Hi Hody, a quick optimization question. I ran my site, which is now live, against GTmetrix and it is scoring pretty poorly, specifically regarding serving optimized images. The portfolio sections, are serving the full-sized images, only scaled down via css. I know of a few themes that offer portfolios and are able to serve the WP scaled down versions for the masonry view and will call out to the full image on click. What are your thoughts? Thanks, the site looks great just takes forever to load.
Same question I guess with enqueuing the google map API on every page even though it’s only used on one particular page, it just kind of feels a little heavy-handed.
Another question, I guess. When using youtube videos as row backgrounds a number of scripts continue to be loaded in the console. I’d use a self-hosted video but we’ve only been provided with one field on the row settings element to choose a video file. Other themes allow me to supply .mp4, .webm, .ogv to ensure the video plays on all browsers. Limiting it to one video means we are not showing video on a large percentage of browsers. Is this a visual composer thing or a Comet thing? I’ve used VC with other themes in the past and not been limited like this

How would I go about changing the portfolio slug? I’m using the portfolio post type for our Advisor profiles so I would like the slug to be “Advisors”. Is this possible? or can I register a new post type and still use the Portfolio options in VC?

Feature request: The service blocks ‘Text’ field cannot handle returns or basic html. Can you make the text editor field a rich editor field? It is currently far too limiting in scope. Also perhaps include a URL field with each service block with the option to show a button or make the service a link. Why list services without links? Thanks, guys!

1. Yes, of course. 2. Sure, you can select all available icons directly from VC. 3. Unfortunately not, you need to customize the theme in order to achieve it. 4. Yes, you just need to select the layout of the “Posts Page”.
