Hello,
I am wondering why the images in the “Featured Projects” section on the homepage of my site are not responsive – I used the same sizing as the placeholder suggested (900×580).

Hi there, first thank you for the purchase.
The “Featured Projects” images in the demo are added with CSS as a background and then centered, you have them as an actual image with img tag, that’s way they are not responsive.

why can not I download the update
try again after some time
Hello from Germany,
what is the best file-format to implement a video in the header. What size (height & width) do you recommend.
The same as the demo video, check the link to find the exact video.
P.S. your support is expired.

I have the following problem:
When I create a new subpage, then no icons are displayed.
Example: On my main page (index.html) I have in my footer a “to the top” text with an icon “arrow up”. Everything is displayed normally here. For my subpage, however, I only see a placeholder instead of the “arrow up” icon.
I do not know how to fix the problem and need your help.
When you create new sub page make sure you have the correct path of the links loading the fonts and the other assets in the head of the page.

Viktor | 89elements
I made sure that I specified the links correctly. Have solved the problem in the meantime. It was up to the browser. It did not work with my Firefox. When I loaded the page with Microsoft Edge, it worked.
Thank you and have a nice day too!
Glad to hear everything is fine
do you have support to RTL
There is no support for RTL yet but is planned for a future update.
Have a nice day

Hi there, you need to have purchased the template in order to get support – or use the profile that you’ve purchased the item with.
Hi, i found out there’s a problem with the slider. on desktop the slider at the website shown great and ok. http://hayobranding.com/#design but when i view at iPhone Safari browser, all the images in the slider display as block. please help to solve it, thanks. sample as attached
may i know this slider plugin name?
Hi, the slider is name is Slick Slider link here
For more detail support you need to have a valid license.
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
how about the problem i mentioned above? iPhone Safari browser show slider’s images as block instead of slider.
You need to have support license for more detail answer.
P.S. probably the slick slider in the js have responsive settings, delete those and it will work like you expect.
Hello! Why don’t work the live preview for this theme?
Small hosting problems (now fixed).
Websites are now up and running.
P.S. If you have any questions about the theme or the template feel free to ask.

Thanks Viktor! Have a nice day to you too
Nice theme but we have a problem with this page on iPad:
http://themes.89elements.com/definity-html/index-animated-mp.htmlThe image is not displayed in landscape mode on a normal iPad, it works fine in portrait mode. On an iPad Pro, neither orientation works.
Could you please check and advise on a fix.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi there, first thank you for the purchase.
Can you explain a bit more, I’ve tested the page from the link and it works like is intended to.
How do you expect to work?
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
It works fine on my laptop, phone etc. but on an iPad, the image is not displayed. Screenshot here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/50nttymydwgx0x0/IMG_0144.png?dl=0It works fine in Portrait mode on a standard iPad but not landscape. On an iPad Pro, it doesn’t work in either orientation. So it seems to be a problem with wider retina screens?
Hope that helps,
Mike
Can you try a different browser on iPad Pro, for example, Chrome?
I don’t have iPad Pro so I can’t debug the problem and give you the exact solution, but I will search for it, if there is something I will post a link.
Best,
Viktor
Hi Viktor,
It happens in Chrome too, I think on IOS Chrome is using the same engine as Safari though so that’s probably to be expected. I’m on the latest version of IOS.
It’s the same on my iPad mini in Landscape mode though so it’s not just related to the Pro. I would imagine you would see it on a normal iPad in landscape mode.
Let me know if you need me to test anything here as I’m happy to do that.
Thanks,
Mike
Can you use inspect elements on iPad Pro with Chrome?
If you can, inspect the hero section and play around with the background related CSS rules, till it works. If there is background-attachmend: fixed, try turning that off.
I’ll get the developer to have a look, this is a bit beyond me but we can inspect via safari if you plug it into a cable so I’ll let you know if we get stuck.
Hi Viktor – I am using the index-app-landing (mobile landing page) and I’d like to ask you on how to change the images for the features section (fa-btc, fa-code, fa-comments, etc). Also, how do we change the image for the ones that appear in the ? Any help/pointers will be most appreciated. Thanks!
Hi there, first thank you for the purchase.
Those are not images, those are icons -( fa-btc, fa-code, fa-comments, etc) – those are FontAwesome icons.
There are 3 font icons available to chose from, you can see the all the icons from elements > icons …
You change them by simply replace the code for example for Bitcoin fa-btc to fa-start, to be a start icon, you can fine the code from the links in the elements.
Hope this helps & have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
I followed the directions of the guide. the contact form does not work. where am I wrong.
Hi there, you must have not expired support license in order to get help.
There is no problem with the contact form is tested by a lot of users, the problem is probably in your hosting or your location is blacklisted by spam filters so you can’t get any mail.
Have a nice day,

