Hi, I updated fro Real Estate 5 to 7 and I am having trouble with the layout. In the RE7 Options, I organized my homepage as I had it in the previous version, but it isn’t the same on the front end…can you tell me if I have to change a setting somewhere? http://duckworthproperties.com/ Currently is is just blog posts
I may need to revert to RE5 and start over
First thanks for both purchase, RE7 uses a Home template which is super easy to setup please see the “Manual Homepage Setup” steps in the Installation section of the documentation.
http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/documentation/#installationoh perfect! Thank you!
Not a problem, lemme’ know if you have any other questions!
I have a few presale q. Can single property owner sign up and list a property? Is it possible to have free and paid listings like pay for premium or featured? Is adsense availible?
- Definitely, thats exactly what the front end system was built for.
- Yes, you can toggle the PayPal feature for paid listings on/off via the admin options.
- Definitely you would basically just use text widgets wherever you would want to place your AdSense ads throughout the theme.
Not work change font to cyrillic google font? Me change font General Settings > Choose a heading font & Choose a body font to PT Sans and save settings, but on web-site font not change… How I change theme-font other instruments? (code & file name, pls) See test-site http://xn----7sbb4ajdb0bk.xn--p1ai/ – this font no PT Sans…
You’ll need to purchase an extended support pack in order to open a ticket on the support site so we can have a look at that for you. Thanks!
In your theme not work “change font” function and you are asking me to buy support for the price theme?
Your theme overwrite h1-h5 style child-theme/style.css his theme-style class and and does not change the font. It is necessary, or re-write all classes of styles, because in the admin panel to change the font of body does not work. Why pay money then? This is your mistake.
Your style «.marT5» & «.marB0» in header listing-location overwrite styles of my font! And where is the change in the theme settings? Yes, anywhere! Only need to manually search for an error in the code and correct. Paid, damn, support …
var2: other answer my question: Real estate option > Create skin > Typography
and this answer not required “paid support”
not thanx
The admin options allow you to set a font for All Headings in General or Per H1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 separately if you so choose those are both 100% optional. This is not a mistake its the way the theme works to offer the most flexibility. The default fonts are Montserrat for Headings and Lato for the Body.
Thanx. Perhaps in the documentation should add a note that if there is no font change through «Customize ? General setting», webmaster need to manually check the fonts under «Create Skin ? Typography» I’m sorry for my emotions in the first comment.
wbr, Alex
Awesome New Feature Coming in Tomorrows Update — Agents Ajax Live Search!
Prefect for brokerages or sites with a lot of Agents, simply let your users live search for them!
PRE-SALE Questions:
Hi, this theme is ticking many boxes for us!
1) Can we add custom fields against properties? eg: “Property available: xxxx” , “Property features: xxxx , xxxx , xxxx” etc
2) Are such custom fields included in the filter / search?
3) We plan to use a feed to populate the site with properties, how are properties organised as entities? eg custom post types? – how are the fields organised in the database?
Thanks, glad you like it!
- Yes, although you’ll need to use a free plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/ then create a child theme and make your template modifications to display those new fields.
- There’s a TON of included search fields all of them can be seen in the Advanced Search page on the demo http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/multi-demo/advanced-search/
- Its done with a custom post type of Listings, along with custom fields and taxonomies. If you’d like to setup an automatic import you can do so using the WP All Import plugin along with the official theme add on covered in the documentation http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/documentation/#wpallimport and also see http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/cron/
Hi Chris, my client calling me once a week asking when the web address will be added to the agent’s page and when you’ll create search field at the agents page (big plus for big offices).
The agents personal web address will hopefully be in this weeks update, however the agents Ajax search I’m not sure on as this is quite an undertaking and will take quite a bit of development time but its still on the list. At current I’ve only got one request for it which is yours so the more I get from other buyers the more of a priority it’ll become, hope you understand.
I’ll actually have the Agents Ajax Live Search released in this weeks update, got the whole thing pretty much dev’d already just need to do some testing hopefully release it tomorrow!
I’ve added it to Agents Template and Single Brokerage. Checkout the demos below!
