Hey there – I really like this – it’s unique aesthetically and has some nice and interesting touches.
I do agree though – with @piglabs intuitions above with regard to the “feeling icons” on the right hand side – from a user experience perspective, I want to click on those to rate/rank the current article – not be redirected to the category that each one represents. I think this is actually very confusing and sort of non intuitive to users – the first time I looked at the theme the other day, I found the design very cool – and clicking on those icons, I expected them to be related to the current post – and not the categories as a whole. (the below the article icons obviously are the ones designed for that – I see that now – but to be honest – it feels like an odd user experience design decision – and I would bet – like @piglabs and myself – many others have scratched our heads a bit after click

I’m not sure I get the objection though, why would you think you could rate the current article? The ‘feel nav’ is present in the homepage so there is no “current article”.
You can rate the current article at the bottom of the actual article page, but a menu that groups posts based on the most voted reaction I believe is quite needed, isn’t it?
This is nothing unseen before, is the same as WTF / OMG / LOL or smileys menus seen in other sites (9gag?), but with a different design.
(FYI the ‘feel nav’ can be disabled while keeping the reaction feature)
Thanks for your interesting feedback though, I’ll consider making it clearer maybe by adding some text message like ‘browse by feelback’ or similar.

Hey there – thanks for the reply And rather than recapitulate the same point again – when you say “why would you think you could rate the article” – the answer, quite simply – when a user looks at a single article – in single view (I just peeked on my iPhone, to double check my initial observation) – I’m presented with a “smiling face” on the post itself (icon) – and a mobile menu at the top of the post with a selection of icons to choose from.
The natural intuition – for anyone – is to CLICK one of those icons – as a reaction to the content – or the image (featured) – or out of curiosity even – which, sends me to the category list of all the posts categorized by that icon. I’m not sure what is mysterious – from a user experience – that this would lead folks away from the current content – to another page on the site – and lead to a frustrated experience overall.
(of course none of this is “new” – per your follow up above – as there are many viral sites that incorporate the visual “vote” motif – and many TF themes that do the same – but I do think that it’s more confusing to users – based on how you’ve thought it out – visually – than maybe you recognize)

No worries – and to be totally honest – the more I look at the theme, the more I see it the UX through your eyes – less my own – and the more I like it as well. (will definitely buy – just need to find a good content heavy project to do it justice

Is the theme compatible with other blog sites like Blogger, Tumblr? I was absent minded when I made the purchase, and Word Press wants a few hundred dollars in order to house a theme.

This is a WordPress theme can’t be used on other systems. Not sure about wordpress.com (doesn’t it have a free plan?), although I’m pretty sure you can find hostings much cheaper than that.

whats the purpose of the icons on the right floating sidebar? when clicking on theme it just shows all the posts for each icon?

thanks for your interest.
That’s part of the Stoked! Feelbacks feature, and it’s meant to engage readers. Basically you can setup your feelbacks, then assign an icon to each post, and let users vote by expressing their feeling about an article, similar to Facebook reactions.
They can be emotions/like-dislike/badges or anything else since you can upload your own and customize tags.
The optional right navigation let you browse posts based on that.
All this is optional of course and you can disable the entire feature.

Hi. Looks great. Is the theme parallax compatible if I want add some parallax sections to the page? Is there a page builder to help put together the homepage for example?

thank you for your interest and compliment.
Parallax wouldn’t really fit the design, moreover I’m not sure it is something needed for a magazine/blog theme.
No page builder is required as the tend to bloat the output ( = slowness). You can get all layout styles you out of the box without using one.

nice job, some questions, can you please update the full features list, and the plugins included, did you have plans to make a front end uploader? like the snax and zombify plugins from bimber and boombox? its possible to embed media in the first page (like videos) ?

thank you for your interest. The feature list was updated thanks for the heads-up.
1. Front-end uploader: Yes there are definitely plans for that, we’re considering the best approach. Can’t guarantee on that at this stage though.
2. It’s possible to feature videos, but they’re not loading directly on the homepage though as multiple video embeds slow down the homepage significantly. We’ll reconsider that if that turns out to be a highly requested feature.
