Javo Directory V3 uses “Javo Map Framework”. It is very strong and loved by users. This framework is well-made for Google maps with javo post types. It uses “listings” for V3 and can be used for other themes in the future, such as jobs, properties, classifieds, etc. They use basically the same framework but there are some differences, such as design and shortcodes. Javo Spot uses more shortcodes while Javo Directory uses more grids. You can choose the style that fits your project the best! Please have a look at Javo Spot and directory V3 for more details and each different styles.

The promotion is not same. you can’t use single listing addon for javo spot yet. our developer is working on compatibility. but not yet. if you want to have it, you need to use javo directory.

Can you create custom listing pages? Does it support user registrations and ReCaptcha? Can this theme display 1/2 stars? Also, is the average user review calculated and can it be displayed as stars and in numerical format? An example is the listing for this theme in themeforest. The item rating (average) is displayed in starred format, then below in numerical format.

If you want to have another listing pages by shortcodes, you can make it but it depends on what custom listing pages. block shortcode can get each categories to display.
It supports user registration. but no ReCaptcha.
Not sure about 1/2 stars. do you mean half value like 0.5, 1.5? we have ratings on our demo and please have a look if it’s what you look for. it can be displayed with numerical. as you may know you need to have a review addon. please have a look at addons link on this comment.

You may need to have a look at our demo sites with your detail plans. As you see, you can filter by location, categories, amenities and etc.. Your ‘home type’ can be categories.
1,000 listings might be little much. you should use load more button after you display less. as you said 30 listings first and load more button.
there is block shortcodes you can add and display listings. http://javothemes.com/spot/documentation/shortcode-blocks/Google API key is for google maps. it doesn’t matter with multiple places. however you can’t display (or have) multiple locations on a single page. Each listings are based on each locations.
