Hello. I have been a longtime lover of this theme and don’t want to change it. However, this theme is no longer working properly. It will only load with PHP 5.6 and I need to update the PHP to the latest version for my other sites. My hosting company said it appears there is an issue with the theme. Is there any support for this?
Hi I am a long-time supporter of your theme and purchased your theme when it was named “Surreal – One Page Parallax WordPress Theme”. My Surreal theme’s slider hasn’t been working properly, it only shows the first image, I checked and made sure that I don’t have any plugin activated. We don’t recommend you to do that, because it will take you a lot of time! It’s better to install fresh new install the copy paste content from existing website than installing it on an existing website.

You can add the login form using blocks in the Administraction menu > blocks, simply drag and drom login form.

You define regions in your theme .info file. located in /sites/all/themes/Surreal/
You then need to put the relevant template tags in your page.tpl.php file.
So for example if you defined the region sidebar in your themes .info file, you would then add: <?php print render($page[‘sidebar’]); ?> to the relevant place in your page.tpl.php.

If you are referring, the slide text, you can do that in the theme settings. (in administration menu)
If you are referring the block text, you can do that using block from Structure > Blocks. (in administration menu)

Yes you can add many slides as you want, simply go to the Administration menu, and select the theme settings. scroll down to the Website background slideshow, and upload new images then add your content.

Hello, I purchased this theme some months ago, but just now I start to install and customize it to my client’s site, thus I haven’t any support now – it has expired. I did not face any problems, but my client’s needs are to have more than one portfolio, in fact 3, one below the other. I try to create this, by changing and adding code to your theme and I succed to have 3 portfolios. But I have an issue with the javascript: sometimes when I click to portfolio2 and 3 categories (All, etc.) I don’t have the expected results (it goes to first portfolio icons, or to footer section, etc). Could you help me with this, and if you could I will renew my support license otherwise not. Regards, George

Yes you can have multiple portfolios but you need to customize the code.
Try to duplicate everything from content type, views and views template files.

You have to duplicate the code and use custom js for each portfolio. Since you have already three on your homepage.

To create 2 files, jquery.isotope2.run.js & jquery.isotope3.run.js and what about the code inside them? I cannot see what to change, for example var container = $(‘section.portfolio_container’); or container.find(’.portfolio’).each(function () ? Beacuse I use the same class ‘portfolio’ for all 3, do I have to change this? Thanks again for your time!

I’ve got the problem with video in background (slider).
It should be simple (it’s in documentation files) 1. Select Slideshow type ?Video 2. Add your video 3. Click Save Configuration to save settings.
So I’ve done everything and it doesn’t work. Maybe there are some more steps?

Before buying: in the slider, the titles can be clickable? It supports multilingual? It’s possible to add buttons in the blocks with the background images, these blocks can have height 1080px?

Thanks for your interest in our theme, unfortunately titles are not clickable in the slider. Yes it’s support multilingual. If you mean with blocks with parallax images, yes you can control them from theme settings, and you can add custom html.

another ques regarding portfolio. I’ve sub-categories under categories for portfolio. E.g. Under “branding” , there’ll be other sub-categories where I’d need to upload 20 images in each sub-category.
Is your portfolio items a gallery? I can see only one image, so not too sure from the demo.

Hello, I’m trying to rename the theme so I can develop on one and not break the core version.. I got it working for the most part but it seems like there’s a css or js issue because a lot of assets do not load on the copy vs the original. I did a find and replace all for the word “surreal” in the copy and replaced it with a copy name, copied the “surreal” folder in the files directory and renamed it accordingly as well. Any advice?

I suggest you to create new css file and include it in surreal.info instead of creating new sub theme.
If you want to change only theme name (not theme machine name) you can do it also from surreal.info file, located in sites/all/themes/surreal

Where can I find the updates with the video fix? I have 2 purchased copies of this template.
