Hi there,
The slider is build with the Bootstrap carousel, unfortunately by default the carousel does not offer a parallax option.
If you want to have more options/settings for the slider we recommend the Revolution or Layer Slider. A good free alternative is Crelly Slider (https://wordpress.org/plugins/crelly-slider/).

Thanks guys, well actually I’m not using the slider, maybe I should make a full width row with a background image. Is there a way to do that with the parallax effect?

Yes that’s possible with the page builder. If you add a row, edit the row, and set the row layout to full width (in the Layout panel). Then add your background image and set the background display to Parallax (in the Design panel).
Hello. Is there a way to remove the white angle in the header nav? Or replace it with our own background image?

In the Navigation panel of the theme customizer you can set the ‘Navigation Left Part Background Color’ to the main navigation color so the angle will remove. If you don’t see this setting in the panel please update the theme to the latest version.

This requires some custom CSS.

If you want to remove the entire comment section from the blog post page you can use the following CSS line:
.comments-area { display: none; }

Howdy! Just have a problem with the “QT: Featured Page” block in VC.. It’s not pulling the excerpt from the page I’ve selected, just shows ”...”. tried using your Ticksy page (502 error), but it looks like it’s down. Know how to fix the no exerpt problem? I’ve added an excerpt to the page and even tried re adding the Featured Page block. Cheers

Ticksy has some (hosting) issues indeed. Hope it will be fixed very soon.
Can you try to add some more text in the excerpt? I think the length of the excerpt is exactly the length when it’s truncated (180 characters).

That worked! Well there you go.. I duplicated my excerpt text, then saved.. then removed the duplicate text, saved again and the excerpt started coming through again. Thanks

If the excerpt field is empty of the specific page you’re featuring the content from the page builder will be displayed, that’s why the ‘Click to Call’ is displayed.

I just updated the theme from 1.0.8 to 1.2.2 and it hosed the site. Specifically, the logo disappeared in the header, the header colors changed, it put the site tagline over the top of the header, and messed up the footer. The easiest solution is to install the ‘Duplicator’ plugin on your development WordPress install. It will create a copy of the current WordPress and theme install.
After installing the plugin you can create and download the package and a install file. Then upload the package and instal file on your live server and run the install file via www.yourdomain.com/installer.php

On the section on front page of the demo that says “Are you tired of spending hours mowing your lawn every weekend? Take back your free time by having us take care of your garden”. How do you get it so span the whole page? I’m setting the background of that module to an image but I get padding unlike the demo. Thanks.

The page builder padding will add it around the element. If you leave the padding field empty and add this via: Edit Row > Click Appearance Panel > CSS field
padding-top: 30px; padding-bottom: 30px;
The text will span the whole page.
How do I import the sample pictures along with the sample data etc, so that the site looks just like the demo site?

First would like to say this theme is pretty good, I look forward to more from you. It’s been hard to find new themes that have a unique side and are well coded and pay attention to the details.

There are three menu types Primary, Services, and Footer. When I create a new menu and designate it to the services menu, it doesn’t appear anywhere. Am I missing something?

The services menu isn’t hardcoded in to the theme. We used it as a reference for adding your service links which can be displayed with the ‘Custom Menu’ widget in the page sidebar via Appearance > Widgets
