). Unlike on page or blog post, there is no place for content on the home page template.
You will need to edit the page template used for the homepage: page-home.php

This is because we can’t know in advance what part of the content is instructions, and what part is other content – for example recipe ingredients.
To make it work perfectly it would require the blog owner to wrap the actual instructions in a div, and that would not be very convenient.
Other option would be adding another text field for the instructions, which could then be added in the content with a shortcode. This would not help with the already published recipes though.

With the home page template content of the page is used as the title. It may be a bit confusing, but it’s mentioned in the documentation

Clear example here on your demo website : http://live.bobosh.com/recipes/profile/katejohnson 2) In the login menu and password forgotten, is it possible to ask just the email and not the Username ? Because if Username is available, somebody can change the password of all the members ! 3) In the menu favorite, I’m wasn’t able until now to see my favorite (even after heart clicking on some recipes. Well, see Easy Oven-Baked Sesame Chicken Thighs. It is from another site.
There’s an arrow icon with the external site’s name on the recipe card. Also there’s an # symbol pointing to the permalink of the recipe.
In the Theme Options you can choose whether to link the recipe card straight to the source, or to the single recipe view on your site.
In the next version I will add CSS class to external recipes, so you can easily for example set a different background color for the recipes.

Which RTL language are you using?
It’s not possible anymore. Now we have the filters for recipes, and it’s logical to have the keyword search with the other filters. Otherwise it could be confusing for the visitor.

mostly kurdish but also arabic. Also the search function for these doesn’t really work. When we try to search for items which are clearly there, it shows 0 results.
Thats too bad, because we disabled the filters and the search bar being at that row by itself deosn’t look really good… we all in our team thougt it looked much better and was way more user-friendly within the hero image.

Have you set up Relevanssi plugin following the documentation? Also remember to rebuild the index in Relevanssi settings.
I would also recommend using more SEO friendly and user-friendly URLs. You can set those at Settings > Permalinks.
What do you mean by you don’t see “any changes in terms of RTL”? Surely there are changes.

It might be the Relevanssi plugin which cause the search bug, I might take a look at that. Thanks for the SEO advice.
About RTL: The way the site looks like today in RTL is exactly the same as before the RTL Update came out. I installed the WMPL plugin to get RTL and it worked pretty well, despite the fact that the theme was not supporting RTL. However the bugs I had then and which I thought were because of the lack of RTL support are still there. Some examples:
- You see the 3 thin green lines which should be under the the heding text of the plugins in the footer? They still are LTR.
- Now everything isn’t fully translated by our team yet, but if you look at some of the filters, you’ll see that the dropdown content is also LTR.
- At first the hero text wasn’t centered and even outside its green box, I could fix that one with some css changes.
I hope you can see what I mean.

Theme is made RTL compatible according to the instructions by WordPress found over here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Right-to-Left_Language_Support
When testing with the plugin recommended in the article none of the issues you pointed out do not appear.
Actually it looks like WPML does not activate rtl.css stylesheet, which obviously includes all the styling making the theme RTL. So, you should take a look at WPML documentation.
