Question before buying: approximately, how many images for posts background are available in this theme? (I’d love to forget about buying images). Thanks

Hi there,

None of the images are available with the theme but if you import the demo content, you can get most of the images. Most of which belong to Unsplash and all those images are free to use.

They also have a WordPress plugin to make downloading images easier – https://wordpress.org/plugins/instant-images/

Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

Hi! As rawFrenzy mentioned with the latest updates images don’t span across the width of the screen. Adding ‘alignfull’ class on the image did work, but older posts that had full screen photos need to be manually updated now :( I have 100s of posts. Is it possible to revert this change back?

Hi there,

We just pushed an update fixing the issue which will make the old class work back again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Have a nice day!

With the latest update images don’t span across the width of the screen. Is there any way to fix this?

Hey! Try adding `alignfull` class on the image. Let me know if that doesn’t help. Thanks.

With the new update today the issue is fixed! BUT… the images don’t even display now if Jetpack Lazy Load Images is enabled. It worked before.

It should be fixed with v2.2.10 we just pushed. If you’re still having issues, please head to our support site and create a ticket. Thanks.

I’m using latest theme and latest version of RCP, the password reset page is not mobile responsive, it’s off to the right side. See link here, please add to next update fix https://www.screencast.com/t/W2iTch5zMPRd

Hi!

Thanks for letting us know. We’ve added the fix to be included with next release.

Have a nice day!

Hello, love the theme. Could I change the homepage header image to a high res gif?

If so, I’ll buy it tonight.

Hi there,

Sorry about the delay in response. To answer your question:

Yes, you can use a GIF there, as well as a video.

Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

Will ink get bumped up to support Gutenberg?

Hi there,

Yes, along with all of our themes :)

Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

Hi, I am not sure you received the message I sent through the Ticket because I did not receive a confirmation email.

I would like to reduce the SIZE FONT of the H1 of the “large articles” that appear on the homepage and the H1 on the single post.

I have tried adding this to CUSTOM CSS but the font does not seem to change:

@media screen and (min-width: 650px) [data-layout=”1-2-1-2”] .post-grid:nth-of-type(3n+1) .entry-title { font-size: 3rem; }

I have tried both with this and without ”@media screen and (min-width: 650px) [data-layout=”1-2-1-2”] .post-grid:nth-of-type(3n+1)”

What is the exact code I have to insert in Custom CSS to reduce the size of the Post Title in the Homepage (Large Box) and Single Post?

Thank you!!!

Hello,

Your question is already answered at our support. Let’s continue the conversation there.

Thanks.

Thank you so much, excellent support!

I have over 400 posts that I need organized, at the very least in an archive page. Is there really no way to do pagination? And how do I go about setting up a post archive, can’t find it. Thanks!

Hi there,

Sorry about the delay in response.

I see how the pagination could be more helpful than infinite loading here. We’ll definitely do something about this in future.

As for archives, Ink doesn’t have any custom page templates for it. If you have any further questions, please create a ticket on our support site.

Thanks.

Hey, no worries, thanks for the response.

I love (really, love!) the theme so far and have found a workaround for the pagination. I do have one more question though. Is there a way to allow the featured image in a post to be clickable or include a link to it (or Flickr, perhaps?) where the date/ read time/etc info is shown under the title? I’d love to be able to do this without having to include the picture or link in the text body itself.

Thanks again.

Both are achievable by modifying the theme files but we are unable to help you with that since we provide support for theme related issues only, not customisations. But it’d be fairly easy to implement if you’re willing to hire a developer to do it.

Goodluck !

I know my support has expired, but I don’t need support – I just discovered a bug in Safari:

If you have a header video and have set the “Header Image Opacity” in the customizer, it shows correctly for static images and videos in Chrome or Firefox. However, in Safari this overlay opacity is only working correctly for static images, but not for the video. The video doesn’t get that overlay background color. The bad thing, this error also shows up in Safari on my iPad.

