Hi, this is pre sale question. I saw that on ALL you Javo theme for directory purpose, it seems like that you never set proper “conditions” to add listing. I mean, only the title field seems like mandatory, and all others no…. I really think that this is an important behavior for clients to submit listings, or it will be a mess. They can add listing with just… a name! But listings need mandatory fields like : address, at least 1 phone number, email, etc…. 1/ So, could you tell me if on this Javo Spot NEW version (and maybe Directory v3 too), you implement these functions that are necessary for a directory theme? 2/ Seems like also users/clients can add ALL categories (can select all of them). Can we set to select a number of categories by member level? This is also very important, or I don’t know how we can see member packages if they have all the same behavior.. Oh, and this is same question for cities too. 3/ Can we set custom fields to be used by level too? Like a very “Pro” member can use these custom fields (video, etc), and others no? This also is a very important function if you run a directory website.
Waiting your feedback, in order to takes your theme, if it has these minimum conditions

We have already answered these questions. javo spot, directory are based on same framework. we already have passed this issue and what we can do. the limitation of options is already on our plan. but not sure when and how it will be due to complicated work. so we can’t really promise now.

You can basically disable comments by a WordPress option. if you need to hide author parts, you can also do by simple custom css code.

Well like I said….great Theme but it is the first Wordpress Theme I have ever encountered where you cannot customise the look of Posts and trust me I have spent a fortune on WP Themes and have them from all the main big companies.
That is a serious flaw and a big mistake as Wordpress is after all built on Posts.
I would suggest to you that you rectify that as it ruins an otherwise flawless experience using the Theme…that is a great pity

I am sorry to hear that. however we don’t think it’s a huge mistake or serious flaw. we also checked few premium themes. they don’t have.
I am not also sure why you asked if these are default option in WP. I believe it’s not default options to have.
You may have purchased more blog style themes so far.
We are more directory theme and added some more options for blog or others (and will ). we have most of default options for blogs. if not, evanto doesn’t approve our theme released. As far as I know, this is not in our plan to add. we also haven’t got any problems about it from our buyers as well.

Ok I see….I had cancelled a subscription to a competitor of yours for a Directory Theme before getting this one. I would not call what you provide….Support…..
I will look to third party solutions to fix the problems I have with posts ..I will continue to use it only because of this one clients needs.
It is a fantastic Theme and the mapping feature is simply the best…...but the Not being able to change anything regarding the looks of Single Posts sucks…
Also shortcodes code shows up on the Map popup “Brief” screen…but then this will be classed as “Customisation” and won’t have a solution from yourselves either….

[Pre-Sale Question]
We want to build a professional directory that is not based on location. Therefore, can we remove all the map references and functionality from the theme?
Also, we want to add the listings ourselves, without users submitting listings. Is it possible to remove the front-end submission options?

It’s possible to close new membership. then you (admin) can handle all of listings. but we are not sure how you will post listings without maps. it’s based on google maps api. if you need to disable locations, maps, you need to customize it.

Ok, thanks. We’re mostly interested in using the magazine-style layout, adding our own listings that are not dependent on maps / location. What is the difference between Javo Directory and Javo Spot? What would be better for our purpose? Thanks!
As you may know, we created javo map framework and they both are using it. Javo Spot uses more shortcodes while Javo Directory uses more grids. You can choose the style that fits your project the best!

1) How are the images pulled in on the header of each listing? They seem to be a collage of the images below (three in one slide). Are the uploaded images resized for the header slider, or do they need to be uploaded at specific dimensions?
2) Is it possible to have the listing specific sticky menu in Javo Directory (as appears in Javo Spot)?
3) Is it possible to remove / rename some of the sections (i.e. amenities) in the listing pages?
4) Is it possible to remove the reviews (and stars) on the listings?
5) Is it possible to list the social media buttons (specifically, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for each listing)?
6) Is it possible to pull in Instagram feeds with the latest posts for each specific listing?
7) What happens after a user claims a listing, and we approve them? Do they get a login to manage their listing? Can we see that view?

