Unfortunately I am migrating an existing site to this theme that relied heavily on VC. I’ve seen in previous comments you mentioned that you planned on adding it in the future. Do you have any idea how soon this will happen?

Hi, we don’t have any release date yet. We have been putting a lot of effort trying to make things as easy as possible using our themes so nobody has to rely in third party plugins to get the most of it. It is still in our roadmap but can’t tell you when will it be ready.

I want the sidebar to be consistently on the right on ALL pages. Please help!
Hi, after investigating this thing we found a bug that needs to be addressed. In the mean time just edit woocommerce.php line 32 and change the word ‘left’ for ‘right’ https://cl.ly/3s2r2e360Y0T . We will release an update when it’s fixed.

Hi Luis, Thanks for the reply. I searched for that particular string of code in woocommerce.php (both versions: the one in the woocommerce folder and the one in the shockmag theme folder) but there was no string of code containing ”$st_[‘sidebar_position’]”. I would share the file here except it’s not possible to upload files.
Couple of things here, don’t edit any files inside woocommerce plugin folder. The file woocommerce.php should be inside your theme folder and if you are using a child theme and the file is not there just copy it from the parent theme to the child one without removing the file from the parent theme. Then look on line 32, you will see it.

Hi, we haven’t tested any plugin with that functionality with our themes. I’m afraid that you’ll need to test them out and see which one works nice with the theme. There are plenty of them, I’m sure you’ll find one that works.

I’m not sure if you’ll be able to do what you want with this method because you don’t have control over the categories with that widget. You better try with ST Posts.

I’ve just tried to put a new ST Posts widget on my default sidebar, showing the videos category (using the slug). But when I check the site, the post list is not showing. Website, theme, plugins have been updated. I don’t know what else can be stopping the ST Posts widget from showing. Thanks

I check the box to activate it but the images in the post don’t zoom.

After checking it, we found a problem that needs to be fixed for that feature to start working again anyways.

Maybe I’m not being clear… I meant the title above the products. We did a quick fix by putting the label in the pictures. But we wanted it above the different products in the store of the link I sent.
Can you please send me a direct message with your wp login credentials? I’d like to have a look because the title is not even in the output.
Have you tried deactivating the plugins that are not required/optional with the theme? Maybe another plugin is doing something under the hood.
Have you tweaked or added code to your functions.php?

Hey, Great theme, just bought this theme and i have applied it to my site and its up and running. But you got to help me out with a couple of things…. . First im using ads pro (from the past), when i set up the ad in the second sidebar, the image will be clickable in desktop mode but not in mobile mode? The header banner working just fine in both modes. You can see it your self on my website. The second question is: i want to change the menu color. Third question: can i make with a bit wider in boxed layout? Forth question: can i set fullscren images on background under header, and the header is a little transparent? Fifth question : in boxed layout the background image doesent seem to be visable on the sides only underneeth the center.
And if you got some handy tips and perhaps some good css code to tip me when you have taken a moment to look att my site, it would have been most appreciated from my side.

2. Menu color in your case corresponds to secondary color, you can change it in “Theme Panel->Style->General” or via CSS:

You can also apply RGBA in your second question.
The background images are taken from the categories https://cl.ly/063W2Y0l1z0t So whatever you set there would be used as the background for that slide.
5. That is how the boxed layout works, otherwise would be pretty much the same as the wide one.

Tried installing the update but the update keeps failing (destination folder already exists): http://oi65.tinypic.com/k9ygr5.jpg Also, when I try to rename the folder and the stylesheet details (eg: folder to “shockmag2” and Theme Name in style.css to “shockmag2”) before uploading, it still fails and says “style.css could not be found.” Great theme, but really slow support – have to wait several days for a response on any issue, however small or big the question.
Hi, that is because the theme is already installed and you are uploading the same folder again. The fastest way is to go to your themes folder and delete the current folder and put the new one there.
If you are doing this on a production site then do the following:
1. Rename the folder you are going to upload. (for example: shockmag-upd) 2. Upload it to your themes folder 3. Once uploaded it, delete shockmag parent theme folder and rename shockmag-upd to shockmag
Not ideal but that would be the procedure.

- To change the footer size go to “Theme Panel -> Style -> Custom” and add this:
#footer { padding-bottom: 100px; }
Play with that value.
- What do you want to edit? If you want to show a specific category just add the desired category to the menu from “Appearance -> Menus” https://cl.ly/2G221f1s0X1l
- Most viewed is managed from “Theme Panel -> Blogroll” (at the bottom) https://cl.ly/2J343K273k3s
- I don’t know what you mean by “8 Post Formats”, do you mean this https://cl.ly/2T2B273e0R1Q ? Depending on the post format you choose it will be presented differently to accommodate the type of content.
- Header and footer colors can be changed by adding custom css and these would be the rules:

I have noticed that blogroll has some kind of shadow effect (if the picture has white colour in a blogroll it will be a little bit gray). Can/How I change or remove this shadow cover?

Ad Sidebar 2 appears when I use the preview of a post.
Because that is the position of the Ad Sidebar 2.
The position of Ad Sidebar 2 is stated as being “Appears in the middle of homepage and archives.”
So why is it appearing at the top of Posts?
Sorry, I see it now, it only happens when previewing a post, we will fix that in a future release. Don’t take it seriously by now, it won’t be shown on the front end. Thanks for pointing out.

I also had it happen outside of preview. It happened on the demo posts. I think it had something to do with post type or the choice of sidebar.
