Hi, will your one-click demo install override previous content? For instance, I currently have 10 posts on my site but I really love your beauty theme. Can I install it without losing my current posts?

Morning. The slider doesn’t seem to function properly. Bizarrely it works in “default” mode but not on “full width”. The odd part is that the image pops up and vanishes. I am sure it is something small but I cant figure it out. The site is hidden behind a coming soon screen but I am happy to PM you the login. Cheers

I have a question about importing a demo. In the user guide, you say “WordPress will then import each of the posts, page, custom post types, comments, and categories contained in this file into your blog.” But does it mean that all my current posts, categories and comments will disappear?! Because I already have a blog with a lot of content, so I am really afraid to lose everything.

hi, thanks for purchasing applique. by importing demo content you wont lose your current content, as WordPress simply add the content to your site (not overwriting). but if you only want the customizer setting you can import the json files from folder demo content -> customizer (in the downloaded package). choose the demo file that you like then import it via appearance -> import customizer.

I absolutely love your theme but I’m having a small issue. I can’t figure out how to set the about, contact, and 3 categories on the Applique “Beauty” demo theme. I can’t tell which widget areas correspond to give me that specific look.
Just in case my question is confusing, I’m referring to information that sits below the featured slider. Which widgets are those in particular for the “Beauty” demo?

I have a few questions before I purchase this amazing theme. First, is it possible to create categories within “Shop”, so I could sort products by categories? Second, does the WooCommerce store work for all blog demos? I’ve only seen it be sampled on three. I’m especially interested in “Beauty” demo. I read that someone had a problem with installing WooCommerce on “Art” demo… So, I want to check this with you first.

Applique is compatible with WooCommerce so you can use the plugin for any of the demo. also, product category is a default feature in woocommerce so yes you can use it along with product attributes and tags https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/

We purchased Applique theme and we love it so much! But big problem occurred! We integrated WooCommerce with 2CheckOut Payment API and after we set up everything, problem with Credit Card number field showed up! We can’t enter the Credit Card number and that field is too short and entire space for entering Credit Card details doesn’t look fine. On WooCommerce website we saw that we need to check our theme first. We switched Applique with WP Twenty Sixteen and everything looks and works normally! So, we established that something is wrong with Applique relative to WooCommerce or 2CheckOut maybe. Please, can you tell us what is the problem and can it be fixed ASAP as we plan to put our store in progress?
We are in love with this theme and we can’t wait to work things out!!!

hi thank you for the kind words unfortunately we dont have the styling for the plugin so the field is very small. please open a thread in our forum support.daffyhazan.com mentioning this issue and share your admin panel access (url, username and password) i’ll see if I can overwrite the styling.

We tried to access your forum and got a message that support has expired and that we need to purchase Support extension! My wife and I don’t want to buy extension, because if happen that you can’t overwrite the styling, then we need to purchase new theme which will be unnecessary extra cost! We set up entire blog and shop and this Credit Card number thing is the only issue which stops us to start business! VERY important thing is – before we purchased your theme, we asked you does WooCommerce work with all demos and you said yes!
So, we would love you to tell us whether you can overwrite the styling or not, because if that doesn’t work we would pay support extension for one question without solution and we will be forced to buy another theme, plus we spent money on theme that doesn’t work for us, even though we asked you before we purchased theme does it work with WooCommerce! If you can change the styling, we will be very glad to purchase Support extension!
And another thing, if you don’t succeed to overwrite the styling, does 2CheckOut Inline Checkout work normally with WooCommerce on Applique theme? Because, we don’t want to change this theme, but we have to be sure if we are going to spend more money on Inline checkout!
We hope that we will resolve this to mutual satisfaction!
hi sorry for the late reply i was away at the weekend, woocommerce does work with the theme, unfortunately 2checkOut is an extension, not the part of the plugin itself. so I need to test it first to see if we able to fix it, but from initial checking it should be easy.

Hi dahz_support, I have my featured area all set (just like in the fashion theme) & it works perfectly fine on a desktop, but on every mobile device it is just showing white space where the slider is supposed to be. Can you help please?

hi i can see the js error in mobile view . probably there’s conflict with one of your plugins. please try to deactivate plugins that doesnt come with the theme first and see if its fix the issue. if the problem still persist please send me your admin panel access to dahzinfo[at]gmail.com thanks

At the “Featured Area” there is a configuration option “Hide featured category”. Unfortunately this is not documented.
What does it mean?
A customer of mine is using this theme and we thought it would us let use a “secred” category for the featured area without showing it. But the posts in the are still have this category.

hello it’s supposedly hide the category from featured area. but there’s an error in the recent version that is not working. we are fixing this for future update.
It looks like the mobile menu functionality is not working in both the installed theme, and the theme demo

Hi, thanks for the Applique Theme. Its perfect for what I need. I have one question about creating category pages. For the avoidance of doubt, for me a category page is a page created dynamically from either single or multiple categories.
Its important for me to be able to do this because I want to have the master content but also create hubs surrounding specific subjects that I can optimise the SEO for.
How would I best do this using your theme? Is there a shortcode I can use in the page to do this?

hi for category unfortunately you can only use the archive page as we dont have shortcode for post. the archive page is auto populated from the post you’ve assigned to each category. for the gallery description im not sure what do you mean by that do you have any example of this?
Thats a shame because I wanted to create some specific landing pages for posts in specific categories. Have you any suggestions as to how I might be able to achieve this? Regarding the galleries, I basically want to have a short description beneath each picture that will include a credit to the photographer. Thanks, Alex
after you created your gallery you can edit the gallery and will see the field to add the caption like here https://s14.postimg.org/jmllbadc1/image.png . http://staging.daffyhazan.com/applique13/?page_id=244 . for category you may need to use 3rd party plugin like visual composer or essential grid.

I uploaded the theme but when it comes to Customize I keep getting this message: WP_Customize_Site_Icon_Control’ not found in /home/content/99/10233399/html/wp-content/themes/applique/customizer/options-customizer/logo-options.php. I’ve installed themes on my own before without problem, but am not an expert. Please advise. Thank you!!

Hello. I have a problem with the sticky sidebar, it looks like it conflicts with our ads so the ads won’t display. If i remove the TheiaStickySidebar.js, then the ads display.

I am interested in purchasing your theme Applique on theme forest, but I just had a few quick questions-
1) I see that many of the demos for this theme offer a slider- is that for recent posts only or can you make those pages as well? I was curious if I’d be able to add important details in my slider such as products/pages and/or clickable banners.
2) I’m mainly interested in the “food” blog option- can I change the background or does it have to be the same as in the demo?
3) Is there a variety of fonts to choose from and/or can I upload custom fonts?

1) Unfortunately we not provide the setting for now, but if you want using page or another post type for your slider you need to customizing the theme function as well
2) For food demo you can only change the font color and accent color, since we have 3 skin styles, if you want to change the background color of your website you can using boxed skin that implemented on “art” demo
3) Of course we’re provide plenty font from google font an you can use your own font for your website

Thanks. that worked. Another question. When I enable the sidebar on the blog the featured slider no longer works. When I disable the sidebar the featured slider works just fine. Also, I love the look of this theme, but I’m finding the site is a bit slow. I’m using Blue Host and they say everything is fine on their end. Any suggestions to improve site speed?
