Hi! I bought this item 8 months ago. Don’t have used support before, but it was expired and I just have one question. I will be glad if you can just answer this simple question here:
How do I add a related article after an article on post page? If you don’t think about it when create this beautiful theme, can you tell me a good addon to I add it?
Hey iBruno,
Thanks for your comments and purchase of Cedar.
By default, Cedar will display the next and previous posts within the post page footer, the related posts widget can also be placed within the drawer. I recommend checking out the WordPress plugin directory – there are a number of related article plugins available.
Hello.
Good afternoon. I liked your theme. I think I can turn frontend / program / java into what I need. Transport / transit / logistics.
Is this theme easy to change for other visions?
I want to develop an area of articles for various subjects other than computer science;
Can I have with this theme the ability to gather multiple textual posts / photos / videos from several different authors and then apply restricted area to members?
I wait.
Hey imedier,
Thanks for your interest in Cedar.
Of course, the content you see within our live demo is simply to demonstrate the themes styling and functionality.
There is support for various post-styles, this includes text, images, and video – more of which can be seen within the item description.
If you wish to add membership and content restrictions to your blog, you will want to look into third-party plugins which add this functionality.

Hey, I’m unable to access your support page (support.ecko.me). Connection keeps timing out (errors 502 or 504 usually) and it happens on different browsers and different devices and it’s been like that for some time.
How can I access your support?
Hey fjanecic,
Apologies for this – our support service is currently experiencing an outage. Feel free to send your queries via the contact form on our profile (or directly via email) and we will be happy to assist.
Thanks for the swift response!
Hi.
I just upgraded my blog to the latest version 4.0.1 and found two bugs. After the upgrade, images in articles don’t have lightbox effect anymore. Before the upgrade, I did not need to have any special plugin for the lightbox effect, but after the upgrade I had to install Easy FancyBox.
And another bug is with image align. When I set image align to center, the image is attached to the article “as is” with the original size. It does not respect size of the article – it is wider than the article. It’s visible for example here https://www.lukasberan.cz/2016/10/prevod-a-prevzeti-fsmo-roli/. When I set align of an image to “none”, it’s correct as you can see here https://www.lukasberan.cz/2017/03/nastaveni-vicefaktoroveho-overovani-office-365/
I use just media files, not galleries, so both issues are related to media files.
Hey Bari007,
Both of these are intended – Lightbox functionality was removed in place of using a plugin which will allow more control and persist when switching themes.
As for images, when using the center aligned image it will use the wide image styling as can be seen on the live demo here.
If you have any further questions feel free to open a ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist.
Perfect, thanks a lot for the explanation
Hi dev, left you a bug support request as my support is expired. Hoping you can take a look. Thanks!
Hey futuretro,
We have just responded to your ticket.
Thanks dev
When sharing a post to Facebook, the wrong excerpt is used. It seems the page source displays related post excerpts as well making Facebook always take a different posts’ excerpt. As you can’t modify this while sharing could you fix this in the theme?
Hey komrad2,
Thanks for your purchase of Cedar.
Please open a bug report on our support site regarding this and we will be happy to assist.
Do you have any discount for the customer who already buy your other theme? Maybe this theme is a better choice for me but the price is a bit expensive…...
Hey lenkimo,
Unfortunately we don’t offer individual discounts (we simply don’t have the functionality available to us). We infrequently have promotions, however have no upcoming plans for one at this time.
Hi,
Is it possible to adjust the header on the frontpage, so that it looks like the one on the “Page Content” Demo (this one: http://cedar-wp.ecko.me/installing-nginx-on-ubuntu-14-04/) page?
See Screenshot: http://d.pr/i/ousn/3K1goQpy.
Because we really like this theme but would love to have a white menu on the frontpage and a less dark background-image on the frontpage.
Thanks for your help.
best, Stefan
Hey Stefan,
Thanks for your interest in Cedar.
If no cover is assigned to the front-page or individual post then the standard white header/navigation will be used.
Hi.
Thank you for the quick answer.
That means if we want to use a cover still we would not be able to have the white header/navigation, right? Is there a way to make this work still?
This can be achieved with some custom CSS code. If you decide to purchase, submit a ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist with this.
Hi dev. Google’s latest AdSense policies only allow 300×250 ads below the fold. That means integrating an advert in the hamburger menu is against their T&C now. I just got a notice from AdSense regarding this violation.
Just thought you should know.
Hey futuretro,
The included advertisement widget is not AdSense exclusive – and supports any advertisement service which provides an embed code. It would be up-to the end user to review the terms of the service for their chosen platform and act accordingly to adhere to them.
I agree. Users can choose to switch to other ad publishers. However i thought i’d give you a heads-up because your product sales page makes reference to support for Adsense advertisement widgets.
Under “12 Custom Widgets” – “AdSense/Advertisement Widget”
I don’t blame you though. With Google tightening their ad policies, we just all have to be careful and help each other along.
