I applied my website with Showcase Palette Demo. But when I open a post, the slider and 9 highlighted posts below the slider are still displayed.

Yes, of course, you can use any style for your home page. The home page is flexible, you can add / remove widgets and customize them to any style.
The layout of home page is UNLIMITED. We don’t fix or force hard code any where.
