Editing and saving a listing has an issue regarding the location. When you save, it picks a word from the name of the business or the address, and replaces the data given (lat and long) with what ever finds in google map. I normally delete all custom fields or even assign 0 to geolocated, and then I add geolocation_lat and long, but still it ignores them if your script finds a match.
Even more if I edit a listing that I managed previously to pass the lat and long, after saving my lat and long have been replaced.
Any idea hot to overcome this? Also where should I look at to check your script?

Just to continue from above, I had to use phpmyadmin to modify the database using the correct lat and long.

For each listing, I want to enter my own lat / long and your script leave it as it is without any modification. The problem is that your script calls google map and overwrites my settings.
For example, assume I have a listing where business or its street address is called “Rome” but this business is placed in another country and not in Rome. Then when I save, your script places my listing in Rome, Italy and overwrites my own lat and long. I do not want this to be happen.
I guess most of the work is in plugins/.../class-wp-job-manager-geocode.php
Please advise.

Exactly, this is what I want to say.
It doesn’t keep the lat and long I enter. It saves what ever it thinks is better according to the listing location. That means that if I will enter my own lat and long and as listing location I enter “Saint John”, It will replace my own lat and long with the lat and long of a city center named “Saint John”, somewhere in the world. It will also fiil in the rest of geolocation data.
The other scenario is to remove my lat and long.
Try it your self
Enter Listing location Saint John and 41.31467, 15.2490 as lat and long. Your script will delete these lat and long. Try a different name in the location field with the same lat/long. You may end up somewhere in the states or in any country and your lat/long will be replaced.
I want to keep control of the locations of the listings and not google. Google geodata info is not always correct.
Which scriprs are making all these manipulations? I would like to remove them.

I didn’t know it was a different author.
Anyway, I fixed it up. But the way it works “damages” your theme. You should at least include an option for user to select if automatically generated geodata is required (Yes/No). When I had a listing location with same name around the world, the script was replacing my geodata with the one automatically generated by the plugin. So I had to work in phpmyadmin to fix it. But what would it be happened if a user wanted to upload a new image? The plugin would override geodata again.
In my previous comment (about 1-2 months ago), you told me that I can only have one presentation style, half map or listi. But your demo has both. I would also like to have both. So could you pleasse tell me where / which scripts I should look at, in order to make it having two listing styles (half map and list). I just don’t want to spend time trying to find it out my seltf.

1) Geodata: is required function of the theme
If lost it, the theme will not good.
2) You can not add both layout. You can only choose 1 layout

(1) Geodata is a good option as far as it allows the business owner to place his business wherever he likes. It should be an option “autogenerate yes/no” per listing.
(2), how did you make it in your demo? Is it a different installation?

I think I have missed something. In home page, select regions displays a list of the regions I have entered (this is actually what I want). But when as a user I select a region I am getting all listings from all regions (not filtered by region)
When I create a listing, I only tick a region plus I only use geolocation_lat and geolocation_long.
Also in /listing-category/ how can I have a regions drop listi to select instead of a google areas ajax search?

In theme settings, I chenged “Filter Type” to regions and now it seems to work fine.

1) In the map https://demoapus.com/apuslisting/listings/?_preset=1507265553 the places are not automatically refresed when I move the map. Is not possible this feature?
2) How do the people add a place? Is easy?? Can I test this?

Hello, Your theme APUSLISTING seems to be great ! Thank you. But before I buy it, I would like to know if :
1. ApusListing can be used for a website that would work such as airbnb (since the tag “airbnb” is mentionned for that theme) : FREE membership (no charges to post an ad or to read an ad), but when someone buys a product (in my case it would be a night), a % of the sale goes to the owner of the ad, and a small % (a commission) goes to the owner of the website (us). That’s the only way we would be paid.
