Hi, I bought the Asana theme and the calendar is not working properly. I activated the Uni Calendar plugin. I’m able to create a calendar and categories but not events. I tried creating an event but it is not giving me an option to set the start and end time of the event because my calendar will only display one hour of the day and no more. Also, the background color I’d inputted for my event category is being ignored and the calendar displays the event in a default blue color instead. Lastly, the element in my admin links column called “Events” only shows categories and events from the theme demo and seems to be operating independently from the Uni Calendar plugin and the calendar I created. Please help.

It is always better to keep the theme updated. Also, if you are using a customised version of the child theme, update your child theme too.
By “update your child theme too” I mean review and check if it won’t produce any errors because of the update of the parent theme.

Hi, I’m suddenly experiencing issues with CSS rendering and content not showing on my website. My webhost checked a bunch of other things and nothing helped, so recommended that I update the theme.
However, I’m nervous about updating this theme because it seems like every time I update, there are major changes to the functions and it breaks my site and I have to redesign all my customizations.
I’m using a child theme for the customizations of course, but how do you recommend that I identify which functions have changed? It’s really frustrating that every update seems to radically change the site, which makes it very difficult to maintain a child theme that actually works.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer on the most efficient way to do this.
Also, I just saw the comment above mine that there are issues with the theme and woocommerce – should I wait for another update? I don’t want to update today and lose that footer.

I’m sorry, I understand that sometimes it is difficult. Actually, I make it more difficult that it could be. But these are important changes which really optimize the theme and make it more reliable. And of course I’m ready to help with updating

I use this theme for a client where the website has already been built and paid for, and I had done a lot of customization in the child theme, so anytime there is a big update and something breaks, they come back to me to fix it and I don’t really have the time. I’m sure under any other circumstances, I would be very happy that you make so many improvements to the theme!
I will wait for 1.6.6 to be released. In the meantime, have you had any other customers experience a sudden change in CSS rendering while using Bluehost? I made a copy of the site on my dev server that is hosted with Rochen instead and the site shows perfectly, so I am pretty sure it’s something with Bluehost but they said they can’t do anything else to help.
FYI just resolved the above CSS rendering issue – was a Javascript conflict caused by a twitter plugin. Looking forward to the new update and your help with installing around a child theme!

Just a heads up. I was testing the latest version of the theme, always test locally before updating the actual website and I noticed an issue with the woocommerce store. There is no footer in either the store page or single item page. I decided to check your demo website and it has the same issues I have

Pls, read about that here http://highseastudio.com/demo/asana-wp/docs/#events . There is a filter called ‘uni_asana_event_email_filter’ so you can create and hook in your own function with modified email templates added via child theme.

When I enable the instagram block, it appears SUPER HUGE and vertical ….not matching the one in the demo at all. The one in the demo is small and goes horizontally. I have messed with it and can’t figure out how to get it to go horizontally like in the demo.

1) You can copy existing template(s) to your child theme and edit that copy in order to remove unnecessary code.
2) Try to use lightweight images. Disable unnecessary plugins. Remove excess code. Upgrade your hosting plan. Etc.

Well, these are pretty basic things for WP developers. If you don’t know what is this, I think it is better for you to hire someone to make necessary changes.

It can be hosting related issue. Maybe, your .htaccess file is not being updated properly and it causes error 404.