In the home “Full screen video” in which file is the name of the opening image before the video? And what is the name of this image? Thank you
Hi there, in the HTML version of Definity, the images are not included and they are replaced with placeholders.
If you are asking how to change the placeholder with your own image, here is the CSS that you will need:
.fs-video-hero, .fw-video-hero {
background: url(../images/YOUR_IMAGE.jpg);
background-size: cover;
}
Hope this helps & have a nice day,

Hello! Thank you for this great theme. I am thinking of using Agency 2 OP. Is there a way to remove the logo in the navbar, then have the navigation links be totally centered? I plan to have a logo in the hero area instead, so I think visually, things would look nice if the navigation above a centered hero area is also centered. Does that make sense? When I take out the logo coding, there is some odd padding on the navigation links. I see there is a float: left and float: right in the CSS, so that is what is confusing me as well when I try to edit the navigation on my own. Could you advise which part of the CSS I need to edit in order to center the navigation? I appreciate your help!
Hi there, the template doesn’t provide a centered navigation option with a logo or without a logo, all available nav layouts are presented in the demo.
But this is an HTML template and you can edit it however you want, even you can delete the nav and write a new one.
The nav is the one that comes with bootstrap 3 and there is no easy way to do that what you want.
P.S. for more in detail support you need to purchase the item.
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Oh, sorry about that. I meant to mention I downloaded the template when it was offered for free in November. Thank you for your help.
Hi, i downloaded the theme when it was free, but i get ” The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.” although i tried both cpanel upload & through wordpress…
Hi, that’s because this is not a WordPress theme is an HTML template – here is the link to the WordPress version of Definity: https://themeforest.net/item/definity-creative-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/20259333
Could you please help me with my main image im trying to upload im just having some basic issues thank you! I also sent an email.
Hi there Tyler, first thank you for the purchase.
If you are talking about the hero/header section, the backgrounds are added with CSS, you can check the exact path and the CSS with Chrome Inspect Element and re-write that with your own CSS at the end of main.css or in a separate CSS file.
Can you tell me what exact template are you using so I can give you exact instructions.
Best, Viktor | 89elements
Im using Agency 2
Ok then, write this in your own CSS file (loaded last) or in main.css at the end;
.agency2-hero {
background: url(../images/YOUR_IMAGE.jpg);
background-size: cover;
background-position: 50%;
}
Use, !important if needed.
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Its still giving me problems
You need to replace YOUR_IMAGE.jpg with your image.
Use this to test: url(‘https://via.placeholder.com/1600x900'); if it shows a gray image with a number it works.
thank you that worked perfect can you help with one more item i would like to make the image darker is there something i can change to tint the image?
That is controlled by the rgba alpha value – rewrite this:
.agency2-hero .bg-overlay {
background: rgba(17, 17, 17, 0.5);
}
0.5 is the alpha value 1 is full dark 0 is fully transparent.
You should use chrome inspector and find this rules, also test the adjustment in real time.
P.S. If you having troubles with the HTML version I would recommend getting the WordPress version.
Have a nice day,

