You can have all the functionalities we advertized at our demo site. Theme comes with Visual Composer and Revolution Slider plugins included so you do not have to pay for them.

So I tried to import the demo content, and I got the message “Import is completed”, but somehow the demo content doesn’t show up. Nothing in “Pages” nor in the media library. What can I do?

When it comes to licenses, we bought extended license for Visual Composer and Revolution Slider, and we can’t give you license code because of policy and terms of Theme Forest, because of that we included these plugins in our theme (you can find plugins in theme folder/plugins/ there are installation files of these plugins), also we will update these plugins to the latest version with theme update so you just need to wait for next theme update and there will be the latest version of plugins if it exists. Then when you update theme you just need to go to your back-end Plugins and to deactivate/delete these plugin then you will get some notification to install necessary plugins to our theme, then just click to install/activate again these plugins and that will be all. If you don’t get this notification to install necessary plugins, then just go to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload -> Find these plugins in our theme folder/plugins select one by one and click import/install.
You can ignore messages about activation these plugins, you have/get inside Plugin settings.

when the theme is activated, it states there is an update available. when i click on to receive the update, the affinity theme appears to be a weeding specific theme different to the original affinity theme????? but still called affinity

Thank you for choosing Affinity.
We advise using at least php 5.4.x or higher, because the latest version of WordPress and all themes require that version because of security vulnerability and php functions we used in our theme. Also note that WordPress is now officially recommending php 5.6 or greater https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

hi I have upgraded it to 5.4 (which is highest at godaddy options). Parse error is settled. But the Mikado Core is not working. Seems many issues I had with the installation part.

How to use larger logo? I have to change on CSS or any setting in Option?

We implemented function that makes logo image double smaller than the size of original image, to insure good quality on retina devices. All you should do si to upload image that is double in size than dimensions you want to see in frontend. Having trouble with the contact forms. Installed theme > plugins > contact form 7. But not seeing any of the pre-built forms. Just the default Contact Form 7 forms. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hi,
You should install that plugin before demo import to get form demos. You can redo demo import with plugin activated. Note that in this case content gets overridden but menus duplicated. So delete all menus in Appearance > Menus and then redo demo import and you will have forms you need.
Otherwise, you can open support ticket at https://mikado.ticksy.com/ and our support agent will assist you on that with sending you form codes, but you will have to create forms one by one.

This happned because you have imported the theme demo content more than once. You should just to Appearance/Menus and delete all of the duplicated menu items there.

I have some questions. I really confused about Footer Widget setting. I import demo content with All and I try to change wording in the bottom area Like : Make with Love by XXXX. I want to change this word to another. But I edit in widget for the footer bottom and i can’t see it changing. Do you have some advices?

You just need to set the header to be transparent inside the Mikado Options/Header to make this option aplly globaly, or inside the each individual page backend, under the Mikado Header section.

We implemented plenty of powerfull shortcodes in our theme. We are updating our theme whenever some of included plugins release new version, when we fix any listed issue, or when we want to improve some of already included elements. At the moment we do not have some specific plans, but we are doing our best to keep our theme always up to date. You are welcome.

The plugin for page building that is included in our theme is Visual Composer. We’ve also created a lot of custom shortcodes for it and it is essential plugin to get page layouts you see at our demo site.
