Hi there, I have already been running you Live! on my site for a number of years (www.theportlandarms.co.uk) but would love to move the site over to Tune. Do I need to be aware of any issues when switching to the new theme? The old Live! theme came with a load of Wolf plugins such as Wolf Albums, Gram, jPlayer, message bar, music network, shortcodes, sidebars, socials, twitter and widgets pack Do i still need all these with the new theme or should I disable before switching? Finally I already have a woocomerce store, will the Tune store replace it or will my existing store stay in place? Are there any advantages to using the theme store (such as better layout, theme colours etc)? Thanks in advance! Steve
Hey Steve,
You do the right thing if you update to Tune.
First, a lot of plugins used in Live! are no longer needed in Tune. I suggest disabling all plugins before switching. You will get notified about which plugins to install/activate once you activate Tune and you will be able to install and activate the new plugins directly from your dashboard via the plugin installer.
Tune integrates WooCommerce as well for your store so you won’t need to re-create your products.
The only important thing you will have to do after switching to Tune is to regenerate your image thumbnails to fit the new layout. It is very easy to do using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/ Just go to “Tools” > “Regenerate Thumbnail” and launch the task.Let me know if you have any other question.
Cheers
Excellent stuff. I’ll get onto purchasing the theme very soon. Are there any discounts for repeat customers?!
Unfortunately, I don’t have control over this. I wish I would be able to offer coupon and things like that but I can only set the main price on my side. This is something I will ask to themeforest as it could be very useful.
Cheers.
Hello Wolf-Themes,
I have more so of a curious question because I am just stumped on trying figure it out. I just wanted to know exactly how were you able to place all the logos towards the bottom of the sample sites before you get the footer?
I’m trying to duplicate that but use affiliate company logos instead. I do see however there is something called “music-logo-link” and “music-social-icons-container” when trying to view your css elements but I’m stumped in understanding whether this is a custom CSS add-on or part of the visual composer page builder.
hope to hear from you soon
Hey there,
In the demo, I use Wolf Music Network plugin. https://wolfthemes.com/plugin/wolf-music-network/Once the plugin installed, the logos will be automatically displayed before the footer. You can fill your profile URLs in the “Music Network” admin panel.
You can also use this plugin with other logos and replace the logo images by your own. Please check the instructions on the plugin page.
I hope it will help!
For more help, please post a ticket on the support forum. We will reply as soon as possible. http://help.wolfthemes.com/PS: If you like our theme and if you’re satisfied with our support services please rate it in your ThemeForest downloads section. It would be much appreciated!
Thank you so much for that! I don’t see however, if I wanted to create my own form field for lets say another company such as MTV among-st the rest of the music form list that it’ll tell me where to go in the back-end to do so (edit php files).
Would this be difficult to do and that’s why we can only change out the image but yet make sure to keep the same image name as before (example: use soundcloud form field as MTV, so go to the image folder place MTVs logo in there but make sure the logo name is souncloud.png, go back to the web form, place the MTV link on there and call it a day)?
If you add an MTV.png image to the image folder, the plugin will automatically add the fom field in the backend.
Awesome! Thank you
Hello, does your theme supports RTL languages? Arabic specifically Thanks
Hey there,
The theme includes an automatically generated rtl.css file and it can be enabled “manually” by adding the following function in your child theme functions.php file. https://gist.github.com/wolfthemes/5d9bea840564afef5565960b820e888a How to set up your own Child Theme https://docs.wolfthemes.com/document/child-theme/I hope it will help
Hi, Wordpress says: “There is a new version of Tune available. You have version 1.0.3 installed.” When I click “Update to version 1.0.4.”, it doesn’t do it. Do i need to install again from my envato downloads? Does it keep the installed demo content?
Hey there,
There is a known issue with the Envato plugin at the moment. I hope it will be fixed as soon as possible.
Yes, please re-upload/re-install the theme. You won’t lose any content or settings.
I hope it will help
Thank you i will try that!
Theme install failed.
Destination folder already exists. /www/wp-content/themes/tune/
So that means i need to delete te folder (and lose all?). Shall I wait till envato fixes plugin
The theme is separated from all your data and options. No worries, you can delete the folder and re-install the theme.
Cheers
OK, done it!!
Hi,
I have reinstalled the item yet again, but the download is not the latest version? Wordpress says “update to 1.1.4”. but if i download from envato (as the button still doesnt work), it gives me 1.0.4 ??
What to do??
