After downloading the Barcelona theme, I discovered that the demo refused to display on the site. I tried to select Home II to make my customization process easier but it has refused to show and it doesn’t look like the theme.
Even after installing the demo file, it still looks nothing like the barcelona Home II theme.

Because now, when you are not using the main menu (only the top menu is active) and open the site on a mobile device, there is no menu that you can click on.

If you mean to add excerpt under the post title, this can be enabled from “Posts Meta Data” option in the category edit screen or page builder settings.

I mean to add a field called “Subtitle” which would display directly below the title on posts. For example, the subtitle appears in gray below the black title on this post: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/in-this-years-nba-finals-the-reigning-champions-are-the-underdogs/
In Theme Options > Layout Settings > Single Post, you could add an on/off button to “Display Subtitle”.

Barcelona does not have a subtitle field that I know of, so I’m not sure what you would make visible. About a year ago you mentioned that “the theme has no option to add a sub headline for the single posts – we are going to add this feature in the upcoming update”: https://themeforest.net/comments/13286667

Yes, there is no option to add subtitle with using theme options. If you raise a support ticket, i’ll send the instructions to do that.

Hi, I’m working for a client. i need to display Gif as thumbnail , it is working fine but when displayed in category row along with other posts , gif dimension is lesser than the other posts image. If i resize the gif, it no longer work as gif at thumbnail

The theme is not compatible with gif images in post thumbnails. Since, the image is being cropped in some type of post modules, the gif image won’t be animated.