Hello – I am using the one-page template and have two questions. Here is a link to my dev site: http://golimbodev.com
1 – Nav bar text link hover color – I am using the dark version. I changed the hover color on the text links to blue – which works properly after the user begins to scroll on the page. But I can’t locate the class in the CSS to change the hover color when the site first loads (before the user begins to scroll and the black nav bar background displays). Can you please tell me which class controls the text link hover before the user scrolls.
2 – Hero image (background image) – I noticed that the hero image is not responsive on tablet landscape view – it displays full size instead of resizing / cropping like it does on mobile and tablet portrait. Can you please tell me how I can correct it.
Thank you
Hi there, the website looks great, good job!
1) Just remove the class .navbar-trans-dark the nav element.
2) For the landscape tablet, this is quite big screen 1024px so the bg is more desktop like, which I think is better. This is controlled by the CSS rule background-size: cover (currently) – change cover to 200% and it will be zoomed in. In order to target only that resolution, use tight (the exact tablet width) media queries and wrap your CSS in there.
Hope this helps & have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Thank you
(1) I removed the class from the html page (updated code below), but the textlnk color is still black instead of blue on hover (after the page loads and before user scrolls).
<nav class=”navbar navbar-default navbar-fixed-top navbar-inverse navbar-trans trans-helper navbar-fw” role=”navigation”>
(2) I’m working on this now…
Hello again – I’m not having much luck with #2 either…
I created a second image that is 1024×689 and then added the following to main.css.
@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) { .main-demo-hero { position: relative; width: 100%; height: 100vh; background: url (../../assets/images/suzanne-kustner-enamel-necklaces2.jpg); background-size: cover; background-attachment: fixed; }
For the 1) I’ve tested this with chrome inspector and it worked there. But if you are having problems use !important in your custom CSS with the blue hover color to overwrite it that way.
2) Here you should change background-size: cover to background-size: 200%. Also, I don’t recommend doing this because landscape tablet is more like desktop screen so it is working like it should.
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Thank you
#1) I’m still having an issue. I did not write custom css for the hover color, I just changed the color on the existing css. Below is my code now with !important added. When I view the site in a browser and hover over the main nav textlinks (before scrolling), the hover color is still black, which makes the text unreadable. http://golimbodev.com.navbar-inverse .navbar-nav li a:hover { color: #a3c3f7 !important; }
2) – worked – I just need to play with the image sizes
If that doesn’t work, just go in main.js and comment out the lines 72,73,74
Then try again
That worked – thanks!
Glad to hear that
Hi Viktor,
the features ft-cards-2 (http://themes.89elements.com/definity-html/elements/features.html) are not responsive. Also not in your demo. In the wordpress it works. How can i fix this?
Btw…awesome template!!...bought it right now.
Greets, Daniele
Hi there, first thank you for the purchase.
You have the HTML version of Definity, I don’t understand what you mean by “In the wordpress it works”.
Also, on my side everything looks responsive, can you share a screenshot of the element in question?
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Hi,
i meant the wordpress Demoversion wich you sell is responsive. Here is the screensho. It shows 1. my Site / 2. your HTML site / 3. your Wordpress site.
Greets
Oh, I see, I’ve fix that bug in the WP item, but I guess I forgot to fix it for the HTML.
The solution is simple just lower the max-width to the wrapping element .ft-card-item and also make the image same, all that add it to media query of max-width 700px;
E.g.
@media (max-width: 700px) {
.ft-cards-2 .ft-card-item {
max-width: 250px;
}
.ft-cards-2 .ft-card-item img {
max-width: 250px;
}
}
This should be at the end of responsive.css or in your separate css file loaded last in the head of the doc.
Hope this helps & have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Perfect…Thanks!!
Me again. It´s at the team page too. http://themes.89elements.com/definity-html/elements/team.html Please give me the correct css.
Many Thanks, Daniele
Hi Daniele,
is similar fix like the other one, just wrap it in media queries and lower the width.
