Sure, “contributor” role users can only submit post for review so admin should review and publish. You just need to make your users to be contributor on registration, check “newly registered user role” option in setting->general in wp dashboard.

1. We’ll consider something specific here in the future, most of the features of this plugin are paid and it isn’t possible to deliver it with the theme. And actually currently it should work just fine with Boombox, just like it supposed to work with every well coded theme.

Hello, Sorry to say but it has a lot of bugs. Especially, While using BuddyPress. I will also report them with proof in your support area. I have requested a refund, Please initiate it so I can a new theme. Later, You may fix those in next update.

We would like to mention as well that we haven’t received any bug reports which are not solved instantly. You haven’t submitted any ticket to our support site, so we can check about what issues you’re talking. No worries, I am going to post them to support forum. I no longer need the refund as I have purchased a new theme. Still, as a user, It is my responsibility to make this theme awesome. There are total three bugs with on security issue. I will post it soon with screenshots.

It’s common problem in wp (not theme itself), sometime after wp update you need to reload permalinks, for doing it you need to open settings->permalinks in wp dashboard and just click on save, it should fix the problem.

Yes, it’s possible to play Instgram video directly on the stream, such feature is already in Boombox. Currently we don’t have such post in our demos, but we’re going to add one these days.

Hi, Can I create more categories in the Frontend Submission / Upload? For example, if I want contributors to submit Movie Reviews or Infographics or Product Recommendations, then how can I add such categories?

If you mean post formats like story, poll … etc – unfortunately there is no currently built in way to add custom ones. You can try to modify the plugin itself. It’s possible to change name of post formats via child theme.

If I want the users to pay (subscription fees), to be able to submit posts, then how can i do that? Does Boombox support any membership plugins that allow me to charge users to submit posts?
Hi,
There is no inbuilt solution, but you should be able to organose this via any 3rd party plugin for subscriptions by controlling user role depending on subscription. E.g “subscriber” can’t publish post, “contributor” role can submit posts for review and “author” can publish. Some custom development may require to achieve this.

Hi, I set the leader board tabs to display all-time/day/week/month totals by going to Appearance->Widgets->Gamify Leaderboard -> Timeframe: All time -> And selecting all the options for ‘Timeframe Tabs’ (all-time/day/week/month)
This displays the leader board and the tabs correctly, but all the tabs just show the All Time points still. I tried changing the ‘Timeframe’ to ‘Custom’ in case that was the issue, but no change. Any idea?
Also: I just noticed when I go to the ‘Popular’ page, I see this broken link(?) between the header and the start of the post-feed, on the right-hand side of the page.

I don’t see anything to edit from the WP page builder front-end or from the ‘Popular’ page back-end edit (it’s completely empty).
Sorry, but I’m noticing a few things breaking today.. latest is authentication.
When trying to login through Google, the log-in looks as its gone through, sign-in is successful with no errors, but the homepage ‘authentication’ icon does not turn to their profile icon(thus showing the profile menu buttons) – so i’m not actually logged in on the homepage(if i try to contribute a post it asks for sign-in again, then when i try to sign-in again, the Authentication tells me ‘You are already signed in as X. Do you want to log out?’—i can see that i am logged in when visiting some pages (like ‘Hot’), it shows me as logged in, and i can access my profile etc on some pages, but not on others?
So sorry for another one, but this is an amendment to my last: I found the cause of my log-in issue, it was a result of WP Fastest Cache plugin, following the guide from this site (https://justbrightme.com/wp-fastest-cache-settings/) I had previously unchecked :
“Don’t show the cached version for logged-in users” since my site has multiple Authors who contribute posts through zombify. Once I checkmarked this box however, my users were able to log in normally and see their userprofile on the homepage.
