Hi there, we are having a problem where comments on posts are being cut off on the right margin. Please see here http://winterbournestokepc.org.uk/we-need-your-help/#comments
Can you help with this please?
Thanks
Hi,
that’s a bug. I will include the fix in the next update. Meanwhile, you can fix it by using this Custom CSS:
.article-page .article-comments { white-space: normal; }

Ok great, I’ve added the custom css and it’s fine now, thanks
Hi, I wonder if it’s possible to have pictures on pages with listed items (like news, blog, etc) to be shown before entering the final page (with details). Not sure how to explain it better, but sending you a screenshot with point of problem, just let me know how to send it? Regards!
Hello,
I would like to know how to remove the border/background from PayPal buttons when installed on this theme (example). Thank you for any help!
Emma
Hi,
please share your URL where I can see it. This doesn’t seem like part of the theme but more like something created via a 3rd party plugin.

How can I enable tagging for document posts?
Hi,
unfortunately, Documents (and all other custom posts like Events, Galleries, etc) don’t support tags at the time.

Hello, I have a question. We have several departments. In left menu, I have for example Department 1(and sub-menus), Department 2 (and sub-menus), etc. I would like to know if when I click on menu and submenus of Departement 1 that the whole theme comes in blue, if I click on menu and submenus of Departement 2 that the whole theme comes in green, etc… I mean that the menus items define the theme colors. Thanks for your reply. BR Fred
Hi,
something like that would require additional coding, it is definitely not possible out of the box. You will have to hire a freelancer for that.

Is possible to get the events to display in a monthly calendar format, like this: http://www.ashbournelife.co.uk/whats-on/ ? Or are there any other plugins that integrate with the townpress events to provide this functionality?
Hi,
unfortunately, that’s not possible. Events functionality in TownPress is meant to be super simple, you will have to use some 3rd party plugin for anything more advanced (for example The Events Calendar).
Lubos
BTW, the site you’ve shared is using All-in-One Event Calendar plugin.
Thanks, I will take a look at those. Is there any way to turn off the TownPress events functionality so that conflicts can be avoided?
Open wp-content/plugins/lsvr-toolkit-townpress/lsvr-toolkit-townpress.php file and remove line 54. Then refresh your permalinks under Settings / Permalinks.
I am having trouble with Documents. When I upload a PDF, it works fine; I click the link and it opens a page with a download link. But when I upload a Word document and then click on the link, the file automatically downloads without going to a separate page. How can I fix this so that it opens a page with a download link?
Correction: The PDF opens in a new page when clicked.
Hi,
that is correct, browsers won’t open Word documents, it has nothing to with the theme. Just paste the URL of any online Word document online into your browser and it will do the same.
“How can I fix this so that it opens a page with a download link” – you are already clicking on download link when you click on document name.

Hi, thank you for your template. I have a little question, sorry for my english.
How i can make the first item of main menu disabled? In your demo if i click on GOVERNMENT i see the TOWN HALL page, the first sub item and in the TOWN HALL breadcrumb i don’t see the GOVERNMENT page. How can i do it?
Thank you Marco
Hi,
breadcrumbs are not generated from the menu. “Government” in my menu also links to “Town Hall”. It is the same link except I’ve renamed the menu item to “Government”. Again, breadcrumbs do no reflect the structure of your menu. There is different logic there. Feel free to share your URL and tell me what exactly you want to hide, I may give you a better hint then.

I have received notification of an update to the Theme and told to download from my account page. If I apply the update will it replace any content I have?
Hi,
no, your wp-admin settings or content won’t be changed. Only the theme’s files. If you haven’t made any code changes to those files, you are safe to update.

