You can easy add a new .css file adding all the changes. Ex.
I Make a customcode.css file with all the edits I want, then in the file stylesheet.css, add a new line importing the new css file like
/* My customs modification on CSS */
@import url("customcode.css");

What’s the best way to override css? Main thing I want to do now is just change the header height to remove the crazy amount of margin around the logo. I see how to do that through common.css, but then if you update I’ll need to remember to re-edit it.

That’s a great question It’s technically possible but would require you to run and maintain 2 separate versions of the Milk Theme.

Re: Background, this is possible but requires manual code edits to colours.css stylesheet. We’re going to roll out a feature to add this through flightdeck in the near future.

Yep, phpBB supports URL BBCodes in the following format:
[url=http://themeforest.net]Your link text[/url]
To make subforums show on the index page, you need to change 2 settings. On the parent forum, click settings, then enable ‘show subforums in legend’ .
Then on each child subforum, in settings, set ‘show subforum in parent legend’ to ‘Yes’ .

I really do like this Style – was pretty easy to install (tweak), would like to see (2) things down the road.. #1 to be able to sort users by webpage, this helps track and remove spammers, they tend to always add a web-page (URL) to help their google rank… (these are the guys that register but don’t post) Just to get their URL on the forum. And #2 an Option to add a Small and Large Logo/Header Image, I Personally like to use a full page logo/Header But it does not look good in Mobile size. I liked the Style so much, that I re-designed my entire website to match the colors of the style. Best St0ney (stoneykins.com)

We’ll consider different header sizes and the best way to implement that.
As for the other suggestion, that isn’t something we could implement into a front-end visual style, but would definitely suggest raising it over on phpBB.com as an extension request

Hello, I have applied April update to my forum and wanted to switch to the dark background but when I do the text in the post body does not show up. Can you advise on what I need to do to fix this please? All other text shows up fine but I can not see the text in actual body of posts. I’m using phpbb 3.2, thank you! In the ‘customise’ tab, click ‘details’ next to Milk and ensure that ‘inherits from’ is set to ‘Prosilver’.

I want to change the icons marking the forums read/unread/locked.
So I did up an icon in svg and png to replace the ones in the theme, and uploaded them to overwrite the existing ones via Cpanel.
However, it’s not reflecting the new icon. Are there anymore changes I should make for the new icon to kick into effect?

Regrettably due to the complexity of the Milk Theme it’s not currently possible to limit them to the index page only.
Regarding Ads, your best option would be to use an extension. Here’s one I’d recommend trying (untested on Milk, but should work): https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2356806

1- I’m having big trouble with the header image for my forum. I have tried different image sizes, but I can’t get it fitting right into the header space. And the result is always different depending on the device you use; if it seems ok on the pc it doesn’t on the tablet or smartphone, and vice-versa.
2- Options for the Header are “Logo Only”, “Sitename and Description Only”, or “Both”, bu there is no a “None” option. I would like to use an image with my logo already on it.
3- And if that’s not possible, any chance to show a custom text other than the sitename and description? What about changing font size or making it bold or underlined?

1 – Such is the nature of fluid / responsive design, proportions shift between devices meaning that making the header background appear consistent between devices is tricky. I would recommend either using a repeating background image, or using a background image that doesn’t need to be aligned perfectly and enabling the ‘stretch’ setting in flightdeck. This should make the responsive scale changes a bit more graceful.
2 – Good shout! We’ll add this to the backlog for a future release. In the meantime if you can open a ticket with us (our ticket system is back online), we can help out with step by step instructions to help you achieve this.

I’m definitely interested in it, but I have one question. And I’m sure you’re busy doing epic theme-creating stuff, so I’m sorry to take a moment of your time.
Here’s my question, besides heading over to quick links and selecting the search option that takes you to an advanced search, is there a search bar that we are able to put on the home page or a pop up search button?
I’m sure if it’s not already there, it’s in the works. But I need to convince my partner that you’re theme is the way to go!

Thanks for your message and interest in the Milk Theme
At the moment there isn’t a search bar added into the theme. We have plans in one of the next updates to add a search bar to either the header and/or sidebar, but it’s something that we need to be careful with – search bars can easily ruin the clean visual appearance, and also we need to do a lot of testing to ensure its presence doesn’t break our responsive layout or interfere with any of the other configurable options.
So to confirm it will be coming at some point in the near(ish) future, but can’t make any guarantees as to when

Can I ask how you updated the flightdeck extension to the most recent version? The new version adds additional information to the database, so it is necessary to completely uninstall the extention, then re-install.

Hello there, nice theme. Before buying I would like to know: Do you have more screenshots or demo of the new dark styles? If using dark styles, can you make the background of the body a little transparent so the background image is seen a little? i.e. behind the text and body.

There aren’t any additional demos of the dark theme at the moment unfortunately. Transparency wouldn’t be impossible, but would take quite a while to implement and not something we could assist with for free