Hey,
I just checked and the version is correct on the last release available. Please double check that you didn’t re-install the previous version.
I hope it will help
I have downloaded the latest version now thanks, only it just doesnt want to install it. It asks me if I’m sure, I click continue and then… nothing
Hey there,
Please post a private ticket on the forum, I will check this as soon as possible. https://wolfthemes.ticksy.com/Cheers
Hi guys,
Many thanks for an exciting and dynamic template. This may sound like a dumb question, but where in the admin panel, can I find the option to choose which demo module I want to use. For instance, I would like to create my website using the ‘studio’ demo template.
thanks
Hey there
You can first import the demo content by following the instructions in the doc https://docs.wolfthemes.com/documentation/theme/tune/#import Then, set your desired demo as home page in the WordPress settings > readings https://docs.wolfthemes.com/documentation/theme/tune/#homeI hope it will help
Thank you
Amazing work, Goodluck with sales!
Thanks a lot!
Hello – Love theme theme! Just wondering if the player on the following page plays only mp3’s or does it stream SoundCloud and YouTube audio as well?
https://demos.wolfthemes.com/tune/release/lyric-song-cut/hey there!
The player supports only mp3 but you can display any soundlcoud playlist (or spotify) https://demos.wolfthemes.com/tune/modules/players/I hope it will help
Thanks for the info!
I’m interested in the html template, is there?
Hey there,
The theme has been designed directly for WordPress, unfortunately, there is no HTML version available.
Cheers
Having a hard time importing the demo data with the one-click option. Keep getting an error saying “Error: Internal Server Error (500)”. Have tried clicking the link to see if my server “fulfills the server requirements”, but got an error on that page saying that I’m not allowed to access the page. Have also tried to manually upload the demo content, and following the instructions for the manual import, but getting stuck at the “import customizer settings” since there is no “Export/Import” tab found in the customizer at all. Is there some other way around this?
Hey there,
If you don’t have access to the system status table and customizer import tab, it is because you probably don’t have enough admin rights. The best is to have the “admin” role as user in order to install and import the demo content correctly.
The 500 error usually indicates a poor server configuration, usually on a cheap shared hosting (low values for PHP settings, missing PHP modules, and so on). https://docs.wolfthemes.com/document/low-budget-hosts/You can contact your hosting support and ask them to update some PHP settings for your site.
I hope it will help
Interesting. I have deluxe hosting through Godaddy and have not experienced this with any other wordpress theme in the past (or any of the other 12 sites I currently host). I’m also the admin, so not sure what other rights I would need to have? Would have been good to know that Godaddy’s hosting would be an issue before purchasing. Will just need to find a template that’s easier to install/navigate and can work with standard hosting.
Hi,
The theme installation and demo import have been tested many times and you shouldn’t have any issue if you are admin and if your server fulfills the basic requirements to run a WordPress installation. Please post a ticket on the support forum with your login info in private reply and I will be happy to check this. http://help.wolfthemes.comKind regards
will do. thanks.
Figured this out by installing the ‘Customizer Export/Import’ and ‘Widget Importer & Exporter’ plugins BEFORE doing the one-click demo import. The installation instructions only mention these plugins under the manual import instructions, which is mentioned after the one-click demo import section. This solved everything (as my wordpress, php, mysql settings were all up to date on Godaddy). Just wanted to mention here, in case anyone else is experiencing the same problems when installing.
Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. But, if I may, you would have known this if you have read the installation instructions included in the documentation before leaving a bad review… https://docs.wolfthemes.com/documentation/theme/tune/#installOr at least leaving us the time to reply on a support ticket.
No offense, but I did read the documentation included with the theme and installed/reinstalled in the order everything was written (more than once). You’re a developer, so things make sense to you in a way it wouldn’t for the average person buying and installing your template. My review pointed that out, and I consider that a fair judgement as a buyer.
Hi again. Thanks for replying to my review, but just to be clear, the two plugins that I mentioned before were not included as any of the ‘required plugins’ when I installed (I installed all required plugins as directed in the instructions). I came across the missing plugins when I attempted the manual install (as that’s where they are mentioned), which is noted following the one-click install. Maybe that’s the part we’re not communicating correctly? Wanted to clarify, so that anyone else having that problem would know what order to do it in. Also having a problem with the logo and photos not being updated when I customize it, but I’ll send a private email/open support ticket, as I’ll need to send over my links and screenshots, so you can preview the issue. Thanks again.
Great Work Best of luck!
