Just wanted to say, this is one of the best HTML template that I have ever used. You guys got nailed it! Have a great weekend, cheers!
Thanks so much for purchasing and for your lovely comment! We’re glad you found Pillar useful. If you wouldn’t mind leaving a review, we’d be very grateful!
Thanks again
Craig
G’Day guys, Just purchased it. facing few issues now in variant: 1. Why can’t the copyright text in the footer be changed? © Copyright 2016 Medium Rare – All Rights Reserved. After purchasing the template it should be editable . 2. In the navigation bar how can we push nav the link elements to right?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing!
1. Thanks for reporting this – that text should be editable, we’ll investigate and provide a fix in an upcoming update.
2. At the moment, you’ll need to float these right (by adding the class ‘right’ to the module) in the output HTML. We’re working on more robust menu management in Variant but at this time, this is still a limitation.
Thanks again, Craig
Good day!
1.Why can`t I paste the content into blocks ??:(
2. You do not have a text editor
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing!
You can paste text into the blocks as you’d paste text into any normal text area. Just click inside the text and you’ll be able to select and edit

Damnit! Just got foundry, this one’s an upgrade. Oh well! Seems like the builder makes life easier when you’re just too lazy to open brackets
Good job!
Haha! Thanks for purchasing Foundry, and we’re glad you like Pillar too – it may come in handy for future projects
Great template guys! Is there a way to add custom theme colors?
I mean the color schemes to match your brand colors
Hi,
This is something we’re working on now. The short term solution is to override the colours in your custom.css file. We can generate a one-off brand specific CSS file for you if you open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com – then when our colours solution is ready you will be able to generate colour-specific CSS whenever you need. You will need to purchase to open a ticket.
James
Good day! I do not see in your SEO settings panel : meta Description, title, keywords:(...????
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing!
You can add the meta tag to the head of your page with your keywords as normal. We’re going to add this into the head by default in the next update
Cheers again, Craig
Hey Guys! I purchased in Launchkit in the past, does Pillar replace this, same thing but better?
Hi, While Launchkit is targeted at those looking to specifically sell through a landing page, Pillar is a different aesthetic with a more versatile package and many more blocks to build with.
Full shop and blog pages (HTML only) are not included in Launchkit for example.
James
Looks like an awesome template! Will there also be a Wordpress version coming soon?
Thanks for the compliment!
Yes there will – it should be available in around 1 -2 months
Looking fantastic. Congrats.
One thing though. I can’t seem to find the custom.css file — Am I missing something?
Thanks for purchasing!
the custom.css was accidentally excluded but will be included in the first update. In the meantime you can go ahead and use your own custom.css
Thanks again, Craig
I’ve created a custom.css file that I’ve placed into the css folder but my changes don’t take effect. How can I give it priority over theme.css?
We’ve got a patch incoming now that will fix this issue and include the reference to the custom.css file in the head. Once it’s live, just place your custom.css file over the downloaded one
Cheers, Craig
Working fine now — thanks.
Great
Nice work! This looks great!
Cheers!
Hi the template looks perfect i have a question where i can buy only variant builder?? to build my own templates Thank you
Hello, thanks for your enquiry.
Variant can only be used with our templates at this time, no standalone package is available.
James
Hi. Looks great but I bought it specifically for the video galleries – ‘Galleries Video Wide’ and “Galleries Video Contained” and unfortunately neither of them work.
Hi there Jon,
Thanks for purchasing Pillar!
Are you referring to inside the builder? We’re working to fix this bug and will patch in a fix ASAP
Thanks for your patience, Craig
Thanks Craig. Yeah it’s in the builder.
Hi Jon,
The update is now awaiting Envato approval and should be live shortly
Craig
Absolutely love the Foundry template…probably one of the best coded templates I’ve ever used so I was excited to see the email promoting the release of Pillar (and it isn’t often that I’d get excited over a template release). At first glance, it doesn’t appear like there is much difference other than fewer prebuilt templates then Foundry unfortunately but I may be missing some things.
What are some of the key differences between Pillar and Foundry and/or what is the purpose behind the development of Pillar vs expanding Foundry even further. To be honest, I’d probably use Foundry for every single project I do if there was more flexibility with the navigation (as another commenter pointed out). Was hoping that Pillar might fill in that gap but after a brief inspection it appears that the navigation options are pretty much identical.
Thanks for your work!
Hi and thanks for the constructive feedback
We felt the need to offer users a different, more casual aesthetic that was missing in the segment.
Pillar offers a wider selection of blocks in Variant with a greater number of block variations.
We have immediate plans to expand the navigation options in the next update. Feel free to email us at support@mrare.co to offer suggestions/screenshots of the type of functionality you think could be improved.
Pillar is equipped with a broader array of modal and notification functionality that is more geared towards a modern startup/sales environment.
We’re thrilled that you love Foundry and of course we will continue to develop and expand both products.
Ultimately we’re seeking to offer customers a broader choice when starting a new project and you can’t go wrong buying either template!
Cheers, James
Thanks for reply James! The extended modal functionality definitely sounds interesting. One of the challenges that I’ve had with foundry is dynamically populating a modal with Javascript for example. I actually wrote a callback into the modal code so that I could invoke a special function before load but the problem is that (at least as far as I made it) it only worked on first load. If the modal was closed and then reopened I couldn’t make any further adjustments. This may just be a limitation of my knowledge but anyhow… Does Pillar perhaps address a situation like this where one can dynamically invoke a modal with javascript?
Yes, this is one of the aspects we have improved. If you give a modal an ID, you can call mr.modals.showModal() to open it (repeatedly if necessary). A callback for before and after opening is a good idea, and is on the list of features to add in a future update.
Another request… Cart and checkout page, please
These will be coming next week
Love your work and its rather nice to see clean lines here. One thing is the export of code. I had a hand off of another builder, launchkit, to a developer and he was needlessly moaning about code classes that are outputted etc… have you got a method of cleaning everything for deploying.
Love the work keep it up!
bo
Hi there,
Thanks for the compliment!
The output code is free of inline styles and excessive classes – we’ve made considerable improvements to our markup so that classes are less verbose. This is based on Bootstrap so if you’re developer is familiar with that, they should be fine.
Cheers, Craig
Thanks craig keep on the good work! bo
Cheers! No worries
Stunning! I’m not going to wish you good luck on this one, as you don’t need it, the item speaks for itself
Thanks as always for the props Nick!
Beautiful work, Looks great, GLWS
Thanks and same to you
Great Work, GLWS
Thank you
We are using the following icon package:
https://nucleoapp.com/How do we integrate this with Pillar?
Thanks.
Hi,
As Pillar is an HTML template, you can use any icon pack. To use Nucleo with Pillar you will need to add it as an icon font in the page head and use the appropriate classes to make icons appear. More from our support team at mediumrare.ticksy.com. Unfortunately Nucleo can not be imported directly into Variant so you will not see it in the icon chooser.
James
OK thanks, that’s a shame.
It would be great if we could hook up our own icon packs to use in Variant as Nucleo is better than the pack you’ve included.
Thanks for the feedback
James
Good work , GLWS
Cheers
