The ajax version of the site doesn’t seem to work at all. Well.. page transitions work but background transitions don’t work. I’m editing both scripts.ajax.js and index.ajax.html so I know I’m in the right file.. just doesn’t seem to work.

Edit: I take that back.. I only have issues in Chrome… I can’t open up any of the Connect with Me or Twitter boxes.. Happens on both the demo site and on my own.

Hi

There are no issues for me in the demo version on Chrome. What Chrome version and OS are you using?

Regards, TC

I’m on Chrome 17 with Windows 7 Ultimate. The main issue I saw was the twitter and connect with me don’t work at the bottom of the page in Chrome. It looks like this: http://puu.sh/jEJP.jpg (Screenshot)

Okay, will do. Thanks. Was totally stumped when I saw it! Brian

Hi,

I was looking through the server stats for the month and came across no less than 41,000 404 errors. They all relate to images (gifs etc) which are called by the css, curiously relating to just a couple of pages.

The top one was /italiano/images/loading.gif (2,156 errors) which was called by http://www.littledog.it/italiano/dovesiamo.html

This page alone was responsible for about 30,000 errors!

The second page was http://littledog.it/inglese/contatti.html and this was similarly trying to find images such as /inglese/images/loading.gif

As far as I know I did nothing to alter the css or the file addresses for the system images (like loading.gif) so can’t see how they should chuck up all these errors.

To try and stem them I’ve added image folders to the italiano folder. I don’t know if it’ll fix the 404s but I can’t see why it is required in the first place. Will it solve the issue if I go into the css and put full addresses for the images (www.littledog…etc)?

Baffled…. Thanks

It looks like you have the sites in two subdirectories so that is probably the cause. Along with the images linked to from the CSS , there is some image preloading going on in the files:
  • contact-form/js/scripts.js
  • js/scripts.js
  • js/plugins.js
  • js/serene/jquery.serene.js
If you search in those files for window.preload you will find it. In JavaScript as opposed to CSS the paths are relative to the current web page and not the location of the JS file. So change the paths to match your altered set up.

Any closer to getting this to a Wordpress Theme?

Yes, we are 100% focused on building this now. It will be out as soon as it’s ready :)

WordPress version is now (at long last) available to buy. We hope it was worth the wait. Storm WordPress Theme

Great template.

You need to update Swift Mailer, though. The version you’re using is years out of date.

Thanks, we’ll soon update the template form with the latest version of our form script.

Is there a WordPress version?

Hi, not yet but we are working on it right now! Please follow us for updates.

Hi,

The contact form has stopped working for this template. When contacted the hosting company got the following reply.

Due to recent spam attacks originating from our servers, we are enforcing the check on the from address that can be used to send the emails through mail scripts. The from address has to be anyhting@your-domain-name.tld.

For example, your from address that you need to use in the script is <anything>@your-domain-name.com or donotreply@your-domain-name.com , or any other email address with your-domain-name.com . It does not have to be an existing email address but the FROM address has be to mentioned as something@your-domain-name.com . If you want your customers to reply back to your mails you can specify a valid email ID of your-domain-name.com.

The recipient will receive the mail from the email address you have specified at the FROM parameter. Mails that are not following the above rule will be blocked. Hence your customer are not receiving the mails.

Kindly let me know the changes required here Urgently as am in a fix here with the client as there contact form has stopped working.

Many thanks.

Hi

In contact-form/config.php add this on line 30:

$emailSuccessHandler->setFromAddress('something@your-domain-name.com');

Hi Anka,

It was a question of weeks in september 2011 and in february 2012 it’s still not there so…

Is the WP version of your Storm Dark theme under works? How soon you expect it to be completed?

Hi, thanks for last response. Is it possible to use Google map Iframe in the contact section? – I’ve tried but am just getting a white box come up. Apologies if this is a stupid question. Cheers

Hi

Yes, it is definitely possible. It sounds like there may be a problem with the code you are inserting? Could you post a link to the page, or send the link to the contact form on my profile page?

Regards, TC

Hi Really love the theme, however, purchased and unfortunately didn’t realise that it’s not a Wordpress theme … spent quite a bit of time searching for a theme that I can use to add a custom background.

Noticed there was another request – how far away is the wp version?? Would be great if it was soooooon :)

Thanks!!

