v2.0.1 has serious problem. Content on posts is left-oriented. Just tried to disable all plugins, remove all custom css, purge all caches. Problem.persists. I downgraded to v2.0.0

The latest version of the Theme does not appear to support PHP 7. For example, all the widge files like this one: /flex-mag/widgets/widget-facebook.php is giving the error of: Use of deprecated PHP4 style class constructor is not supported since PHP 7.
Is there a plan to fix this?

Question – Tickets I open with you on the support site take on average of two days for the first response. Is this normal? Should I be using this comment section instead of the support ticket portal?
I’m having SIGNIFICANT performance issue right now with this theme. I have over 120k page views each day on the site and this theme is driving over 300/MBPS of sustained SQL traffic and my CPU sits at 90-100% CPU 24×7.
I need to know if your theme is capable of supporting a high traffic site or if I need to turn to a new theme.

I have been answering tickets everyday at the Support Center, so I’m not sure what you are referring to with the “2 days”. It’s possible you submitted a ticket on a Friday and didn’t hear back until Monday, but that’s because I don’t typically answer tickets on weekends. But I am in the middle of answering tickets as we speak, so if you haven’t heard back, that means your ticket is not set to “Open”.
The homepage layout is not as it is supposed to be suddenly. I tried replacing the files with new theme files. but nothing helped. Already tried All plugins disabling and looked for error logs but nothing there. http://chimpreports.com It looks like its showing the mobile layout on PC.

Hi. I have been a fan of your theme (and design) for awhile and believe it may be a good fit for a new project. I have some questions about features/how things work (questions 1 – 16) and as well as 4 questions (17 – 20) on what I am trying to accomplish and wonder if your theme is compatible.
1. Is it possible to customize or replace the fly-out menu? (ie; swap the fly-out menu with one from one of your other themes)
2. Is it possible to have only 3 evenly spaced articles using Featured Posts Layout 8 or 9? (instead of 4)
3. How are Featured Posts determined? Does the admin specify or is it possible that these images/posts reflect the most recent from Category X?
4. How is Most Popular posts determined? Clicks, Views, etc? And from what time period?
5. Is it possible to have the Latest News list (on homepage) with articles/content all from the same main category? (And then list newest content from sub categproes?) For example, show all articles from Category Technology. But display articles from Sub-Categories and display them above title. (ie; MOBILE, VIRTUAL REALITY, CONSOLE GAMES, etc.)
6. On main page, below Featured News (how is this selected?), how does the Theme determine which content/categories to display?
7. Is it possible to customize the Category pages for specific categories? (Change the layout from the default view.)
8. Can I manually increase/edit the number of Views and Clicks?
9. Can two or mode 300 width ads be placed in the 300px Wide Ad Area or just one image as in the demo?
10. When viewing Post Template 3, I notice if I scroll down to the end a new post auto-loads. This new post has a larger featured image and therefor the 300px Wide Ad disappaers. Is it possible for the ad to remain and all articles follow Post Template 3 formatting?
11. How are Recommended For You Articles decided? By date, category, etc?
12. Can default comments be replaced with Disqus?

- 17. I would like to implement a Jobs/Careers section using the free plugin WP Job Manager. Will it be possible to include “featured jobs” in the right sidebar? Will it be possible to include recently added jobs in the main page?
- 18. I would like to implement a Q&A style section of the site using a Question and Answer plugin. Will it be possible to include recent Questions and/or Answers in the right sidebar? Will it be possible to include this information on the main page mixed within the existing content from the demo?
- 19. I would like to have a search bar in the body of the page (below the featured images, question 2) and have it search the articles/posts from Flex Mag as well as from Jobs and Q&A. Is this possible?