e.g.
@media (max-width: 700px) {
.team-3col .t-join,
.team-4col .t-join {
max-width: 250px;
}
.team-3col .t-item,
.team-4col .t-item {
max-width: 250px;
}
.team-3col .t-item .t-image,
.team-4col .t-item .t-image {
max-width: 250px;
}
}
Hope this helps and have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Hi, Viktor. Thank you! But have a similar problem on the same page. But this time its only on my site. I want to have the freelancer switched (image right, text left) but its not correct responsive. I put the original code and it not responsive too. Here is the page: http://2018.hkolife.com/berater.html
It would be great if you can have a look. The site is protected…use steffen/steffen17
Can i contact you in a other way or is posting here in the comments ok?
Tia, Daniele
Hi Daniele,
Here is how to swap left and right: https://www.dropbox.com/s/buj6jmuqgtk0pso/freelancer-txt-img.png?dl=0 For the extra small screens just adjust the height to height: auto;
@media (max-width: 1260px) {
.freelancer-about .img-wrapper .t-image {
height: auto;
}
}
Spacing adjusts accordingly.
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Hi Viktor,
thank you!! See on my page. The Logo and the menu moves a little up when scrolling. I want to have these position all the time. Otherwise its not verticaly centered. Can i disabled this “moving”?
Tia, Daniele
Here is a pic. I want to have the navbar like this all the time.
http://gofile.me/6m2MV/MkJCft0f7
Thank you! Daniele
That is a feature of the template and that is how the nav works. I can’t help you with edits because that is not covered by the support.
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Its a feature of the template and not covered by support? That makes no sense to me. Btw. you helped me with the nav 10 days ago. Look here user hansenwt. After your last comment, i bought the template for myself. Please tell me what is covered by support?
Thank you, Daniele
Hi Daniele, the support doesn’t covert editing the template by your specs. I can help only with bugs and explanation of features.
For the nav to not shrink when you scroll down try removing the class .nav-small from the main.js file and then edit the CSS accordingly.
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
Hi Viktor, i understand! Still thank for the help with the nav.
With your instruction I tried to rebuild the team feature. But I have problems there. The text is somehow in the header and the picture is again not responsive.
Can you help me here?
http://2018.hkolife.com/berater.html (steffen/steffen17)Thank you, Daniele
Hi, the problem described is because of this:
@media (max-width: 767px)
.fw-slider-hero {
height: 300px !important;
}
when you go pass 767px, the hero section collapses to 300px and the bottom text takes all the available place.
Setting this to 600px instead of 300px will fix that.
Hope this helps & have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
hey man… one final question. i got it to work great. why doesn’t the youtube video autoplay on mobile/iphone? it works great in web browser. is autoplay something that doesn’t work on mobile?
Yes, the autoplay doesn’t work on mobile devices – it’s disabled by manufactured in order to save battery.
Hello -
My name is Ben Brown. I was wondering if you have any pages on your “multipage” that would fit for a typical “Profile” type page.
Do you have a suggestion from your templates that would work? This would be for an enterprise license.
Thanks, Ben
Hi Ben, thank you for your interest in the Definity template.
Can you explain a bit more what you have in mind by a profile page?
P.S. let’s continue this conversation via email (viktor@89elements.com)
Best,
Viktor | 89elements
Ok. I get that I can write custom css. What I’m asking is where in the main.css is this “class” for
. I can’t find it?
Can you please tell me what line or where to search? none of these classes seem to be in the main.css file.
Here’s the code and classes:
<!RANDOM IS RESISTANCE
Navigate, main folder > assets > styles > main.css on line 7886 font size is set to 6em; – that’s it.
But this is not the way to do it because of two things – 1) this template was built with SCSS then compiled to CSS, if you know SCSS it’s a lot easier because there are variables for everything.
2) It’s not required to know SCSS, you can easily use CSS for any changes, but here is the correct workflow:
- Create your own stylesheet and load it last in the head of the doc;
- Use chrome inspect to find the classes used, fast;
- Rewrite those classes with your own rules;
Much cleaner and faster;
Have a nice day,
Viktor | 89elements
