Hi, great and really beatiful theme! I can’t wait to start building with it… My first question; in the manual and also in the Customizer there are notices to install the WP-LESS plugin to add advanced color options. I can’t seem to find this plugin, really strange. Can you help me?
Hey there,
Thank you for the purchase and kind words!
The plugin can be found in the WordPress plugin library: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-less/
We’ll update the documentation to note this – thanks!
Cheers
Thanks a lot! (already saw your quick reply by e-mail)
Hello, is it possible to add some content blocks with buttons in this thema. It seems all te blocks are posts. Can you tell me how?
Hello,
Blog layouts contain only blog posts and custom Ads ( for details see http://library.korra.io/whyte/documentation/#ads ).
Page content can have any kind of content. For details on what theme offers and how to use it check this part of the docs: http://library.korra.io/whyte/documentation/#editor-and-content

Hi there! I’m obsessed with this theme but just have one question before I buy it… Does it support video at all? I want to add a few tutorials to my blog. Thank you!
Hey Lisa,
Yes, it fully supports videos (both embedded and self-hosted). They are embedded using the native WordPress system.
Here’s the Video Post on our demo: http://demo.korra.io/whyte/video-post/
Here you can see the same post in the blog list: http://demo.korra.io/whyte/author/sally/page/2/
Cheers
Thank you so much for your speedy reply! I love the theme. Will be buying it this evening or tomorrow. I am very new to wordpress etc so you will be hearing from me a lot – I apologise in advance! Lol. If there are any updates to the theme after the 6 month support period would I need be excluded from that?
Great! You have a lifetime access to all updates. 6-months period is related only to support.
Hey! I know there is a thumbnail issue, but my thumbnails are not oversized or cropped, but they are super pixelated. I already ran the force regenerate plugin twice and nothing changes! Any solutions?
Hey,
Can you share a link to your website? Right now, we don’t see a reason for the issue, but closer inspection will surely help.
Cheers
Hey, here is the link: http://howsheliv.com The page was on maintenance mode but I put it off for you to see. The thumbnails are shown super pixelated. I am using safari browser, version 10.0.2. (for example the thumb of this post: http://howsheliv.com/wearing-flowers/)
Hello,
Oh, yes, images are really not rendering correctly for Safari. We will apply a patch for this in the theme update, but in the meantime, you can solve it easily by pasting this CSS into Customizer > Additional CSS:
img { image-rendering: auto !important; }
Kind Regards
Thanks that worked! Ive another general question. I’ve just downloaded the uploaded theme. How can I install it? I am using the Child theme and did all my modifications there. So can I just delete the Whyte “Mother” Theme and install the new one? Thanks very much for your help!
Pretty much, yes, you could just overwrite the parent theme. Here are the docs covering multiple possible approaches for updating theme (overwriting theme via plain upload is one of them): http://library.korra.io/whyte/documentation/#theme-update
Hi! Pre-purchase question: will your custom short code generator make it difficult to switch themes or export post content? I am referring to the “lock-in” created by page builders such as Visual Composer, etc. Great look! Thanks!
Hey rgbreeze,
No, theme does not lock-in content. Shortcode generator refers to system for easy adding of our custom shortcoded elements like Rich Image or Blog. Upon changing theme you would lose only those custom elements that are unique to Whyte.
Cheers
Great work! May I ask the weight of the theme file?
Hello,
Thank you!
Theme’s installable .zip file weights 2.4mb.
Kind Regards
Hi Korra,
Thanks for the quick reply. Awesome light weight, that’s a great sign!
Very interested in buying!
Best
Thank you, and see you soon!
Hey folks,
We’ve just updated the theme with some big additions:
- Blog Carousel
- Blog Layout: List-unboxed
- Blog Layout: Archive Gallery
- Blog Layout: Sideblock List (for usage in the sideblocks)
- Image-Masonry blog layout has been redesigned slightly
- Theme Option: Justify blockquotes and post excerpts ON/OFF
- Theme Option: Choose cover width ( content/full )
- Sticky Header – appears once you start scrolling back ON/OFF
Cheers!
Hi, I want to buy it. Is there Visual Composer? Thank you.
Hello,
There is no Visual Composer which is a great thing because the whole website works much faster and there is no code overhead.
All elements are easily created through pure editor formatting and our custom shortcode-generator. You can see the details in our documentation here: http://library.korra.io/whyte/documentation/#editor-and-content
Kind Regards
Hey! I recently bought the theme and installed it. Unfortunately the heading fonts and body fonts aren’t displayed right. In the customizer everything seems right, but the fonts all look different! Even if I clean the cache and try out other browsers.. Any hint what could cause this problem?
Solved it! It was a problem with activated plugins from my theme, that I used before! After deactivating them, everything shows up right!
Glad to hear that!
Cheers
Great theme performance wise! Really fell in love with all the customization options! However, got question struck my mind!
How can i determine the cover image to be full width or content width? In your demo you featured an image that is content width only as cover: http://demo.korra.io/whyte/big-masonry-gallery/ I would like to do the same as most of my old image are not in high res!
Hey there,
Thank you for the kind words, we are very glad to hear that you’re enjoying the theme.
The post you linked is created with Custom Cover option. When customizing cover in Post Settings, below post content editor, you can choose the ‘Size’. Pick ‘Auto’ instead of ‘Cover’ to force the image being displayed in it’s original size.
However, your question got us thinking about this, and we will implement a new feature that lets you choose between full and content widths for the Cover. This will be introduced in the first upcoming patch, probably during the coming week.
Cheers
Wow, thanks for the prompt reply!
