First off thank you for developing such a great them, it has been a pleasure to work with.
In the Header Settings I have the Header Slideshow option enabled (showing blue), but when I click the “Add/Edit Gallery” button nothing happens. I have even clicked the “Clear Gallery” button a few times, but I still can’t add images. Do I need to configure any other settings to be able to add images to the header slideshow?

does it worked before, or did you just installed the theme and it does not work? Try to increase your PHP memory to 128MB. If that won’t work then send me your wp-admin credentials via PM and I will take a look at it.

here is the code to deactivate the default events functionality (in case you want to use a 3rd party plugin for events). Put the code into to your child theme’s function.php:

I understand. Yes that shouldn’t happen. Have you added the excerpt manually via excerpt field, or have you left the field blank? Unfortunately, I am off computer until Tuesday afternoon, so I am not really able to provide more technical help with that until then. But I do believe there must be a way to make it work.

If you don’t want to wait and don’t mind changing the code a little bit, the you can do it yourself like this: open wp-content/plugins/lsvr-toolkit-townpress/shortcodes/articles.php file, go to line 196 and change “get_the_excerpt” to “get_the_content”. But I do recommend to wait for an official update.

you should always use a plugin like Wordfence to secure your site. Check out this official guide from WordPress on what to do if your site was hacked.
Please note that this is very unlikely caused by the theme. Of course, if you have an evidence about any security bug in TownPress, do let me know and I will deal with it asap.

I am pretty sure it was infected with malware indeed, based on your first measage, the question is how. Of course, if you find any security issues in the theme, please let me know.
Ad social links in header: I am sorry but that’s not possible without some non trivial code customization. You will have to change PHP files and create some CSS to make it look good. Changes like these are not covered by the support unfortunately, so your best bet is to hire a freelancer for the job.
Why loco does not translate anything at all?

I would like the default setting for breadcrumbs to be disabled rather than enabled. Is this possible? If so how?

that’s not possible without changing the code and you will lost that change after the theme update so I don’t really recommend doing it. However, it is up to you of course. Edit includes/redux/meta-config.php file on line 120. Change “1” to “0”.
If you would rather hide the breadcrumbs globally, use this Custom CSS instead:

Ok, I did some googling and I assume you are getting it under Appearance / Customize, but the recommended way to customize this theme is via Theme Options.
I found the problem was in permalinks when I changed the site url to my domain When I changed back to the WP address everything was fine And when I view the site www.littlecalriverbasin.org the icons are missing, but there if I view from the WP url

Ad missing icons: that’s because of your server config. There are multiple articles on how to fix it by editing your .htaccess file, check out this for example.
When publishing notices, is there a way to set it to expire at a specific date/time? How about events? Can upcoming events auto post and self-delete after the event occurs? Thanks

Hi, I have a weird behaviour of townprss: each time i change a page the menu is gone. With erasing the page the menu comes back. When I set up a page without making a change after piblishing – everything is fine, till I edit something on that page. As an example: www.gschmui.de go to Gemeinde and Immelstetten.. Looking for information on how to update the child theme for my site using Townpress without breaking the child theme.
I have a widget category in a custom sidebar that will not save. It saves all categories (thus show all documents now instead of the selected category). I want to take care of this without loosing child theme settings. Thank you, Sandra

you mean how to update the parent theme. There is no reason to update the child theme.
Easiest way is to use Envato Market plugin. Or you can just download latest version of the theme from your Downloads and overwrite it via FTP.

We love this theme! I’m working on layout now, but my Client likes to use Bullet Lists in Wordpress. Unfortunately, this Theme includes the common problem of text wrapping around onto a new line (hanging text) whenever you incorporate a Bullet list (you only notice it when text is long and runs over 1 line). It’s really unattractive but I can’t find out how to stop it in TownPress (other than using much larger Tables instead). The issue apparently rates to a setting of “list-style-position: inside” and it should be set to “list-style-position: outside” but I can’t seem to find this or figure out how to correct the layout problem. Any ideas?

As you can see, the Bullet lists align awkwardly whenever an Item exeeds one line in length, rather than being neatly aligned as Bullet and Description. It’s a common Wordpress problem, but given how attractive TownPress is, it’s a shame to see it in your Theme (and the Client likes to use them!). Best, Anna
You can try this Custom CSS (place it under Theme Options / Custom CSS or into your child theme’s style.css):
li { list-style-position: outside; }
This will put those bullets outside of the content area, which is not ideal. It can be fixed by this additional CSS:
ul { padding-left: 20px; }
However, this one can affect some other site elements as well. So once you insert it, check out your site if there is not any unusual left indent where it shouldn’t be.

This is the url: http://www.luddington.org/events/The page title for the list of events page shows as the first event. No t sure why.
The same happens in the Galleries, it shows the first Gallery as the page name for the list page: http://www.luddington.org/galleries/Not sure why. I think it did work before the last update.
