We have added a new angular 5 seed project in package with latest materials version. You can download the latest files. We are waiting for stable versions of some modules which are not compatible with angular 5 and material , we will update the full package as soon as they release a stable supported version.

Thanks for showing interest in our product. Gene has been developed based on angular material framework ( a complete responsive framework for angular apps ), however Gene can be extended to use bootstrap as its already integrated in package and used on some of the sections. For RWD we have used angular material structure, it can also be divided into 12 column grid with bootstrap.

You can check our other product “Chankya” which is developed with angular 4 and Bootstrap 4 ( latest version )

Yes, we will be updating the gene to use “mat” tag once all the required modules have been updated to support this new tag, right now there are some modules which doesn’t support latest material tag.

Modules used in ng4 are compatible with angular 4, please let us know which section your developer is mentioning specific for angular 2 and can not be used for angular 4, we will try to help you with it.

Hi,

Bundle size depends upon the packages you are using and components you have on your app, but it can be reduced with aot build using “ng build—prod—aot” command. You can also remove unused packages and components from your app to reduce the size.

Right not gene doesn’t support material beta 10 version as it has compatibility issues with many other angular modules, we will try to include it in our future updates.

There is a bug in the sidebar, when opening on iPhone cell phones, the sidebar is open by default, on Android the sidebar is closed by default.

Thanks for purchasing our product. Gene comes with angular-cli (ng-cli) config file and you can build your app using it. ng-cli uses webpack internally so you can use ng-cli instead on webpack directly, but if you using it for some specific reason and have issue you can send us your package files with webpack to support@theironnetwork.org and will check the issue. Gene doesn’t have webpack file by default.