Hopefully, you can reproduce the problem and can provide a fix…or let me know what CSS needs to be tweaked.

Hi there,

Thanks for letting us know. I can confirm that the bug exists in Safari. I’ve already fixed it in theme and it’ll be available with next update. For now, you can download the stylesheet from here – http://f.codest.ag/zRViWx

Hope it helps. Thanks.

Perfect…thank you!

Hi there,

Ink looks like an amazing theme! A couple of quick pre-sale queries. 1- I want the blog post layouts similar to your Mono theme’s Home 3 layout. Is that possible with Ink? 2- Is it possible to change the font type, size, and post width?

Thanks! Vikas

Hello Vikas,

You can see all 9 layouts available on theme description page. Not really close to Mono but you’ll find 5th layout somewhat similar. As for your other question, you can change the fonts on fly but for size and post width, it can be done with a bit of custom CSS.

Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. So, is there any major difference between Ink and Mono other than the post layouts? I’m confused between the two. Please help me decide :-)

Hi there,

My sincerest apologies for the delay in response. To illustrate one easy difference would be the layouts and heavy uses of photos in Ink.

Ink is a photo based theme, where as Mono could work both the ways. It’s really up to personal preference. Feel free to browse around both the demos and choose one that appeals you the most.

All the best :)

Hello I already opened TWO ticket about same issue, and I have been waiting for a reply for like a month… is your support working or what?

Hi there,

There must be something wrong, we don’t have any pending tickets. I was able to locate your account and things seem normal. Also, I couldn’t locate any ticket from you at our help desk, so I went ahead and initiated a ticket.

Let’s continue the conversation there. Thanks :)

Hi! Can I create a sidebar on the blog?

Hi there,

Yes, you can do so. You may find the relevant settings under Customizer > Theme Options > Styling Options.

Hope it helps. Thanks.

Thank you! It’s possible to put the sidebar on the left?

Hi, unfortunately not without some custom CSS, but it is fairly easy to do so, feel free to open a support ticket and we will gladly help you out with this.

Thanks!

Hi – the dummy data page is missing….. tried via the link in the documentation. Want to import the demo so I can play around with it. Can you fix? Thanks!

Hi there,

You can download the dummy data from here – http://docs.codestag.com/article/75-importing-dummy-data

If you have any further questions, please head to our support page. Thanks.

Hi! I have the version : 2.2.4 Is this the last version? Because I do not see how to put my license key? Thanks, David.

Hi there,

Yes, that is the current version of the theme. Here’s a quick link on how to update your theme: https://codest.ag/2iEIXDo

Thanks.

Hi! Ink is compatible with Divi Builder? I tested for my homepage but it does not fit well : http://alfange.com/

Thank you! David.

Hello David,

Ink doesn’t offers any compatibility with Divi Builder actually, so a couple tweaks might need here and there.

Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

Hi! 1 license is for 1 site only? Or many?

Hi there,

You can read all about the ThemeForest licenses and product usage here – https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard

it is impossible whatever I do to change the blog to max width 700, the text is all over the place and takes up too wide of a space: http://godframtid.se/dna-kirurgi-pa-embryon-botar-sjukdomar/ all css Ive done didnt work :(

Thanks

Hi there. The class is .entry-content so if you set a max-width to it you should be good :)

If not, we are happy to help at our support desk. Many thanks! John

Hello! I have a short question before making the purchase. Is this theme ad-friendly? What are the possibilities or recomendations in order to monetize my tech blog with this theme? Thank you!

Hi there

You could use an ad plugin for placing ads, since there is not a built-in feature for this into the theme. However, Ink is compatible with Restrict Content Pro plugin, which is a great way to monetize your blog with paid subscriptions.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Dear Team, Can we have access to the Admin demo to understand the layout options? If yes, then how do we get the link. Can your team email us the link at baqqit@gmail.com

Hi there.

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately there is no access to the admin side possible for now. You can take a look at the widgets overview at our docs here.

If you have any questions, happy to help!

John