Hi,
Can you help me pls ASAP? Social Media Icons doesn’t show up on the footer. I have to go online with the site on monday morning.
Hi,
have you added them under Theme Options / Social and then enabled them under Theme Options / Footer Settings? If yes, please share your URL.
Lubos
Yes. I had to clear cache on my browser. Anyway thx a lot.
No problem. Glad you’ve sorted it out.
I like this theme, thank you for it. I would like to be able to change the color of the text in the sidebar widgets. I like the blue theme color scheme, but I do not want the text to be blue. Is there an easy custom css to change the color of text in the sidebars?
Hi,
you mean links color? If so, try this Custom CSS:
.sidebar a { color: #FF0000; }
Change ”#FF0000” to hex code of your desired color.
Lubos
Perfect! Thank you!
Good morning I would to know if possible use Poedit to translate this theme, I’ve read in the tutorial that you suggested to use WPML plugin
thanks Andrea
Hi,
you can use Poedit as well. Language files are in “languages” folder in theme’s root.

Events do not get added to the Events sidebar widget. Also, I am getting a PHP error of…
NOTICE: UNDEFINED INDEX: CATEGORY IN /HOME/.../WP-CONTENT/PLUGINS/LSVR-TOOLKIT-TOWNPRESS/WIDGETS/EVENTS.PHP ON LINE 95
The code I have there specifically is…
$category = $instance[‘category’];
var_dump($instance) shows no category index in the array. For now, I have used a ternary to conditionally set the value of $category, but as I said earlier, no events are showing in the widget regardless of what I do. Thank you in advance!
Hi,
first, make sure you are using latest version of TownPress (1.4.3) and LSVR Toolkit (1.2.2). Then try to re-save settings for that specific widget (go to Appearance / Widgets find that Events widget in sidebar and click on Save). If nothing helps, send me your admin access via PM and I will take a look at it.
Lubos
Tried your suggestions and nothing worked. It appears to only be the right sidebar though, as when I try to add other LSVR widgets to the right sidebar it throws the same error, but only in the right sidebar. I ended up creating my own widgets, as my needs were simple, but I wanted you to know in case it is a bug with the theme. Oh, and I have wp_debug set to true, in case that wasn’t clear
I will try to include a fix for that issue in next update. If events are still now showing, make sure your server is running PHP 5.4 or newer. Feel free to share your URL if possible.
This is an amazing theme, shame it does not have a business directory built in, is this something you plan to do? I was thinking of using this for guide website as the layout is beautiful but I can add locations to it.
Hi, Is it possible to have the Notices for a specific category listed in a sub menu so that as notices are added they automatically appear in the sub menu.
Hi,
sorry, but that’s not possible without some non-trivial code customization and you will have to hire a freelancer for that.

Hello Lubos, I am trying to set a single.php page for a plugin but I see there is no single.php page in the hierarchy of the theme folder.
I’m trying to copy the contents of single.php (as I have on other themes) to match the display for the plugin output.
Any idea where I can find the standard single.php or perhaps the name changed?
Thanks, David
Hi,
there is no such file in the theme. The closes one will be either page.php or single-lsvrnotice.php.

Hello- I’m experiencing an issue since the last update. For some reason the submenu animation slides the menus from the very top of the page, rather than just from the menu itself. The weird part is that it only does this on the homepage. All the interior pages display the submenu animation correctly. Any ideas on this?
http://www.dodgeville.comHi,
it seems it is caused by some conflict with latest version of Visual Composer. I will have to release new theme update to fix it. It should be ready within few days.

On trying to install the required plugins I get the following error for LSVR Toolkit (TownPress), Redux Framework and WPBakery Visual Composer:
The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
Contact Form 7 has installed fine.
Any idea how I can overcome this?
Hi,
it seems there is something wrong with your server config. Anyway, you can try alternative approach:
Download the full package from ThemeForest (if you haven’t already). Unzip it and you will find all plugins in “Plugins” folder. Upload them one by one under Plugins / Add New / Upload Plugin. Then just activate them.
If you are unable to upload those .zip files, then the last resort is to upload via FTP.

I am considering suggesting that our community https://www.lcca.ca/ uses TownPress. You can see from our website that we need some help.
The community association does not want to place all of the responsibility and work for the site on one person. What type of Multi Author solution might work best with TownPress?
http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/21-great-plugins-to-manage-multi-author-blogs-efficiently-and-successfully/Hi,
I don’t know what exactly are your needs, but WordPress supports multiple user accounts by default. You don’t need any plugin to allow several users to make changes to your site. It is a core functionality and it has nothing to do with the theme itself.
