Hi there,
You need to ensure that the Instagram account you’re attempting to show, is the same account where you’ve set up a Client ID and Access Token – you can’t show another account’s images if you’re using the Client ID and Access Token from a different account.

hi medium_rare, I’m loading body content from this theme with Ajax, which method do I need t callback to init thing like the slider and background images? The content loads fine if i refresh after the AJAX call. I have tried triggering document.ready but that didnt really work. thanks
Hi, you should use this in javascript after the body content has loaded in:
mr.documentReady(mr.setContext()); mr.windowLoad(mr.setContext());
That will run all the init functions on the page again.

Is there a way to create popups or modals and add it to a page – and show on load or on click ?
Yes, please see the modals and notifications pages, elements-modals.html and elements-notifications.html . There are many options for auto showing, and exit modals. These need to be arranged outside Variant (after you have exported the page), as Variant does not yet support modal editing.

Where does the variant builder store the details of the pages created ? Is it stored in the local storage – which means if I copy my folder to another machine, my pages wont get carried over ?
Correct, it uses local storage so to move to another machine, make sure you export your pages as .variant files for the transfer.

Is there a way to clone a page ? Sometimes we would like to create a few pages, which are almost similar but different in certain aspects.
Hi, if you are referring to Variant, this can be achieved by using “Save Page As”. When you do that, you will be working in your new, cloned page and your old one will be left as it was before the clone was made.

Hi, I’m using Safari, and the building won’t open anymore (locally). It is stuck on the Variant loading screen (wheel rotating) It’s quite a problem, since all my saved work is stored there. Any way to fix this? It does work when I open it through Firefox.
Hi, Please make sure you have cookies and local storage enabled in your browser. You can check this setting in the menu at Safari > Preferences > Privacy. Make sure you are allowing those options.

Hi James, thanks for the reply. This did not solve the problem, but it has become obvious that it is not the builder that is at fault. I notice that Safari has more issues since I last updated my mac. So I will take my losses and start over in Firefox

OK, good call. Safari also has limitations that prevent the output of html files. Firefox is a better option.

I’m very interested in buying your template, but would have answered some questions before please:
Are the same files of your blank html template also in your Wordpress theme included? Because of performance we may do coding a CMS at our own in future. For the beginning we are also considering in starting with your Wordpress Theme or mixed (some Html and some Wordpress sites), is that possible at all? Or do we need to order twice?
Then unfortunately i found some bugs in your template, can you give me a rough estimation about wether or when you are going to fix those, please?
I’m talking about a ugly scroll sidebar in your modals with firefox, even if there is no scroll content or oversize (proof: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c1n40uj9fpf2vjg/Capture.PNG?dl=0). Then, especially in mobile safari (ios), i’m getting at some pages into a horizontal site scrolling, that makes the usability very bad (proof: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yeq7h27o4gdgko8/Photo%2026.05.17%2C%2020%2016%2037.png?dl=0) and when tapping an input form (also in ios safari) the page view gets broken, because the view is zoomed in (proof: https://www.dropbox.com/s/51rw0q8cce504cp/Photo%2026.05.17%2C%2020%2015%2007.png?dl=0).
From experience and other templates i know all small bugs / problems could be solved. But for staying save, i’m waiting to order until you going to fix it please!
I guess, making a good running and working theme is more important then new features!

Thanks for your feedback – we’ll look into these. As for mixing HTML and WP – you can purchase both and use them both on your domain if you prefer. Though, if you’re not using the CMS features, you might be better just sticking to one.

Is it possible to show the contents of a single page within a pop up modal and when it invoked the URL changes to show the page?
To get an idea of what I am talking about, please take a look at both Dribbble and Canopy.co
Click on a card and you will see what I mean, i.e. the modal pops up with the content and the URL changes accordingly.
Apologies if I am using the wrong terminology but I couldn’t think of a better way to describe it.
Also, is it possible for the map pins, when clicked, to do the same, i.e. invoke the same modal for the page?

I noticed that the footer options are not saved on variant builder. After goingo to another page (within the builder), qhen you come back the footer is as default, loosing the options previously set (as dark or light, etc.)
This also happens in the demo site you have

The behaviour you are seeing is intentional …apologies for the confusion.
I have explained on your ticket at http://mediumrare.ticksy.com/ . Just save the footer (and name it when prompted) by changing some text on the footer, then it will be available as a custom footer. Then apply that custom footer to your pages and they will all get updated whenever you change something in that footer.
This is done so you can quickly swap out footers while you try different “looks”, without being prompted to save each footer as you try it on. Changing the text is the indicator that you’ve chosen that footer and wish to keep it.
Hope this makes sense, and do please correct me if there’s something acting up.

When you save the footer, please then apply that saved footer to your page by selecting it from the list of footers. I’ll look into why this extra step is suddenly an issue.
