Option 1) Can the Sticky Menu be disabled on mobile resolutions with some CSS code ? Option 2) Also noticed that the “To Top” button triggers when you scroll back up; Can this behaviour be done also for the Sticky Menu (stays hidden until a scroll back up happens)

Hi liquidzine,

I answered your ticket about this at the Support Center. Please respond to that ticket or create a new ticket if you have any other questions about the theme. Thanks!

Hello when we see the demo on mobile can we add post date, author name and Sharing button for each post on mobile same as we have on desktop ? I like your theme very much .Great work.

Hi spymak,

I’m not exactly sure what you mean since all of that information is also available on the mobile version of the theme as well.

I mean On the home page, where all the posts are listed with only post name.I want Post date, author name and Sharing icon in mobile view as well, same as we have in desktop view.

Hi spymak,

Unfortunately that is not a feature of the theme and while I do offer to perform small custom changes, this would require more than just a short fix. So it is something you would have to modify on your own or get a third party to help you with since I am unable to provide this level of customization to all of my customers. Sorry for any inconvenience.

how i can use the leaderboard with a personal banner?

Hi Zehsar,

Please submit a ticket at the Support Center and I can help you with this.

I’m going to safely assume most blogs have an SEO plugin, which then also already has all the og (open graph) information in the <head> along with twitter:cards etc.

My previous theme had a theme option to turn og off. At the same time I’m not sure if it even needs to be added to a theme. Again, already filled out in the SEO plugin.

Right now, me, and I’m sure all the other buyers now have duplicate og in our <head> file.

Do we delete this information from our SEO settings, or…?

Hi Dizenjo,

The theme should be SEO ready out of the box, which is why it comes with OG tags. If you would like to remove these tags, please submit a ticket at the Support Center and I’ll look into this for you.

Okay, will submit a ticket.

Hi,

1. does this theme have visual composer? If not then what builder is used to build the pages.

2. can we create regular website pages, not blog posts? Like, services and about us? The kind that does not look like blog posts.

Thanks

Hi seseskiz,

1) This theme does not come with Visual Composer. It uses the default WordPress page function.

2) Yes, pages are still available in this theme, as shown here in the full-width page option: http://mvpthemes.com/clickmag/full-width-page/

A tablet in portrait view should have single posts go 100% and not have the sidebar still showing up next to the content.

Most people I talk to use their tablets in portrait unless watching video.

Hi Dizenjo,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will consider that in a future update.

PRE-SALE QUESTION Dear MVP, Clickmag is a great theme and I really like to buy it but I have some questions about SEO, SPEED and CUSTOMIZATION. 1) What about seo optimization of the theme? I noticed that in the article the logo is H2 such as the related post title and the description of the article. Actually this is not a good optimization: could we solve this problem and change the h2 logo in h3 ONLY for post and not for home? 2) What about SPEED of the theme? I made a check on google dv tool and the score is really bad on mobile, ‘coz of js and css placed abf. How could we solve it? 3) In the post article there is the left related column: is it possible to delete it and to make the post larger?

Hope to hear about you,

Best,

B.

Hi bendopoli,

1) In articles, the logo is made an H2 because the title of the article is the H1, which is actually best practice SEO. So, I’m not sure what you are asking here.

2) I would not rely on mobile tests for sites since nearly every site on the net will score very poorly on mobile tests, including major sites.

Hi MVP,

1) Each article MUST have ONLY one H1 (title) and one H2 (meta description). So, if the logo is in H2, then you have a duplicate H2, that is so bad for serp. So, I’d like to know if it’s possible to change the site title tag in H3 ONLY in post article and let it in H1 in home page.

2) It’s too poor (about 22) and I don’t understand if it’s a problem of your demo site or a problem of theme click mag.

Eventually, if I buy it and I discover that it performs bad also on my site/server, is it possible to have money back?

Best and many thanks for your support.

Hi bendopoli,

1) Each article only has one H1, as does each page of the theme. But there are no limitations on H2 tags. H2 tags are also not specifically designated for meta descriptions. They can be used for any purpose. Changing the title of the post to H3 on articles is not only not recommended, but it is something you would need to modify on your own.

2) I would recommend testing other sites as well for comparison. For example, Facebook scores a 49, and CNN and Pinterest score a 56. I am always committed to improving the speed of each of my themes, and will continue to update the theme with fixes to improve performance. But my only point is to make sure not to put too much weight in the actual score and focus on the actual speed of the site.

Refunds are not available if the theme does not perform well on your server, but I will certainly work with you to try and make sure nothing in the theme is contributing toward poor performance. Thus far, several hundred customers have purchased the theme, and as evidenced by the 5-star rating, the vast majority have been more than pleased with the function and performance of the theme, though.

I am not able to find latest version of theia post slider in the update file

Hi sagar112,

I believe the version number on the plugin was just not updated, but I believe it actually is version 1.13.0. The updated version will be included in the next theme update, though.

Does the menu have column support? like this ; http://routewp.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/mega-menu.png

Hi asortik,

While this theme does have a Megamenu feature, that specific Megamenu is not available in this theme.

Hey – nice theme! does this theme work with the Polylang translation plugin?

Hi NathanSchacherer,

Unfortunately, I have not tested the theme with that plugin, so I cannot guarantee that it is 100% compatible.

Pre-sale questions on what can be controlled per post. I’m very comfortable with CSS and html, but need to know what requires php as I have very little knowledge in this area.

1) Meta? I saw some previous posts asking about hiding the author and you mentioned there is no theme setting? I’m assuming my test on the demo of using display: none, then removing the authors 60px image margin to bump the date over to the left is fine?