Actually use this for the Single Brokerage Demo, http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/multi-demo/brokerage/sothebys/
Hey i am not able to rub idx using this theme
Not quite following “rub idx”? I’ve built in custom CSS for both dsIDXpress and iHomeFinder both of which have to be purchased separately as they require MLS/IDX access and that information costs a monthly fee in your local area. Thanks for your purchase!
cpresales question: can you make the users choose to eighter post a free listing or a paid listing. I want to let them have both options on the front end form
Yes, free listings are actually the default and a simple single payment PayPal system is optional and selectable in the admin options (screenshot).
Hello, i have a pre-purchase questions about your theme which seems to be awasome by the way. You’ ve already got my congrats whatever! Here are my questions:
- i have a real estate website (with Denali worpress theme) with a listing already done and working and some pages. Will i be able to import my existing listing (Properties are custom post type) without losing my SEO, i mean, after importing listings will the custom url links of my actual posts be kept or will they be new one created?
- does this theme has a blog part?
- does this theme delivers a rss feed?
- i use Yoast SEO: after changing my theme to yours, will Yoast SEO settings still be there?
- is your theme compatible with polylang Wordpress plug in?
- is there a possibility to put your theme on “under construction” when preparing it?
- is your theme compatible with Google rich card and AMP Google format (i guess we have to make special format pages for that, but i ask the question just in case it would be possible)?
- is your theme available in French?
- is your theme compatible with MailChimp newsletter system?
Thank you very much for answer
Deep
Thanks, glad you like it — I’ve put a TON of work into this one!
- Yes, I’d recommend using the WP All Export and WP All Import plugins along with the official theme add on for this. I’ve also put together a KB article with an outline of the process https://contempo.ticksy.com/article/7664/ along with documentation http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/documentation/#wpallimport
- Once you done that since the URLs will likely change unless the Custom Post Type you currently have has the slug of “listings”, if not you’ll need to use 301 htaccess redirects so you don’t lose any of your SEO.
- It use the standard WordPress post/category/tag system that’s in place just like any other theme out there for “blogging”.
- Yes, the Yoast plugin has an individual import/export feature built in, please see https://yoast.com/yoast-seo-import-export/
- I’ve built in features specifically for WPML so I’d recommend using it, otherwise you’ll need to make modifications for things like the language switcher in the header, featured listings slugs in the homepage but that’s about it.
- You would simply use this plugin for generating AMP pages https://wordpress.org/plugins/amp/
- I unfortunately don’t have it already translated in French so you would have to do the translations or hire a service for that.
Thank you so much for answer Contempoinc. Just one more question: does the htaccess redirection has to be done for each post or can it be done globally in the .htaccess file? (Actually, my slug is “property” not “listings”
It would be done globally, checkout this tut http://code.tutsplus.com/articles/options-for-301-redirects-in-wordpress--cms-21985
Thank you so much for your quick answer
Sure thing!
Hello I have an old website with real estate 3 theme ver. 1.3.9
Do you think is it possible to upgrade to this theme keeping the listings and all their informations that I have on my website now?
thank you
Yes, I actually moved one of my RE3 buyers to RE7 “Stay Furnished” you can see their site in the Buyer Showcase, I’ve actually put together a quick outline of the process in a KB article https://contempo.ticksy.com/article/7664/.
thank you
No probs!
Hi. I’m using WPML with your theme. When I have a ‘Featured’ and a ‘Leasing’ status, only the label ‘Leasing’ shows; which is correct. http://awesomescreenshot.com/0055yimhc0
But for my other language, it shows both labels ‘Featured’ and ‘Leasing’ (translated already). http://awesomescreenshot.com/03e5yimj6e
You’ll need to add the below snippet in your Custom JS area of the admin options panel, then replace the word “Featured” with your translated.
jQuery('h6.snipe span').text(function(_,txt) {
return txt.replace('Featured', '');
});
Hi. That didn’t work. The translated ‘Featured’ (‘??c s?c) word still shows up.
If you could open a ticket on the support site with your admin details and the translated “Featured” word, post the number here and I’ll take care of it real quick.
Here you go: #809210. Thanks.
Thanks, taking a look right now.
Replied.
You’re all set!
You’re awesome! Thanks.
No probs man, glad to help!
Hi a few Pre-sale questions regarding TOUR VIEW:
1. Can i have unlimited tour view for each house listing?
2. Can i have a unlimited hot-spot (point direction) in this tour view?
3. What are the things that I can’t customized in this tour view?
4. Where can i study and learn this tour view your using? do we have a link?
Thanks, Kim.
