I bought Palas template.
I setup the video initially to stop, and then click the play icon to play the video as code below:

Re mobile version, when I put the video in the front page, there is a default “play” icon in the middle of the screen in iPhone.
Android phones do not have this problem.
Pls advise how to get rid of the centre play icon when initially load the page on iphone.

It seems that the play button is added automatically by iOS, and you will have to hide it using some css selectors. Please take a look here.

How to set a div with 100% height? I have a parallax image but it does not occupy 100% of the rest of the screen

There’s no easy way to do that, and there are quite a few changes that need to be done in order to achieve that (changing and adding some code snippets from css and js files).

great theme really nice work thank you! please; main slider bg (bg01 for example) it says exacly 1920×1080 pixel if i replace it with a picture with exacly this dimensions its just half to see. thank you!

There’s no need to have a 1920×1080 image for a full width slider (not full screen). You could use a smaller image. For example, if your slider height is 600px, then you can use a 1920×600 image (or 1440×600).

ah ok thank you, how can i change the heigt of the sliders
Open js/script.js file, go to Slider config section, and change the startHeight property from the slider you’re using (e.g. rs_fullwidth). Take a look at this screenshot for more details: http://i.imgur.com/4pKbbmX.png

witdh is: 1170 height: 550. if i export my pictrue in exacly this dimensions the lower third is cuted off…

or just tell me what the sliders/banners on the index page what size/dimensions they exalcy have than i make it like this! its not good when the placeholders say “1920×1080” and the size doesnt work. Thank you very much!
It’s pretty difficult for me to debug this without seeing the issue.
But, let’s recap:
- You want your image to perfectly fit your slider.
- Your slider is 1170×550, but 1170 is the width of the slider’s container, not the actual size of the slider.
- Your slider is full width, meaning that it expands to the width of the window. (it can be 1920 for large screens or 1366 for laptops etc)
- If your image is 1170×550, and the screen size is larger, your image will not fit your slider, because the image will expand so that it fits the slider width (screen width), and thus a small part of the image (bottom) will not be visible.
- If your slider has a fixed width and height (e.g. boxed slider), and you have an image with the same size (width and height), then it should all be good.

In order to correctly use the reCaptcha you will have to create an account with Google and set your website domain. You will find more details in the Documentation included with the template, contact form section.
If you just simply want to remove the reCaptcha, then please open a ticket via our Support System and I will give you a modified contact.php script that does not use the recaptcha code.

Take a look at the live preview here. You can find more layouts in the main navigation menu – Pages (the last column).
You can include an element inside another element, but this depends on more factors, and sometimes you will need to add or change some css styles.
Send me a message via the contact form from my profile page, and I will give you a modified version of Palas (some pages and plugins removed).

Hello! I am having a window resizing issue with the theme. Above width 1485 it works correct and below width 991 it works correctly, but in between, the colored feature box texts gets lost in the page. Do you happen to have a fix for this?

Simple. I don’t want my interior pages to have the large panel (or slider) below the menu.

Well, you can choose a smaller page header for you interior pages.

Or, you can simply remove the page header and include a div with a border below the menu.
yes that’s what I needed to know. Can the volume be turned off on a video panel? For example, if I use this page: http://abusinesstheme.com/demo/palas/index_13.html my video will have volume. But I’d like to give the option of loading without sound.
Theme looks good and beautiful. But code is ugly. Styles written with random spaces between properties and their values, in few parts of code exist 0px instead 0. Js code is simple but also have “Monkey patching”, use load instead ready. And create preloader for hide problems with loading slider not good. Theme need a lot refactoring and optimisation. At all theme is beautiful and cover main all applications requirements, but if I had seen it before buy I would newer buy.
That worked perfectly. One last question. Below 991 (when the menu shrinks and the logo goes above), where can I change to make the mobile nav display at 991px wide and lower?
So, you want the mobile menu to trigger at 991px instead of 767px, right?
Well, this is quite difficult to achieve as there are many header/menu variations plus the sticky menu. You will have to change some css and js code and, I do not recommend this.
I have to say that this functionality was requested by some other customer, and I think I will change the navigation menu breakpoints (mobile and desktop only), but only for my upcoming templates.
