Thanks for making me aware of this. This will be fixed in the next update. 
I should add that videos cannot play in the background on mobile devices. In the next update a fallback image will be used instead.

Huber supports the video format and if you’re using a video plugin then this should still work when you switch themes. However I can’t really say much else as I’m not familiar with your set up.

In order to test if a plugin properly works with a theme can take a lot of time so this is not something I can do. However, since you’ve purchased the theme now you should be able to do this yourself.

I’ve purchased The Review and Gauge (which I’m currently running on my site) so I’m a little hesitant to purchase a third theme in less than a year…but…
1 – On hub pages, is that a sidebar on the right which will allow me to add ads and widgets? That’s how I have it set up now and would like to keep that.
2 – If some of my child pages are not theme defaults (I have several “checklist” pages), will they convert as well and can I set those to be defaults for new pages?
3 – Is there a prep that should be taken in order to convert or do I just install it and run the converter? I know going from Review to Gauge required me to delete the Review Plugin prior to installing the Gauge theme.
Thanks in advance for your answers. This looks like it has a lot of the functions I wished from your previous themes and not needing to set up all those extra pages will help a ton!

2) Yes. Custom child pages will be kept just as they are and still show up as tabs in your hubs. I’m not sure what you mean by setting them as defaults?
3) Install and run the converter. Here’s a screenshot of the converter page which explains what to do, before and after you run it.

As with most themes sold here we unfortunately do not provide the ability to test the theme before you purchase it. The main reason for this is a demo would be editable by all users and as a result some users would completely ruin the theme and the potential buyer would then get a completely skewed view of how the theme works. When a reliable theme demo plugin is available, there are plans to allow theme testing.

I’m already using a WP reviews theme for a reviews site I’m running but am looking to update the whole look as I need it to integrate with Woo Commerce (ideally). Does this theme play well with Woo or have in-built integration with that? If not are you planning for this in future? Looks so good, I’d love to use it! Thanks

You don’t need to make any code changes – WooCommerce will work completely. I just mean that WooCommerce hasn’t been styled to look like the theme, so the default plugin styling will be used.
Nope you don’t need to use BuddyPress, the theme comes with it’s own frontend login, registration and lost password windows.

Yes the theme works with Yoast SEO (I use it on the demo).
The theme already uses schema tags so I’m not sure if that plugin is necessary, but I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work.

You can change nearly all of the theme colours from the Theme Options page and for any you can’t you can CSS which I can certainly show you. All the header section is customisable for the Theme Options page.

1) Huber uses standard post categories – hub categories are not needed.
2) Categories are not highlighted but that can easily be done using CSS.
3) You cannot show affiliate buttons in categories.
4) Yes the theme supports category descriptions.

If you are already using Gauge or The Review themes you can use this theme without the worry of things not working. Huber comes with a theme converter that converts all your hub, reviews and child pages so everything looks pretty much like it did before. Please note hub awards are not currently supported.

Of course not! You translate the theme in exactly the same way to translate any theme or plugin. This is all explained in the help file here: http://ghostpool.com/help/huber/help.html#7
The key is move your translated files outside the theme so they are not overwritten when updating the theme (Loco Translate does this for you if you follow the help file). Then if any new strings have been added to the theme’s translation file you can sync them to your modified version so it only adds the new strings and doesn’t touch your modified ones.

Maybe the last issue. Do you plan for the future a mopage builder for user flexibiliy? Or do you plan pre-defined hompages? Or is this the final stage, now?
The theme already comes with both.
The theme comes with Visual Composer page builder to build homepages or any type of page. It also comes with 4 predefined homepages already which you can see in the demo.
Thank you for the information Your theme is great, I like it, except the home page settings, please do more improvements in this area, the visual composer is not working so well for this purpose, predefined drag and drop sections would be much better for the users. If you could do more predefined areas, styles, functions for the homepage, it would be very welcomed. Home page is the main cross and starting point for the returning readers. Thank you in advance.
Predefined drag and drop sections? I’m not even sure what this means. If a section is already predefined, why would there be an option to drag and drop anything into it? Do you have an example?

From what I can tell the theme just has a page builder that allows you to create custom pages, including homepages. This is exactly what the Visual Composer does with the Huber theme. The difference is the demo provides 15 examples of what can be done, whereas Huber only currently provides 4. I will certainly be including more homepage examples in the future.

Hey, I do understand your frustration. However we haven’t even determined if this is a theme issue yet, especially since nobody else has reported this problem (that’s always a good indicator that the theme is responsible). Also please note I don’t usually work on weekends. It does say I only offer support Monday to Friday. Everyone needs a break.

Another great theme! I am interested in migrating across from The Review – is it a relatively straightforward process?
I wondered on the review pages whether there was an option to keep a Summary rather than Good and Bad points? My real worry is losing any content in migrating across and having to manually ‘rescue’ the text we have there to move it into the main body – which will take time with 500+ reviews.

Huber doesn’t use display the summary currently, however I’ll look into adding this in a future update. If you run the converter you won’t lose the summary text, it’ll still be stored in the database as a custom field.