Reviewing AdSense current terms they enforce below-the-fold adverts only on mobile to avoid indistinguishable content. The drawer is only shown on user action so doesn’t displace the first-load contents, further this would only be an issue if an advertisement widget was placed within the upper section of the drawer.
If the widget was placed below the fold for mobile devices, thus conforming to the provided terms, then I would recommend making an appeal to platform regarding the given notice.
Hi, do you seriously consider to add an infinite scroll feature for the blog?
Hey tnalias,
Thanks for your interest in Cedar.
Cedar doesn’t include native infinite-loading functionality. We would recommend implementing this via a third-party plugin or customization.
Hey dev, Google has rolled out its latest update: Mobile-First Index (ranking search listings based on mobile responsiveness).
I did a “Fetch as Google” check on my site running Cedar theme and rendered my home page and post page as Mobile Smartphone. 2 observations:
1. Homepage cover post is rendered extremely large and not responsive 2. Homepage content is cut-off midway. Googlebot is unable to render the bottom half of the site 3. Post page content is not rendered at all. It is one giant black screen.
Dev, I think you might want to look into this ASAP.
Hey futuretro,
Many of the visual mobile viewers are inaccurate – I would not recommend using these to test what your users are actually seeing on a particular device. Instead I would recommend testing directly on a mobile device or resizing your browser viewport.
Google recently released a new responsive tool to check against its new requirements, which Cedar passes without issue, as can be seen here. If your site/blog is not passing this test then I suspect a customization or third-party plugin is having an unwanted effect, and would recommend reverting back to theme defaults.
If the issue persists please create a new ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist.
Hi there!
I like this theme but I want to know something before.
Any chance to reduce the “Cover Height” under the 50%? Is it possible to center everything in the list post page and category page? (post title, category and date) Is it possible to reduce the height between the posts?
If you don’t know what I mean check this website: ahrefs.com/blog/
As you can see everything is more compact.
Last thing…. is it possible to use this post http://cedar-wp.ecko.me/design-patterns-introduction/ and have a Quick Links? Links to any spot in a WordPress post. Like this page: ahrefs.com/blog/negative-seo/
Hey LuisAndradeHD,
Thanks for your interest in Cedar.
The cover height can be adjusted via the included customizer options. The other features would need to be done via your own CSS modifications or a third-party plugin.
Hello Is this the theme of RTL languages are supported? Is RTL be added in the next update?
Hey saeed205,
Thanks for your interest in Cedar.
When using a RTL (Right-to-Left) language with Cedar you will need to use some custom CSS to correctly align text. If you decide to purchase, submit a ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist with this.
Hi, I’m considering buying this theme, but a few quick questions: What is the best way to add a simple portfolio and a photo gallery to this theme? Also, am I able to add in the posts featured images above their titles? I like how minimal the theme is.
Hey monchee,
Thanks for your comments and interest in Cedar.
Cedar doesn’t include a portfolio page, however you may be able to add this functionality via a third-party plugin.
You can choose to display the post featured image above the title via the included post options.
Hi,
Your shortcode plugin has a bug with Cedar when you use it with a child theme that you’ve included with the theme.
The issue is it works great on mac but it wouldn’t load parent stylesheet properly in Windows.
Is this a known issue?
Hey ryanhkim,
Thanks for your purchase of Cedar.
We can confirm that both the included ‘Ecko Plugin’ and child-theme are functioning correctly with the latest version of Cedar. It sounds like a possible local caching issue after switching themes, and we recommend clearing your browser cache on the mentioned Windows system.
If the issue persists or if you have any further questions feel free to open a ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist.
Problems with Sub-Menus on Tabs
The Main menu does not work on many tabs. I had to install another menu. This was unfortunately expensive and very unpleasant for a purchased theme. The developers argue that it works but on all the tab of my customers and also on my own tab you can not open and select a sub-menu point. This can be tested with the demo theme http://demo.ecko.me/?theme=CedarWP. FF 49 on desktop is of course no problem, but on tabs it is one, because there is – well-known – no hover & click. Sad and unhappy
Hey uske,
As mentioned in our most recent ticket response we are unable to replicate this issue on the browsers mentioned. After requesting further information to help identify the issue you didn’t provide this.
Unfortunately if we cannot reproduce a reported issue and you are unwilling to assist with identifying the cause there is little we can do – as we have no related reports from other theme users.
As always if you have any further questions feel free to open a ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist.

hi, I can’t submit a ticket on your forum. I should have like 28 days of support left and when I try to submit a ticket I get this message: “Sorry, that purchase code doesn’t seem to be valid.” But I have correct purchase code from themeforest. Could you help me with that?
Hey myloxylo,
Thanks for your purchase of Cedar and apologies for the inconvenience. Please email your query to support@ecko.me and we will be happy to assist.
