I am installing your theme and need to set up a Child Theme.
When I do this the theme won’t load at all.
Please advise on the special requirements needed to create a working child theme with your theme.

There are no special requirements, but you should use the child theme that is included with the theme (it contains a js folder with the scripts that you may want to change).

I updated theme today, and I keep getting “saving error” whenever I try to change the theme settings. The only plugins I have are Jetpack, WordFence and Akismet. Are there known issues with any of these?

I actually spoke with Themeforest about the Support situation before, and according to the person I spoke with, since we bought the theme prior to the 09/2015 change, we were supposedly grandfathered into support for life as you originally promised. But since you don’t want to stick to that, we will be fine moving on to another, newer theme.
Not to mention, we are getting all kinds of errors from your theme anyways. Your templates are screwy, the slider is terribly dated & limited and doesn’t work on the shortcode. And the shortcode model you provide is way dated as well. And specifically your blog shortcode is NOT working on a page at all. It gives a “Warning: Illegal string offset ‘bl_icon’ in /home/myaccount/public_html/oursite/wp-content/themes/quest/inc/pirenko_scodes/shortcodes.php on line 1066”. Multiple times. So we’d prefer NOT to deal with a very buggy theme anyways. I guess it makes since, being that the theme is 3 years old, and extremely dated anyways. Sort of glad it errored out, as it reminded us to buy a more recent theme. We would not extend support on something so old.
And by the way, the issue above, was due to “wordfence”. It was blocking the changes. So the fact you aren’t compatible with WordFence is also a big concern of ours.
So thanks for going back on the support issue. But we are moving on anyways. You may want to check those errors out for others who may buy however.

We would like to analyze the save options issue and that is why we asked for the login details. Also, if you are getting other errors why didn’t you shared them here? By the way, as far as we know the illegal offset error you mentioned is already fixed (it happened when you did not had any blog icon assigned to a post).
4 extra notes:
1) Working with shortcodes? Yeah, we don’t like it so much (it was our last theme with this method) and that is why we added a button to help users. As far as we know all of them are working;
2) Limited slider? Yeah we agree, but is does exactly as you see on the theme demo. If you need something more advanced you can install a premium slider;
3) Lifetime support? I never stated that anywhere (other authors can’t say the same). Still I offered support and that is why I asked for login details;
4) The previous comments here don’t mention your save options issue or any other unfixed bugs. Comments are usually positive and the theme average rating shows that;
You are free to switch to another theme, but, once again, we are available to fix any bugs you may find.

I’ve been trying to download this theme onto my WordPress for the past 2 days. I requested a refund but no one will respond. IT DOES NOT WORK! every other theme I tried to download WORKS except this one! Every time I try to upload it, it gives me an error message:

There is a bug. When team members image has mouseover event, the image moves to the left.
How do you prevent the image from moving? Making the image a large width is not an option or a resolution to this bug.

I do have a other question, after doing some resesrch, it seems that on single slide images, in order to make the text permanent, I need to change the main.js. im comfortable doing this but have a couple questions.
1. I use Godaddy and their managed. Is there a way you are aware of to simply change the main.js from there? Or do i need to change it in the theme package?
2. When/if you update the theme, will it overwrite the main.js? Deleteing my change?
3. Is there an easier/more permanent fix? To this solution.

I have no idea how to create a page with a homepage slider. I tried editing the Quest Homepage that comes with the theme, but I do not see anywhere to change the slideshow or what group of slides to use.
I even checked the documentation and it says to choose Show Slideshow at the top of the page, but there is no Show Slideshow at all. How do I create a page with a homepage slider and choose what group of slides to show?

I do now see the slideshow options now, however, the rest of the page is now left aligned and no longer the correct width.
Before, there was a max-width and the latest work section would expand to that full width along with the rows (3 latest work would be the full width of the section but now 3 latest works are left aligned with empty space on the right), but now everything just seems to be on the left side.
Any suggestions?

Probably your hosting plan is blocking sending emails via the wp_mail function. You should get in touch with them to remove this restriction.
You can also try and install the free plugin Contact Form 7 that has alternative ways to send emails.

I am looking to upload the Quest theme EXACTLY as it is in the live preview. This will allow me to figure out by looking at the page builder layout/code how to use the theme and navigate all the features without contacting you 100 times for trivial things like how to put a map on the contacts page.

Quest is listed as compatible with WooCommerce 2.4, but I’m getting this notice after updating to WooCommerce 2.4.6 and WordPress 4.3:
“Your theme (Quest) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.”
The online store seems to be working fine when I add a product and head to checkout, but any thoughts on the template file notice?

i uploaded the theme to the wrong site address (conroyperformance.ie/wp). Then deleted it and reuploaded it to conroyperformance.ie.
Originally the theme was set to how it was in the preview (with slider, menu bar etc) and the 2nd time it changed. What has gone wrong here? and how do I reset this, as customizing the first option will be far easier.
