Congratulations… you are the best!....... I will be your customer for life!........ I’m just wondering if you can add a html shop integration guide, for example with Stripe Checkout or a script. Thank you!

Hi there,

Thanks so much for purchasing! Glad to hear you’re loving Pillar :)

We’ve been toying with the idea of a stripe checkout integration for a while, though Stripe do already provide guides for how to connect their simple checkout to pages.

Hi, love the theme and have purchased it. However when I’m trying to embed a form, it gives me an error msg. I’m trying to embed a Campaign Monitor form. I’ll copy the entire form code, from <form> to </form>, and paste it in the area (when using the Variant builder). However, I get this message: “Please use an embed code from: Campaign Monitor, MailChimp.”

Any ideas?

Justin

Hi Justin, please make sure your form has an action attribute. Variant uses this information (action containing either createsend.com or list-manage.com) to determine how to handle the form elements.

If you still have trouble, please open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com

How do Retina/high resolution images work? Do we just a @2x image?

Picture tag isn’t cross browser compatible yet.

I tried using a 2x image and it’s not displaying. I see no js to make the swap.

It would seem that your theme doesn’t support high resolution images.

Can you tell me exactly how to implement retina images? If I have to add a script like retina.js, fine, but I need to know that. Please provide step by step instructions for working with high resolution images, because adding 2x images in the directory isn’t getting the job done (or there’s a bug). Thanks.

Yes, just use that plugin. We’ll add this functionality in an update.

James

Thanks James.

In the next iteration, could you add a class for image bullets in unordered lists? This is particularly relevant for pricing modules. Lists are always a bit of a challenge… :-(

Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback! Do you mean having a ‘tick’ or similar as a the bullet for a list?

We can definitely accomodate this.

Thanks, Craig

That’s exactly what I mean…bullets supporting images but not via an icon-font but just plain ol’ images.

Perfect! We’ll add them to our feature list and you’ll see them in an upcoming update :)

Thanks again for your valuable feedback!

Craig

And thanks!

If you ever decided to get into making themes for Nationbuilder (www.nationbuilder.com) they go for about $3000 USD each, and there’s a market. Just a tip!

Heck, I’d even help by breaking down the elements you’d need for that theme, html or otherise. But I’m sure you’re busy enough!

Hey Rob,

Glad you’re keen on the latest update! I had a quick look at Nation Builder, thanks for the tip! Couldn’t see the Theme market though, only a couple of starters made by NationBuilder …

Cheers again! Craig

Hey Folks,

We’ve just updated Pillar with some new layouts and some new blocks in Variant. We’ve also added some minor improvements to the builder.

1. A new Startup layout http://pillar.mediumra.re/home-business-startup-2.html 2. The first of our niche layouts intended for politicians: http://pillar.mediumra.re/home-niche-politician.html

Thanks to all customers for your valuable feedback! Keep it coming :)

Hello. Is it possible to realize the sending of messages from the contact form without the use of mailchimp? Use php – handler or something like that?

Hi there,

Yes you can use the plain PHP mail form to send messages if you don’t wish to use one of the integrated services.

Cheers, Craig

Hi do all your themes that work with your page builder work interchangeably? Can you create your own blocks using html css boostrap js and so on? Can you work with all the template files without the builder? Thanks and awesome work the sites look great btw :-)

Hi there,

1. Not yet – we’re working toward a unified code base but at this stage we’re not quite there yet, so each theme is intended as a stand-alone product

2. Again not yet – because the builder works completely offline, saving the blocks to local storage is an issue (one we’re hoping to resolve)

3. Yes you can :)

Cheers, Craig

I still love the demos you have shown here: http://preview.themeforest.net/item/pillar-multipurpose-html-with-page-builder/full_screen_preview/16164427?_ga=1.71001680.1981084964.1447395568

Just wanted to confirm that could we be able to import the demo as it is in the builder???

Hi there,

That should be possible by toggling the class ‘overlap’ on the section control

ok, if i want to see the documentation for that, then where would you direct me?

HI there,

Just place those sections in the order they appear and they will automatically overlap :)

So, I added a right-aligned button to the nav menu by using the “nav-module menu-module right” class.

However, the button is right up against the right edge of the page.

How do I add the same amount of spacing to the button on the right as the logo has on the left?

I checked the logo via the browser inspector but no go.

