Hello Ricci,
I am trying to exclude (comment out) “additional info tab” from products page and add a new tab instead. Could you at least tell me what file(s) I should edit, I can figure out the rest. As I´m new in Magento I´m just a little lost in its structure.

to do this open following file:
app\design\frontend\exdress\default\template\catalog\product\view.phtml
Affected lines for “additional info tab” are: Line 240 and 250-254. Here you can make your changes you want.

I have difficulty setting main menu: i have sub category : Long Dress (ID: 4)
the main menu widget show link long dress : http://domain.com/catalog/category/view/s/long-dress/id/4/but it show nothing or The page you requested was not found, and we have a fine guess why.
Please share me correct URL , or share me login details (PM) to your store. Your shared link isn’t correct.

2 questions:
1. how come on my site in the slider product in the home page, when I hover over the products, nothing happens (suppose to load the “View Product Button).
2. how would i go a about setting the product slider for the whole width , 4 Col, getting rid of the “sales of the week” and ” top Product”
I already tried removing the blocks from the home page layout, and setting the product slider widget to 4 col, but nothing happens there are just two empty col on the right now.

Hi,
you have just to upload the extension to your Magento installation root – thats all. Anything else (twitter name etc.) can be edited within Magento backend.
You can change background easily, it is controlled by .css-file.

how can I remove the ”?___store=default” from the end of the link on the menu root categories.
I’ve only one view to my store – english and it’s still doing that.

This is a known issue, but didn’t find a working solution for it yet. It is a Magento issue, searched for a solution with google but without any success.

Did find a solution, and it works. To fix it you have to edit a Magento core file, but be aware of it when you are updating Magento in future:
Open Link.php in app/code/core/Mage/Catalog/Block/Widget/Link.php
GOTO Line 91:
$this->_href = $this->_href . $symbol . “___store=” . $store->getCode();
And change it to:
$this->_href = $this->_href;

Hi Andrew,
after downloading latest package, you should have a look in “exdress_update_files” folder. There is a diff-files list which makes it easier to update your theme.

in the latest download you have included the update folder. but you also included in this folder the install-exdress.php
what would be the exact steps to update the theme?
should i just copy the changed files over the current ones, and then navigate to the install-exdress.php file again ?
i want to keep all the configuration i made.

You don’t have to run install-exdress again. If you made design/layout changes to current theme installed I recomment to have a look at diff-files list. Usually you can upload content of update folder to your installation, but it will override existing files. For this I recommend to have closer look at diff-files.

BTW : indianelite.com has many of the themes that are for sell here for sale at almost twice the price. You may not be the only developer who’s work is being PIRATED . Perhaps you could let Themeforest.net know.

I´m trying to disable “Billing Agreement” and “Recurring Profile” from “My Account Navigation”. I found “navigation.phml” file on one of exdress folders, but as I know nothing about php I was wondering if you could tell me from what file those links are called so I can comment them out. I found no XML file that could correspond to them.

To disable these two functions from the account navigation you can copy billing_agreement.xml and recurring_profile.xml from /app/design/frontend/base/default/layout/sales/ to /app/design/frontend/exdress/default/layout/sales/.
NOTE : You have to create a new folder “sales” within ”...exdress/default/layout/” folder!
After copying the files to their new location you can edit them. Find the following code in billing_agreement.xml:

</reference>

And change it to:

Then find the following code in recurring_profile.xml:

By doing this you’ve removed the links to these functionalities from the account navigation. If you ever have to enable them you can simply uncomment the lines again.
