When will the next stack update
hi,I bought a stack and the pivot, can connect together?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing!
No – the templates can’t be merged together as they both use separate CSS – things would get messy if you merged the CSS for both.
The next Stack update will be out later this week / early next week.
Eagerly awaiting the WordPress version
We’re still working hard with out partner TommusRhodus to ensure that Stack + Variant WP is killer
We apologise for the delay.
If its killer I shall wait patiently
Please how can i put top bar and main menu. I cant do it. And i need to put sticky main menu. Im using variant builder html
like home-landing-1.html (sticky) and home-landing-2.html (top bar and main menu). and i need to put two footer like (home-landing-1.html) in variant builder. How can i do all please?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing!
The sticky bar can be done once you’ve exported your page from the builder – there is a demonstration of how to do this on this page: http://trystack.mediumra.re/elements-navigation.html under the heading ‘Sticky Bars’
Thanks, Craig
Hi there,
This would require you to do your own HTML and CSS to achieve this layout – there is nothing built-in to Stack that looks just like this, so it would require custom code to do.
Thanks, Craig
Any word when the Wordpress version will be out?
Hi there,
In the next 2 weeks – you can subscribe here to be notified: https://confirmsubscription.com/h/d/65D2C10E3B0ED96E

Hi Craig- Just playing around with Variant builder while I wait for WordPress version. In the builder, are you not able to make a mega menu like you have, with photos, etc? I love the way that looks. If you can’t, no worries. Will WordPress version have that feature?
Hi there,
Correct – the mega menu with the photo dropdowns is slightly beyond the capability of Variant – though you can definitely manage this menu in plain HTML (instructions in docs). This will be editable in WordPress naturally
Thanks, Craig
Hi, unfortunately there seems to be a bug with your navigation. Between widths 767px to 1023px sub-menus aren’t working and are displayed incorrectly.
In my project the sub-menus aren’t working at all at this range (displayed somewhere left outside the window).
Can you help and fix please?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing Stack!
At this breakpoint the menu stacks up, leaving the dropdowns to open vertically. Is this not the behaviour you’re seeing? You can open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com to discuss further.
Thanks, Craig
Hey, responsive (mobile) menu is HARD BAD. Please two or three options add for this theme.
I think, like materialize responsive menu is good for it. (http://materializecss.com/)
Thanks!
Hi there,
The mobile menu stacks like any conventional menu – depending on the complexity of your dropdowns, this is always going to affect ux on mobile – if you’re attempting to show many many dropdown options on a mobile – things can get tricky. This is why it’s best for you to make the decision about what is relevant for your users on a mobile screen – this way you’re not simply cramming the desktop experience to a mobile – we show all menu options on mobile as a matter of ensuring that customers can see everything the template has to offer.
Thanks, Craig
Is it possible to make the dropdown slim and wide expand when mousing over instead of having to click?
Thanks for purchasing!
Yes, this is explained in both the documentation and demonstrated here: http://trystack.mediumra.re/elements-dropdowns.html
Cheers, Craig
Awesome, thanks!
No worries
After uploading the HTML files and the site is live on your hosting account are you able to make additional changes using the variant page builder or is that only possible before the HTML is exported?
Hi there,
If you export your page as a .variant file – you can reimport it to the builder later to tweak, then you’d need to export the HTML again and upload.
Cheers, Craig
Hi, do you provide PSD / AI graphic files if needed? Thanks
Hi there,
No – Stack was created in Sketch, so there are no PSD and AI files.
Thanks, Craig
Hello, a really great work ….. I have a question, can i insert texts with drag and drop (variant Builder) Thanks. Regards
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing!
You can’t drag and drop elements into the blocks, no – at this stage you can only clone what is already inside a block.
Cheers, Craig
Hi, I have a couple of questions before purchasing that I’d like to sort out.
First, there was a new element introduced a week or so ago, a box that pop up from the side, bottom or top of the page when someone click on a button, I can’t find it in the live demo builder, where is it?
About the contact forms, there are too few of them and most lack the phone camp. it’s there a way I can added myself?
Hi there,
1. Notification functionality needs to be added once your exported your page from the builder – you don’t build them inside the builder environment.