However, there is still an issue. Here is an example where I used the custom cover feature + size “Auto”: http://mancve.com/2016/12/volvo-lifepaint/ The result is a correct display of the image proportions and original width, but what bugs me is that there is a transparent or white space above and beneath the image until the content starts. How to fix that?
Secondly if I embed whatever video streaming link (YouTube or Vimeo) it displays the video but doesn’t adjust the proportions or width based on the content width (as you see in the example above as well).
Best approach would be to wait a day or two for the next update where this will be covered automatically via the new feature.
Error with embeds usually happens when Jetpack plugin is installed. Specifically, Jetpack’s Shortcode Embeds module overrides the Whyte’s functionality for responsive embedded media, and all the Youtube/Vimeo embeds start rendering out of proportion and size. Just deactivate this module from the plugin and things will get back to normal.
Kind Regards
Actually there doesn’t seem to be a “Shortcode Embeds” option in the current JetPack version anymore. Could you assist
?
Can you make sure to use the original URL for embedding media? Don’t use shortcoded or embed-codes. WordPress will automatically convert your link into embedded media when you paste the link in the editor.
For example, when embedding YouTube videos in content, paste the link in this format:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wsUHhiMpGw
I exactly did paste the URL in this specific format into the editor (see this post for example and check the source code: http://mancve.com/2017/05/santa-chiara-locanda-vivaldi-venedig/). Mhm
Could you contact us via the Support tab, and create for us the user with admin role for your WP-Admin? We will jump in to see what’s going on.
Cheers
Getting back to the topic (I’ve sent you a mail via support forms): this is a recent video format post: http://mancve.com/2017/07/isle-of-man-tt-dokumentation-studio-kippenberger/
The youtube video has been embedded like stated in the documentation, however, it doesn’t stretch to the content width and it also does not replace the featured image. Thanks for help
Hello,
I’ve accessed your website and tested the embedding issue a bit. The problem is caused by Jetpack’s ‘Shortcode Embeds’ module which alters the way WordPress’ oEmbed feature works. The weird thing is – once the ‘Shortcode Embed’ module is activated, it can’t be deactivated. For some reason, there is no the ‘Deactivate’ button. My guess is that this is some newly introduced bug in the latest Jetpack version, since I found the same bug on my own WordPress installations.
I’ll have to dig deeper here and see if there is a reason for this and what can be the workaround. Currently, it’s out of theme’s hands, but I’ll get back to you as soon as I have any additional information and hopefully a solution.
Kind Regards
Yeah, thought so :/ There must be a “hard switch-off” trigger or something like that tho…
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Getting back to you again! The option to disable shortcode embeds is still available! Just found something interesting in an online board from a Jetpack dev! You can do this here: YOURSITE/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack_modules
So I just pasted the YouTube link into the article again: http://mancve.com/2017/07/isle-of-man-tt-dokumentation-studio-kippenberger/ however, it doesn’t look responsive neither does it replace the header oO
Good find! Indeed that worked.
I have changed your embed link from:
https://youtu.be/YGBmwDoAWgEto:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGBmwDoAWgE
and it works fine. I’ll improve the code to support these shorthand variations as well.
Currently, there is no option to display video as a cover media. I’ll see to implement this feature as well.
Expect the new theme version with both of these improvements in the next day or two.
Kind Regards
Featured images that appear on the front page using the following code appear laid over the scroll bar and are not centered properly:
[korra_blog posts=”4” style=”gallery” category=”featured” sort_by=”date” sort_order=”DESC” ads=”0” featured_exclude=”off”]

Hello,
Our guess is that there is some third-party element added in the page that ‘breaks through’ the screen size and makes the content wider then it should be.
However, this is only a blind guess and we would have to access the live website to look into the issue.
Kind Regards
There is a large gap between featured image and body of post in mobile view.
Hello,
Can you paste a link where we can see the issue? Everything seems fine in our installations.
Kind Regards
Hello,
The large gap you are referring to should be the Post’s meta details. Have you hidden this part or with any custom code/plugin altered it’s behavior?
Kind Regards
Hi,
I’m interested in buying your theme. Are the color options limitless, or is it just white, black and gray?
Thanks!
Hello,
Yes, color options are limitless. Beside accent colors and gradients, you can change white, black and grays – they can be any color, not just from the white/black scale.
For details, see our documentation here.
Kind Regards
Cool Item! Good Luck!
Demo does not install any of the demo pages, only images.
Hello,
Demo content can take some time to fully import ( 10min ). Some servers have time limitations, so it may happen that you got timed-out and imported only part of the content. If this is the case, you could try importing again, and optionally unchecking the ‘import media’ setting.
Kind Regards
Receiving error when loading theme: Warning: Missing argument 2 for korra_custom_wp_trim_excerpt() in /home/website/public_html/website.com/wp-content/themes/whyte/framework/functions/theme_functions.php on line 157
After further research, jetpack is causing this error. Please fix.
Hello,
Thank you for the report. We have implemented additional safeguards to prevent this error from happening even in these strange edge-case scenarios.
Kind Regards
Great job guys, love the awesome post type selection
Hey, thanks for the support!
My pictures come out all weird and pixelated, can you help me fix this?
Hello,
Upon activating Whyte and migrating from another theme, previously added featured images might take strange aspect-ratios, be unnecessary big or just look out of place.
This is because image thumbnails have not been resized/cropped per Whyte’s presets.
Just install Force Regenerate Thumbnails Plugin, and fire it up from Tools > Force Regenerate Thumbnails. This will regenerate all your ‘pre-Whyte’ featured images, and you’ll be golden.
Kind Regards
Congratulations! Good Luck With Sale
Great job. Nice functionalities. Good luck with the sales
