Hi, theme looks great but I don’t like the fact that you need to click on item menu at header. Do you guys provide solution to just show submenus when you hover over menu item?

Was playing around with the builder, how do you add custom fields for forms? And if you were to clone a field and change the label, will the fieldname change as well or will there be a duplicate field?
Also can we edit custom.css from the bulder so that everything is kept within the variant project file?
Hello, thanks for your enquiry. Currently, neither form editing nor editing custom.css are possible within Variant. We have these two features on our roadmap however.

Also, I saw your comment to @westside’s question about the admin theme. I would love you guys to develop a dedicated Variant theme for admin, rather than just bolting things on to exiting themes.

When i add any block from the Gallery section it’s just blank. Nothing shows up. Same problem with Cards blocks. All others seem to be okay

Hi Craig. I’ve tried both chrome and firefox doesn’t show up. Also changes i make to the footer don’t stay saved.
Now when i try to change images the whole image modal is just a blank blue screen. Also when i save to export not all changes are saved. Also now the template is only $10 we paid $19 just a few days ago
Images I have put into the image folder, don’t show up when i search for images to add to the design.

It was purchased on our business account. So the issues I was having were fixed with the last update.. thanks, but now all the image paths i had linked to all my pages are broken/gone and I can’t figure out how to have them show up again
I found a solution to the image issue.. However now I have a much bigger problem. Now my work keeps getting overwritten and deleted! If i click different pages in builder it just copies the previous page I was on. I’ve just lost hours of work. Right now the builder isn’t usable in the current version

Thanks. Well I changed to chrome incognito and it hasn’t happened since. So I don’t really have anything new to report
You should try exporting all data to a .variant file, then clear your local storage (click the cog in Variant, then “delete all”) then re-import your backed up data. If the incognito tab worked, it might be because corrupt data in local storage. Clearing it and starting fresh could help with your issue.

Hi, I have a question regarding the Portfolio Titles Inside 2 columns layout. When we build our website the subtitles (categories) of the portfolio items were white. I went to the website today and saw they had a dark color: #101213; and I can’t fix it with some CSS because this rule seems to override everything I try. The CSS element is the following: [data-scrim-top]:not(.image-light) p, [data-scrim-top]:not(.image-light) span, [data-scrim-top]:not(.image—light) ul {color: #101213;} Do you maybe know how I can get this back to white? Hello James, I uploaded all html files and all folders under stack 1.3.3 (except for the variant folder) to the servr, as you said. When I visit my site, the following message appeared: “Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access on this server.” Then, I tried something differently and uploaded the html files under the publication folder /www however, this gave the same results. Any other suggestions how I can resolve this? Thanks. Best regards, WVDB
Hi there,
It sounds like you haven’t set the permissions of the files correctly when you uploaded – ensure that you set all the files to have read access when you upload them. The process for setting the permissions can be slightly different depending on which FTP client you’re using – you’ll need to double check this.

Hi, yes if your booking system allows you to embed via an iframe, you can simply insert an iframe in your desired page and set the source of the iframe to be the URL of your booking page.
This cannot be done inside Variant, so you will need to do this in your HTML file when you have exported from Variant.

Dear Sir, I finished the design of my site with stack. How do I get my site online ? When I export, I have 2 options: .html or .variant When I select .html a zip is created with all html files, however, the pictures, the header and footer are not depicted. Is there supposed to be an index page? When I select .variant a variant file is created. Am I supposed to upload the html and variant file with filezilla ftp client to the server? It’s a pity you don’t have documentation with instructions on what exactly needs to be uploaded and index pages, settings, etc. to get the site alive. Thanks for your support. Best regards, WVDB
Hi,
When you are ready to upload your site, export to html files and upload those to your site. The reason you are not seeing your pages as intended is that you need to also upload the folders containing the css, js, images etc.
All folders except the variant folder should be uploaded to your hosting server.

the builder is cool, but, its very Exhausting work local, drag pictures, import pictures, the when you finished, upload all to server… i think as you can change this, make more friendly, using a ftp publisher or allowing work directly online allowing upload pictures…. You create an awesome theme and tool…you can solve this.. i bough all themes, but the builder woulbe amazing.

We’re aware that an FTP publishing facility would be ideal, though we’re grappling with the ability to use the builder offline and server-free also. We’re hoping to add the FTP as an additional feature in-future so you won’t need to upload all the files to your FTP manually.

Currently no, this isn’t yet possible inside the builder, it is a feature we’re looking to add – in its first incarnation you’ll be able to edit the HTML of a block directly, essentially allowing you to completely change the blocks markup to your own.