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing Pillar!

It looks like the button might be outside of the container, would you mind showing me a link to the site so I can better assess this? Also you can open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com and we can discuss in greater detail (code snippets etc)

Cheers, Craig

Awesome theme. Only one problem I’ve encountered is with using owl carousel. Any chance you could use another carousel?

The problem with owl is that it doesn’t appear to have been updated in the last 2 years and their github account shows 441 open issues. I wanted to lazy load several of my sliders and it simply doesn’t work. Maybe you can use slick or something else which is being actively maintained? https://github.com/kenwheeler/slick/

Thanks!

Hi there,

Owl is currently being maintained by a new author after a hiatus and v2 (the one used in Pilllar) is a current release. Having said that we are considering other slider alternatives with more features but have yet to settle on anything for sure.

Stay tuned,

Craig

<body class=”theme—boxed scroll-assist” ............. >

seems like Pillar does not currently support boxed layout does it? I turned on the boxed layout option in Variant however there was no effect at all.

Hi there,

Thanks for pointing out that bug – the boxed layout works fine with the output pages in the browser, the effect is just not showing in Variant. We’ll address that for the next update.

Thanks, Craig

not really. check line 3071 in theme.css. boxed option is disabled for screen sizes below 1400px:

@media all and (max-width: 1400px) { body.theme—boxed { padding: 0; } }

did you guys do this for a reason?

Hi there,

We did this because the design tends to look strange when boxed at narrower window widths, you can adjust the sensitivity of that media query by adding and changing it in your custom.css file

Cheers, Craig

Great template guys! Truly extraordinary in terms of the level of detail…

Couple of questions…

1) How do I add the emphasis of Pricing Plan 2 to Pricing Plan 4? 2) How do I move the CTA for Pricing Plan 3 to the bottom of the module?

Please ignore both questions…figured it out. :-)

Hey there,

Glad you got both of these worked out :)

Craig

Hi there! Before purchasing I would need to know if your site supports scandic letters. In other words, if I type them, will they stick, or do I have to tweak code? I noticed that the test page accepted scandics but will they show up properly?

No not necessarily – it just depends on the font you want to use. Many of the included fonts do include characters for other languages – though it’s worth testing these characters out (you can do that by typing into the builder).

Thanks again, Craig

Ok, will check, and thanks for the answers.

No worries :)

Theme is unreal, well done!

This is the exact cover form I’ve been looking for: http://imgur.com/tdWsubZ , Pillar comes really close!

Thanks Rob! Is it just the Facebook signup button that’s missing for you?

Sorta. Basically I’ll have to make about 44 political microsites in the coming 12 months (christ..) and trying to find an html template along the lines of: http://www.theresa2016.co.uk/ or http://www.alainjuppe2017.fr/ but the most sparse element out there is a great cover+form, and Pillar excels!

There’s a huge emerging market out there for political / fundraising templates, but most of them don’t fit “The Model”, which is heavily based on lead generation. But seriously, well done with Pillar!

Fantastic feedback thanks! I’ll look into potentially doing some political fundraiser layouts – or a separate template if required.

Cheers again! Craig

Hi there!

I need help. Email is not sent with phpmail from the successfully filled form. I’ve made same settings as at FOUNDRY but it’s not working here.

Hello and thanks for purchasing!

Would you mind opening a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com with a description of the error. That way we can assist you more effectively.

Thanks, Craig

Hello. My programmer fixed it already. Each your template raises the level higher and higher. I’m your fan )

Thank you very much Dimitriy :)

Hi folks,

We’ve updated Pillar to v 1.2 with a raft of bug fixes, some new Variant blocks and a new home listing layout, which you can view here: http://pillar.mediumra.re/home-landing-listing-1.html

Keep the great feedback coming!

Hi. I am considering purchasing this template collection, but I wanted to ask if it supports RTL (Right to Left) or not? Thanks.

Hello,

Currently it doesn’t support RTL but we are looking into adding this feature in the future :)

Craig

And one more. Is it easy to change the menu titels and delete in the footer?

Hi there,

Yes you can remove the elements as needed. Editing the menu titles is as simple as editing the text :)

Craig

Hi there, I was just wondering if the ‘variant builder’ also is coming online for Wordpress. I love the builder.

Hi there,

Currently Variant does not exist for WordPress – so not at this stage unfortunately.
