Hi Diabolique-

That was perfect! Thanks so much for the quick response. We didn’t need the FAQ box in there anyway ;-) Thanks again.

Hi- Pretty sweet theme! I know that Shopify designs can be somewhat limiting (for limited shopify experienced people) but is there a way to do either of these things for this site: http://www.theportfoliostrategist.com/

- We only have (3) products to showcase. Can we center the products on the page so there wouldn’t be a blank, 4th space?

- If I wanted to add a FAQ thumbnail image…can I have this image click to the FAQ page? As you can see I added the thumbnail but I had to add it as a product to show on the product strip.

Other than that, this theme is exactly what I need for my client.

Thank you.

Hi!

1.Inside stylesheet.css is following line:

.index .product-box { margin:0 15px 3px 5px; }

You can increace space between thumbnails increasing 2 parameter: 15px

2. That’s rather impossible.

Hi Diabolique,

First off i love the theme – its looks great!

1 Question before i go ahead and buy it. Is it a standalone system? I mean can i upload onto my server and right away use it (after some customisations). Hope it doesn’t work on top of Magneto or something like that.

Sorry if this question has been asked & answered before.

I use a Linux web server with mySQL so I think it should work.

Hi!

This is an OpenCart theme so 1st you have to download & install the latest version of OpenCart engine:

http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=download/download

OpenCart requires:

Web Server (preferably Apache)
PHP (at least 5.2)
MySQL
Curl
Fsock

As I know all themes on Themeforest require some engine.

Thanks, I just re-added the background image and all the Slider got fixed. :)

I already reinstalled it 2 times and still the same problem. If I add the first image there is no problem, but after the second image it breaks…

I have added 4 images and works fine. BTW , the size of image has to be 835×300. Send me login info on e-mail and I will check it.

I know, I added the pictures in the Nivo Slider settings. And whenever I add the second image it gets all messed up. Solutions?

I have opened another test shop and slider works fine: http://king-inc1659.myshopify.com/

Maybe try to reinstall theme.

how can i get the menue drop down like in the demo? adventpixel.com

Please read documentation (II. Create drop-down menu).

I also added pictures to the nivo slider and the whole site went crazy. Images all over the site: https://avenue-vintage.myshopify.com/

Pass: eapria

This top image is a logo. There is special section for NivoSlider, look at this screenshot http://vanity-shop.myshopify.com/pages/theme-settings

How do I ad items into the purple menu? (not the top header)

It’s explained in the documentation (II. Create drop-down menu).

Hello Diabolique

I just purchased this theme, it is listed as an e-commerce theme, but it did not upload on my WP site hosted by Hostmonster, I have e-mailed you wondering why it didn’t work and your e-mail comment was that “It is written in liquid language and will only work when installed on shopify” No where on this site do I see something that would let a buyer know this, I hate to just loose my money, can I have the WP version in place of the Shopify version e-mailed to me?.. or am I just outta luck?

It’s listed as a “Shopify e-commerce theme”. It’s logical that all Shopify themes are for Shopify CMS , also all Magento themes are for Magento engine, Drupal themes are for Drupal engine, Joomla themes are for Joomla engine, etc… You can ask Theme Forest for refund but they just will laugh at you.

How do i get my menu to come down to the bar its popping up way at the top? Thanks great layout!!!

Can you show a screenshot?

Also, the words in the upper right hand corner say “Shopping Cart $0.00” – Does that automatically show up in the theme or is that just there in your demo. If it’s automatic, I’m wondering if for my site I can temporarily disable it…because we won’t be selling anything right away.

You just have to remove following code from layout/theme.liquid

<div id="cart-widget">
...
</div><!--cart-widget ends-->

Thank you! You’re quite quick w/your responses. I appreciate that! ...one last question – If I’m looking to have people upload mp3s or photos to my site through a form – is that something I can do in this theme? If not, Do u have any suggestions for doing something like that?

With shopify it’s impossible. It’s possible in wordpress, when client buy some product then he can upload some files.

I thought I read somewhere that you had a Word Press version for this theme so I thought this was it in themeforest. Do you have a Word Press version? If so, does everything look and work the same as this one and where can I find it? ...If you don’t have a Word Press version – what version is this?

I told that I sell WP version on my private website. I can’t post direct link here, just put “diabolique design vanity shop” into google and you will find it :)

I was hoping to complete a project with this template today or tomorrow – Once I’m able to upload it…is the rest pretty simple? Simple enough to complete in a day or so? ..I borrow a computer and I only get it a couple of days in the beginning of the week. :/

Yes, it’s very simple. Everything you have in documentation.

I tried uploading vanity shop after a recent purchase…however, it gives me this response and won’t install:

Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

Theme installed successfully.

This is not a WordPress theme.

Can you temporarily remove the words in the upper right hand corner that says “Shopping Cart $0.00” ?

Where? On live demo? Why?

This Shopify version…. the demo, on checkout, goes to Paypal checkout.

Does this theme include the checkout screen templates themed-up if I were to use Authorize.NET under my Shopify account?

Looks great. Thanks!

As I know if you want to use Authorize.NET then on the checkout page will be visible clickable Authorize.NET button.

So I bought your Phantom Shop just to try it out on open cart and it works quite nice.

As I said before I would also like to try Vanity on open cart specially because of the theme options page which make changes easy. I like the language settings section so that you can change label, button, info etc. texts. Im trying to create a store that gives a quote instead of a purchase.

Miss the theme setting feature in the Phantom Shop open cart version. Is that because the framework doesn’t allow it as opposed to Shopify?

I’m still trying to decide which type of shop to go with.

regards, HJ

To create a theme options panel for OC isn’t so easy, this not a wordpress or shopify.

Shopify is too basic and it isn’t cheap so I would choose OC.

i will bought tks