Hi we are working on it now, I’d say 1-2 months but I could be very wrong (in either direction) :)

Hi Could you let me know what I need to remove to disable the search and minimise functions. Also, I’ve needed to add an additional couple of item in the nav bar which doesn’t leave much room – what parameters do I need to resize the nav bar (and obviously the corresponding text/graphics)? Cheers

Hi

In the source code, delete the all the code between the comments

<!--Search--> and <!--End Search-->
and all the code between
<!--Minimise--> and <!-- End Minimise-->
To increase the width of the nav, raise the width set in the CSS style #nav-wrap-inner in the styles.css file.

Hi. Before I buy this amazing theme. I have several questions that makes me to hesitate.

01. Is the images on the background get compressed in anyway? or It’s all about the quality I give to the photo? (It’s important not to have a compressed or something on the photos).

02. Is it possible to get a small tweak!? (after buying this theme, off course!) – To have a descriptions header above the images on the “3 column layout” and a small size text (2-3 raw) below the image.

03. Is the contact form comes with the “serverside application” where I insert my email when people sent msgs via the web – I get it to my email. is it include?

It’s a wonderful theme and I would like to buy it. Thank you and please answer me to all my questions!

Thanks!

Hi LeonTech

1. They do not get compressed, but they are proportionally scaled depending on the size of the browser window. You can see this in action if you resize the window on the demo. You lose quality if you scale up but scaling down is fine, so if you start with a larger image it will be better quality on bigger resolutions. The tradeoff is the longer download time of each image. You can choose an image size to suit.

2. Yes, you can send us a message through the contact form on our profile page and we can tell you what to change.

3. Yes all server side code for the form is included. In fact it’s the entire iPhorm product.

Hi,

Lovely template. I want to adapt this for my composing site. Do you do alterations? How much would you charge to put an mp3 player and playlist option in the footer bar (which continues to play in the AJAX theme as you browse)?

It would be good to have a bigger full player on one of the main pages too but I might be able to add this myself.

Let me know whether this is possible?

Thanks so much for any and all help!

Hi

Sorry we are not currently available for alteration work. It’s possible to add in though, you will probably find a tutorial on the web somewhere on it :)

Hi Guys Great template and is working really well for us. Thank you. Once question, is it at all possible to add a HIDE / SHOW item as you have for the nav bar to a text box. So a user can read the copy and then hide the box to view thew full background image. Then click to maximize the text box again.

Once again, brilliant template. You guys rock. Thanks Andrew

Hi Andrew

You would need to write your own JavaScript code to handle this, but it’s quite simple with jQuery. So you’d just need to create your element that you will trigger the hiding and bind a click event on it to fade out the box and then bind an event on something else (such as clicking the document body) to show the box again. There are many examples of how to do similar things on the web, e.g. fade examples.

Can the pictures in the Portfolio tab under Fancybox view larger than what is shown on the demo or is that as big as they will show?

Thanks, Carlos

There is no limit to the size of the images.

hello,

Is it possible to create submenus of soumenus

example:

Menu1 --> Submenu 1
          Submenu 2
          Submenu 3 --> Subsubmenu 1

Thank you for your help

Yes, you need to follow the same structure as the other drop downs by adding a new ul inside an li. Like this:

<ul>
<li><a href="#">One</a>
<ul><li><span>Two</span>
<ul><li><a href="#">Three (link)</a></li></ul>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>

It gets confusing with all the li and ul's. :P So just be careful they are in order. And make sure the sub menus that create a new menu are span’s not a’s.

TC

Hello, Really nice theme! Are you going to release or adapt a version for wordpress? Thanks

Yes, definitely. We are working on it.

Thank you. I really appreciate it. I also noticed links pointing to a pop-up window do not work. Is this an easy javascript fix? If not I can just try to code what I wanted in the pop-up with one of the galleries.

Hi, I would like to disable the full-screen background option. I want to place my own static/normal background in its place (styling the body tag), but I need to disable the default background first. Thanks.

(I tried to delete my comment below, sorry.) I made the changes, and the background image no longer shows. I noticed the loading image stayed, and I found the javascript file was jquery.serene.js (so I just unlinked my page from that file). However now a simple change in css to the body from “background-color: black;” to “background-color: white;” is not changing the color. My background remains black.

I was wondering if there is a way to only utilize the ajax script for loading new pages and leave out the other .js files? I’d like to add my own .js files, but I didn’t want to make major changes without knowing exactly what to do and mess everything up. Thank you.

Sorry for all of the comments. I finally was able to make all of the effects work. Thank you though!