2. Yes – you can easily add a phone input – we’ve also got correct validation for phone numbers as well using the <input type=”text” class=”validate-numbers-dash”>
Cheers, Craig
Just wondering what I can get rid of from inside the template package once I export my html files and want to upload them to my server? (I’ve been using variant locally to develop my site.) I’ll make a copy to upload so I don’t lose the package itself locally, but as far as what needs uploading, do I just dump all the pre-existing html files from the root, plus everything in the variant folder/s?
Hi there,
You won’t need to add ever HTML file that comes with the template – just the ones relevant to your site. Ditto the images – just delete any image that isn’t in use on your site so you’re not uploading unnecessary files. In the long run – if your page is not using these assets they will never be loaded anyway so it’s not the end of the world – just neater to preen the files beforehand.
Cheers, Craig
Hey!! actually I was building a webpage using the gradient CTA and extracted the file from variant but it doesn’t show the gradient, all the files and everything are there. What to do ?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing Stack!
Would you mind opening a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com with a link to your site? That way I can inspect it first-hand to diagnose the issue.
Thanks, Craig
Hi Guys, I know I have asked about it already a couple of time, but there’s no hope in fixing the column resizing bug about galleries and features? It would be very important foor my website I’m building, I hope you can do something about it. If you think it is not possible please inform me and I will find a different way. thanks
Hi there,
At this stage you need to adjust the column sizes once you export your page from Variant, the template uses Bootstrap for the grid http://trystack.mediumra.re/elements-grid.html
Cheers, Craig
Hi there folks,
We’ve just updated Stack to v 1.2.2 this update includes some fantastic customer-suggested improvements as well as some new content updates including:
- A new simple personal home layout (http://trystack.mediumra.re/home-portfolio-personal-1.html) - Search results page (http://trystack.mediumra.re/page-utility-search-results.html) - New contact form block, tabs block and a new cover with form
As well as some bug fixes and other improvements – you’ll find a full breakdown in the changelog in the item download and also on the item preview page.
Thanks again for all your excellent feedback and for making Stack Themeforest’s Best New Selling Template of 2017, keep the suggestions coming!
Cheers,
Medium Rare
It’s a shame that we loose the @nav-logo-size, @navbar-height and @nav-item-font-size LESS variables VS the Pillar theme!
Hi there Isaac,
Thanks for this feedback! We found most customers were preferring to use custom.css to make their adjustments to navigation but we can consider moving them back to variables.
Thanks, Craig
That would be awesome. I think one thing does not get in the way of the other. Probably some people miss this, if you highlight more this features on the documentation probably more make use of. Thanks Craig.
No worries, thanks again Isaac!
Hello medium_rare,
This is one of the most beautiful themes that I’ve ever seen, maybe this goes into my top 5 most favorite themes, and it’s also purchasable! I want to create a startup in few months, and this theme is perfect for it!
By the way, will you guys consider to create a simple admin template with this style? Just a suggestion because I don’t believe there is any purchasable admin theme out there that has a similar style. At the very least you will have 1 potential buyer
.
Good luck for this theme!
Hi there,
Thanks for the compliment!
We don’t have any immediate plans for an admin template for Stack – though we will continue adding more rich-features to the template such as better form input options etc.
Thanks again, Craig
Hello,
I’m using the sidebar menu how can I close it if I click somewhere on the area outside the menu to get it closed instead of clicking on the closure button / icon?
Hi there,
Currently the menu can only be closed by the cross, or if you click on an ‘inner-link’ inside the side menu.
We can add this as an option in a future update.
Thanks, Craig
Hi! I think there’s a bug in the “masonry-filter-container” or btw it does’t work always good. I’m in the blog page blog-articles-cards.html and I change the option from the dropdown ‘MARKETING’. Then I go to another page of the website and when I go back that dropdown doesn’t work anymore. It doesn’t filter the masonry items. It happen sometimes, not always. Could you check please?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing!
The masonry filter won’t be on the same filter when you come back if you navigate away from the page – is this the behaviour you’re expecting to see?
Given that this is HTML, there is no cookies or data dictating which filter should be active when you visit the page – the default ‘All Categories’ filter will be active.
I tested on all browsers to see if I could find a case where the masonry filters didn’t work at all when the page loaded but it worked fine for me in all cases.
If you wouldn’t mind – we can discuss in greater depth on our support forum at mediumrare.ticksy.com
Thanks,
Craig