1) The flyout menu is basically the same for all of my themes, but with small changes here and there. But swapping it from another theme is not available and is something you would need to do on your own.
2) That is something you would need to modify on your own.
3) They are set via a Tag you assign in the Theme Options.
4) They are displayed according to page views within the last X number of days that you can set yourself.
5) You cannot choose the category for the Latest News section, but you can widgetize the Latets News column and display a widget that displays posts from a category of your choice.
6) Those are widgets and you can display posts in widgets by category or tag.
7) I’m not sure what you mean by this, but category pages will display posts from whatever category it is. And you can change the Featured Posts section of the category page.
8 ) You can manually edit the views from within the post editor.
9) You can place as many ads as you want within the one ad widget. Or you can simply add the code in another separate widget below it.
10) Unfortunately, the article ads do not load in the auto loaded posts.
11) They are decided by shared tags that the current post and the related posts have in common.
12) Yes, Disqus is built into the theme where all you need is to insert your Disqus shortname in the Theme Options and the default comments will be replaced with Disqus.
13) That is not a feature of the theme and is something you would need to edit on your own.
14) I’m not exactly sure what you mean, but if you are asking if an ad can be loaded within the posts list, then that is not a feature of the theme.
15) I have not tested it with WP Super Cache, but I would recommend using W3 Total Cache as your caching plugin, which works well with the theme. I have not tested the theme with Yoast, but I am not aware of any conflicts with the plugin and have noticed quite a few people using the plugin with the theme without an issue.
16) I will always look to improve PageSpeed scores, but I always warn against putting too much stock in those scores. Google itself make recommendations for its own mobile site, and nearly all major news sites score very poorly on both mobile and desktop, but especially mobile, where scores are rarely higher than 50. I actually saw a major news site one time with a zero mobile score.
17 through 20) Those are not features of the theme and you will need to implement that on your own or get a third party to help you with.

3) If there are only 5 visible posts in the Featured Posts section, and you have 2,000 posts with that Tag, only the 5 most recently published posts will be displayed.
5) The widgets will only display posts from the specific category.
6) Some widgets do, but the widget with the 3 posts in a row will only allow you display those 3 posts. The others will allow you to display as many or as few posts as you want.
7) You can only select how posts are displayed in the Featured area on category pages. You can also choose whether posts are displayed in a row or column below the Featured Area. But adding additional content or actually choosing what posts are displayed on category pages is not an option. The posts in the category will be displayed.
12) No, the comment number will be disabled.
17+) It depends on your expertise, so if someone is very familiar with code, it shouldn’t be hard at all. But I must reiterate that this is something you would need to do on your own that I am not able to help with.
hey mvp, thank you again for your support via email, I saw your comment re an update coming out soon and was really hoping if you could take these suggestons into account for the update,
1. incorporate the social media + button seen on the top news theme, as this theme currently only displays facebook and twitter next to the search bar. the other social media handles are hidden in the navigation bar.
2. also adding option of Randomising posts within widgets, left and right side bar where currently we can change the name but no option to randomise posts if we decide to change the name say to what’s hot or trending, that would be ideal if you can add that option in the settings, mainly coz the content don’t look duplicated on the front page.
3. center the heading titles like latest news, popular now, featured etc, unlike sticking them to the left of each section.
4. give us the option to customise mobile site so it replicates desktop version, example, if i use a popular widget on right sidebar and title it as say Viral , on the mobile, the right column title is still displayed as popular and then the title viral comes underneath it which again displays two titles . there is an option to use sidebar for right column, the sidebar works on desktop, but on mobile, the 3rd column is still titled Popular.
5. finally , the blog settings under homepage settings, is there any chance to auto adjust the content box displayed on front page to match the content written for that post, i ask for this is because if someone chooses to use just the blog section and a right sidebar , there is a large gap after the 2 lines of excerpt displayed on front pag post, so you have a large empty space there, unless someone is using a left sidebar, blog and right sidebar, the box size adjust itself and it looks more elegant

I have installed a plugin called Ads Pro which takes care of all the plugins. What I want to do is let the plugin fill in the ads that are part of the theme (like below post ad space, footer banner ads space, etc) but the PHP code doesn’t work (it shows nothing) nor does it activate the shortcodes when I enter them (it just shows the text). The plugin developer said that these areas ‘should’ support shortcodes. Is there any way of activating this?
I realize I have no support anymore for this theme but it would be nice if you could help me if you can fix this with a short answer. If the answer takes longer to answer, some modifications, I’m fine to pay that, but then I want a guarantee that it will work when I pay the $35 fee

Unfortunately, the theme does not support shortcodes in the ad areas. But I would recommend using Google DFP, which is a much better ad management tool, and they will give you javascript code that you can use within the theme.

Hello, I can understand that but I am specifically paying $35 while all you have to do is point me the five files and the location (you can just give me the line numbers) within the files I can drop the codes. It shouldn’t take you a lot of time and it’s a nice hourly for you. I understand your concern but please look at it from my perspective. If you can give me the line numbers too I’m more than willing to pay the fee.
