We are having js based logic written there to handle that state. You can store user’s choice into localstorage and then read it in the logic to apply the same.

When is the next update? I just tested the existing BS4 horizontal and see that in the tablet/mobile mode the menu goes behind the text and the links are unclickable.

More requests: how about a product record page? I mean a page with picture and product info/data; and how about gallery page? Pictures with some infos. Sorry for all these requestes…maybe your development plan doesn’t include so many features for a Simpleadmin template…but it would be great to get these improvements.