4. it’s from review addon. you don’t need to use them.
5. It will be added very soon. (when lava directory manager is updated)
6. there is no option for it. you need to find a plugin which works fine with our theme.
7. After you claim, there will be new claim on claim list. you just need to approve it.
8. Yes, you can add a search form on a the page. it’s a shortcode ( http://directory-docs.wpjavo.com/shortcode-search/ ).
9. Yes it’s possible to merge (mix) them on a page. please have a look at FAQ ( http://directory-intro.wpjavo.com/check-list-or-faq/ )

Hello… First of all, good job for this amazing work you ‘ve done so far. Secondly i would like to ask about a feature if it’s possible coming in the future or is already added.. I was wondering if your theme is capable of displaying and offering on registered members who need to add and sell their own products (physical/visual) or booking ones on their dashboard -> submit? In few words i need my customers can submit their own products or bookings by creating them on “submit” (in their dashboard), setting up their own preferences like the price, hours, dates there (in submit dashboard) and when their customers order the product they get the amount of price and me the percentage – commission from the total payment. If something like this is already included… are you able to support it with some kind of help or you provide any documentation with tutorial video or article? (In case you have already documentation online i would like to see it) Thank you in advance, looking forward for your reply!

Hello…. Thank you for your quickly respond. I took a look on these links and read it very carefully. Yeah seems those add-ons will be the best of luck for what i’m searching for. The problem and the question i had ask before was if with those add-ons the registered members are capable of adding products or manage them with their preference such as cost as date and time, in their dashboard you ‘ve create. WC Vendor product is only managed by /wp-admin and not by your dashboard /member/username/member. So my question is, if with your theme registered members can add as booking items or products by “submit” (in member/username/add-lv_listing) as they can manage from font end and not be vendors first and then access /wp-admin?
Once you (your users) became a vendor, you are able to handle vendor products (products, booking). then you can choose your bookings (which you created) on submit listing pages. to create/edit bookings, you need to use backend (wp-admin pages). it’s also from the plugin feature (woocommerce).

Are you going to add the feature in near so users that visit the theme by their mobile phones, are capable of booking by it without needed to be from desktop? Best Regards
Yes it will be added to show booking on mobile. it’s responsive issue will be fixed in near future. I believe others work fine on mobile.
I don’t know if everything is working, by the time i don’t have access as user in your website’s demos. In that case i cannot test if you rating system and add a list works fine by mobiles and desktop also.
Unfortunately, we don’t provide a back-end demo test. ( it’s also not common to provide back-end demo in themes. )

I’m very interested on this theme, but I’d like to make my case really clear to have sure that it’s meets my demand.
I’m making a new website for a customer and this site has a section where we need to put his distribuitors.
My intention is to use the list capability to manage the distribuitors and show on properly, i.e., its not the list is just a part of the website.
This theme has funcionalities to make the other parts, as sliders, configurable blog page and others thinks to make a really good site?

I think it’s possible. but it depends on your detail plans. you need to have a look at our demo sites for the details such as front-end submit forms (if you need for distribuitors)
Your project is little different from ours. so you need to have a look at the details. as you may know we don’t assist customization. our theme is based on very common and strong framework, code (boostrap, html5, css3.. etc) so you can also hire someone to customize it. our develpers do some paid service. but not sure.

I have bought this theme only for one reason – magazine template! But it is not included in the downloadable file. How can I make magazine site using this theme as per demo site? There is nothing in docs about setting up magazine template style…

Some more notices about javo spot: Is it possible to have tabs associated to an item like on the javo directory theme. To me this is a very useful settings which i don’t find on javo spot. Other Thing, You should get the possibily to associated a png image to a amenity, For example, instead of having a checked or unchecked box, you have a png. This is done like that on many professional sites. Thanks again for your excellent theme.

Your theme was perfect, easlly to install, all work perfect, I only have a probleme, i juste receive a message for Webmaster Tool about a lot of erreur AMP
I use before Javo Directory since Janvier, the same plugin and all work, and know stop to work. The message of error : 1) The tag ‘script’ is disallowed except in specific forms. 2) The mandatory tag ‘amphtml engine v0.js script’ is missing or incorrect.
I clear all the cache, the same I desistalle all other plugin, the same so I think it come from your theme, can you help me to fixe it ?

amenities are a taxonomy and it’s possbile to be searched. but custom fields are not possible to be searched.
Question about geolocation on low resolution screens. I am testing this demo http://javothemes.com/spot/demo2/map/. I see that geolocation is working with the radius field on high resolution screens and i can see my geo position but when the resolution is low, the radius field is not longer available and i can no longer get my position. How could I see my position on a mobile devive on the map? Thanks