2) Can the featured image be controlled per post? Sometimes I lead with the title and a paragraph before I insert a main image. The fix of not having a featured image does’;t work as you now have a blank image in the category and search sections. Not sure if you have experience with this plug-in working with your themes as an alternative? https://wordpress.org/plugins/hide-featured-image/

3) Can the author at the bottom of the post be turned on / off in a theme setting?

4) Can the “you may also like” at the bottom of the post be turned on / off in a theme setting?

5) Can the “more in…” at the bottom of the post be turned on / off in a theme setting?

P.S. After learning CSS and html, I like the thinking of your themes where visual options are less controlled. Too easy to change the CSS than have all that extra bloated code controlling such simple elements.

I’m happy to help!

How do individual posts titles appear / look with featured image hidden? E.g. I would mainly use the full-width post layout, with no sidebars, and all content centered?

Hi Dizenjo,

The content would look the same as it does in the demo, but just without the Featured Image. All of the content would move up to replace where the image was. I don’t have a demo for what this looks like, though.

PRE-SALES QUESTIONS:

Love this theme. A few questions.

1. The footer seems very plain. Are there widget locations for the footer, at least 3-4?

2. Is there an option to remove the photo/video/etc icons from thumbnails?

3. Are there styles for a contact form?

4. Is there a blog archive template, where posts can be listed with a large featured image, and the titles and text underneath?

5. What other features do you have planned?

Thanks.

Hi azizpbrimah,

1) There is no widgetized footer in this theme.

2) I can give you some code to remove the icons.

3) The theme does not come with a contact form, so that is something that will need to be added with a plugin.

4) Unfortunately, that is not a feature of the theme.

5) I don’t have a list of features that will definitely be added, but I am looking to add at least one more Featured Posts layout.

You’re very welcome!

any theme layout changes in upcoming days ?

Hi manjots13,

I don’t have any layout changes planned in the ear future, but I may add another Featured Posts layout soon.

Hello, I wanted to take a doubt before buying, so I could see the related posts are made by tags, how would I change to randon or by categories?

Do you have another question? Can I get the date and the author of the publication?

Would you have another theme that has the function of continue reading button?

Hi maironassuncao,

The Related Posts are displayed by Tags, but if you use similar Tags within the category, the posts will be similar to the same category anyway. Also, there is a “More Posts” section below the posts that displays posts within the same category as the post.

I’m not sure what you mean by your second question, the date and author is displayed on each post page.

This is the only theme with the Continue Reading function.

I want something simple: I want full width article container, in case I choose “full width post” format. I noticed its possible for page: http://mvpthemes.com/clickmag/full-width-page/ ; But for http://mvpthemes.com/clickmag/kendall-jenner-did-a-ballet-shoot-for-vogue-and-people-are-outraged/ (full width post) is not ; Hope you can give a CSS fix. I’m tired of your answers: “not possible, you have to do it yourself”.

And few more thing: 1) I understand that “Related Posts” shows posts with same tag. Did a test, and applied same tag to 100 posts. It always shows same 4 posts ! it should rotate/randomize among posts with same tag. Same things happens with “More from…”, that displays post by category – shows the same 4 post always from that specific category. Make this a priority for next update, otherwise those features are useless. Now seriously, who wants to same same posts over and over again ? No wonder, people bounce off my website.

Hi i have some Pre sales Questions

1) Can we put featured image after the post title in post ?

2) Can we resize thumbnail image in layout ?

3) Can we add more social icons near search icon after the manu ?

4) Can we disable hamburger menu for non-mobile devices ?

5) Can we put ” Last Updated On” instead of “Published On” in post ?

6) Can we put share via sms options in mobile devices ?

Hi spymak,

1) I’m not exactly sure what you are asking here, but you can insert as many images as you want into the body of the post in addition to the Featured Image that you see in the demo.

2) Unfortunately, the thumbnail sizes are set, so you would need to modify those on your own by edit the theme code.

3) Unfortunately, only Facebook and Twitter are available on the menu bar, but the remaining social media sites are located in the flyout menu.

4) Yes, I can give you some code to remove that on desktop.

5) You can change that text to whatever you’d like, either through the translation files in the theme file itself.

6) That is not a feature of the theme, but I will look into that for a future update.

  • can we hide left small grids on post page
  • . can we hide left floating menu and use that thee lines space near logo in widening logo .

  • . contributer widget shows us who contributed most ? is it based on time ?
  • . can we change menubar color ?
  • . Post Page – can we enable comments rather only by clicking on comment than only show ?
  • . post view count is not there ?
  • . after post content like grids . is it possible ?
  • . make post page like flexmag infinite scroll ?

these all are my queries hope to get good feasible answer

Hi manjots13,

1) If you are referring to the 4 Related Posts on the left, yes you can hide those.

2) I can give you some code to hide the hamburger menu, but as far as widening the logo area, that is something you would need to modify on your own.

3) I have not tested that plugin with the theme, so I cannot guarantee it is 100% compatible.

4) Unfortunately, that is something you would need to modify on your own.

5) The contributors with the most posts will be featured.

6) Yes, you can easily change the nav menu background color and text from within the Theme Options.

7) I’m not sure what you are asking here, but I can give you some code if you would like the comments to display instead of having to click the comment button.

8 ) The post view count is not displayed anywhere on the site, but it is used with the Popular Posts feature.

9) I am not sure what you mean by “after post content like grids . is it possible ?”

10) Unfortunately, the Auto Load Posts feature will not be available in this theme due to plugin conflicts that come with the this theme that are not available in Flex Mag.

How do I get articles thumbnails and titles to show in the left sidebar on posts?

Hi absimp,

Please submit a ticket at the Support Center and I can help you with this.

I installed the theme, but no widgets show up in the right sidebar. No search, no recent posts etc. Also I added the ad widget and that didnt show up either.

Any help?