Hi. The “Virtual Tours” option is just a textarea to place the embed code you would get from the Virtual Tour service provider you choose to use in your area, the actual technology of the “Virtual Tour” isn’t something the theme does as this requires special camera equipment and software to create. For example https://www.lemonadestand.org/ a service in Southern California, you would need to find one in your your local area of the Philippines.

I have filled out a ticket and have gotten no response. Disappointing since this theme has had good ratings. I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to load this theme with the dummy data to make it look like the sample given. I’ve removed the theme and re-installed and it’s now a huge mess. Can someone respond to me please.
Sorry to hear that, whats the ticket number?

Looks like you just opened under 24 hours ago, but I’m taking a look right now. I’ll also need your WordPress admin information, if you could update the ticket, thanks!
Thank you. I didn’t see anything on timeline repose times or I would have not bothered you so soon. I do thank you for taking the time and looking at it. As you can imagine it’s pretty frustrating to get hung up on this even before I’ve begun putting this site together. Now I’m getting a “Page Not Found” error. Ugh.
Responded in the ticket, its a simple htaccess/permalinks issue all you need to do is go into Settings > Permalinks > hit Save Changes and you’ll be all set. I also have a KB article on it https://contempo.ticksy.com/article/5977/, thanks again for your purchase!
NO…it’s not a fix. Please look at the the web address.
I’ve responded in your ticket.
Responded to your ticket. Went ahead and did the manual demo install for you, you’re all set.
Thank you for resolving my issues. I really appreciate you taking the time to fix things for me.
Not a problem, as always thanks for your purchase!
Hi could you please explain again how I can have 4 columns in featured listings. Please tell me exactly which file, which line and the exact code that must be entered. I changed the grid.php > line 29 and lines 75-79, but I still have 3 columns in featured listings. Thanks
Sounds like you didn’t make the proper changes, or possibly didn’t copy the file over into your child theme. If you could please open a ticket on the support site and we can help you a little bit further.
Hi a few pre sale questions:
1. Can this be used for booking villas? I have three and I rent out the whole property for vacations, min 4 days.
2. Can I take a deposit on line via Paypal or give option to bank transfer.
3. Can they client just make an enquiry with dates without booking.
4. Can we show the availability calendars on the home page for each property?
Thanks in advance!
Zen
- Yes, it includes the free version of the WP Booking Calendar plugin which can be used for booking rentals. There’s also multiple levels of paid versions of the same plugin which offers varying levels of features if you require more
- Please check the features list here
- I believe the plugin offers that options, yes but please consult the feature list in #2.
- The plugin uses shortcodes for each booking calendar so I do believe it’ll also do that but I’d consult the plugin developers first.
Now, I’ve used the WP Booking Calendar plugin in my demo as its the only open source one out there that I was allowed to package with the theme, however you’re free to use any Booking plugin you wish as long as it supports shortcodes.
Another Happy RE7 Buyer, Thanks Again Mandy!

WP Bakery VC not working: Sorry to do this here but I have not been able to get a support ticket through.
WP Bakery Visual Composer shows its animated icon with an overlay when Front End Editor is selected. I can see the page behind the overlay but the overlay and icon never go away.
WP and all plugins are up to date. I tried activating and deactivating all plugins, nothing.
Tried to get support from WP Bakery VC but they will not help as I did not buy the plugin from them but through your theme.
I submitted this ticket before but I don’t know if it went through. When I submitted – it took me to a page that said ‘Nothing Here!’ Nothing about the ticket being successfully submitted.
I do have a purchase code but will not put it here.
Thanks.
I just tested the front end editor on my one of my demo sites and it loaded up just fine, using the latest version of Visual Composer that’s packaged with the theme. It could be a possibly JS conflict with another non-required plugin you have activated or maybe some custom JS within the theme or possibly that single page you’re trying to edit?
I tried turning off each plugin and it made no difference. I have no custom JS. It is affecting all pages. The Visual Composer was working fine until just yesterday. This is the first issue I have had. The only Non required plugin I have is Yoast SEO and when I disabled it, it made no difference. I’m not sure what to do next.
If it was “working yesterday” and not today than something has changed. If you’ve already removed all non-required plugins and double checked there’s no JS errors by using your browsers Developer Tools > Console, than it could possibly be a server config problem, I’m not sure.
