Hello, we are using this HTML as a foundation to our website and had a question on the calendar. Is there an active calendar script in the backend that can be developed out to be a functioning calendar? I know on the demo you have just a static HTML page, but is there something more that we can activate to get the calendar working? Looking at the code I see you are using the same layout (js files and css files) as this Bootstrap calendar. https://www.formget.com/bootstrap-calendar/
Hi!
Here is calendar layout: https://theme.crumina.net/html-olympus/20-CalendarAndEvents-MonthlyCalendar.html
And here you will find a script for its work: https://fullcalendar.io/

Hi!
We are doing our best to finish it in the nearest terms. We still cannot name any ETA, since it depends on how the things will go with Envato revision also. You can subscribe to our Facebook page to be informed about the news in the first turn.

https://theme.crumina.net/html-olympus/34-YourAccount-ChatMessages.html#in this page, the chat box is opening automatically on wrong position. I think you should check.
Thanks!
Hi!
This chat box was added to this page just to show its style, but you can add it to any page and position it by your choice. Anyway in one of the next updates we will improve that.

Just a question, do you plan any update for the HTML version? I really loved how you did constant update (before focusing on WordPress) ?
Hi!
Yes, sure! These projects are different and different people are engaged. We are planning an update soon, we will add search results page, login logout pages as was requested by our customers and also small styles improvements and we will also add unminified CSS for a production version for the users who do not want to use gulp. That is what we are working on right now.

Fantastic news!! Thank you for your talent!!! Love it so much!
hey crumina, you know its been a long time we are still waiting your wordpress vs. (nearly 1 year) we wait your theme because we love it, you see there’s a lot of people waiting this theme and you answered every one “we can’t give you ETA” hey, show some respect your potential customors because we are all here for your beaufil work. and we have no much time. I wait this theme for 1 year doin my project (and other people waiting too we know) you said again and again “we cant give you eta”
please show some respect us and be aware time is flows in our life’s we are waiting your theme to make alive our project. show some respect us and give us ETA for our roadmap. If its take a long time to realase, we are gonna start work on olympus html toolkit. please understand us, we all need ONLY real “ETA”
thank you by the way for you amazing works.
Hi!
Sorry for the inconvenience and for such a delay. We do respect our customers and we really do our best to have it done in the nearest future.
We just do not want to promise anymore, because every time we announce that it is almost ready and will be released “next month”, we run into another gap which WordPress together with Envato rules (sometimes ridiculous) are digging for us.
So it is true, we can’t give you any real ETA, because too much depends on Envato also, even if we finish it to the end of this month (as we are planning), there is still ThemeForest approvement required which can last for a while and due to our experience, they never except at the first time and we never know what they invent tomorrow… That’s it

About a week into development, just want to make a quick recommendation. It seems all of your pages showcase the user/visitor as logged in, which leaves room for a few additional pages where the user is logged out.
https://theme.crumina.net/html-olympus/02-ProfilePage.html – logged in https://theme.crumina.net/html-olympus/02-ProfilePage-Public.html – logged outI am building using the Facebook URL structure: domain.com/firstname.lastname domain.com/firstname.lastname/about domain.com/firstname.lastname/photos
This is going great, however I have to extensively modify the existing “logged in” pages for public use, seo, and meta/og tags.
Hi!
Thank you for this suggestion, we must confess it is quite reasonable. We will pass it to our designer.

Hi, I love your product. But I wonder, If I could apply this toolkit UI for SocialEngine 4 ??
Hi!
It is just HTML template and it can be applied with any CMS if you have enough coding skills and know what to do.

Your theme looks great!
I do not know anything about HTML but I saw that a Wordpress version was planned? Is it possible to have more information? Release date, features, ...
Other question : 1. Will all the features of the HTML version be available?
2. will it be possible to modify the fields of the pages and to add them? For example if I want to create a network based on something else than music, bands, .... This should be a killer feature.
Also there is a feature to search for pages? By category, region, ...? I did not see anything about it in the preview
Thanks !
One last question.
Will it be possible to create several types of pages? With specific fields for each of them?
For example, currently I have pages for music groups. Will it be possible to create a second type of page for concert halls for example? With specific fieds to this type of page such as opening hours, facilities, ...
Thank you
Just one more .. sorry
I saw that there was a statistics page for the profile. Is there the same for the pages?
Hi!
We are working on the Olympus WordPress version right now. However, we can’t give you ETA of its release. It’s hard to say what will be different in WordPress version, many options will be added/removed. I’d better tell what will be the same, it’s: shop, blog, news, corporate pages. The social network will be similar, but there won’t be frontend options like profile widgets edit, etc.
We are not ready to answer all your questions right now. We do not develop social Network, we are just developing a WordPress theme based on BuddyPress plugin. The first release of the theme will have functionality of BuddyPress styled as Olympus, in future releases we will expand the compatibility with another social network plugins and extensions.

Hi mate, do you plan to add a business directory to this community theme? will be great!
Hi!
Thank you for this suggestion. We will take it to consideration, discuss with the team and designer, and if approved we will implement it in one of the future updates.

Hello, is there any support RTL ? Thanks
Hello!
No, at the moment Olympus does not support RTL. Maybe in future we will add RTL stylesheet, but not in the nearest time.

Unlike some of the requests flowing through here I’d just like to stat that I am personally not a fan of Wordpress theme path. It is fun to get up and running fast but it just turns into a nightmare so fast on so many levels it just is not worth it in the long run. And I totally understand why the WP theme is routinely delayed. Every time you take one step forward the WP core handcuffs you as a developer and pushes you two steps back. Even after you launch a production website, it just never ends. And this does not even touch on what happens when WP 5.x is released and everything is fubard.
It is so hard to pull off right and if you do people still complain because WP forces you do things one way, instead of the best way. Or something that might take an hour to code ends up taking a day in Wordpress.
As it stands now I am powering my way through development on this HTML template faster then any other I’ve worked on in my life. It really is a breeze so congrats on that! Perhaps I am lucky in the sense that I just picked this up now and it has come a long when since it was first released.
Leaving a 5 star review now, thanks for the updates and hard work. Would love to see you release more HTML based templates.
WOW!
Thank you very much for this comment, for understanding and for high appraisal of our work! Really thank you – that is what we needed in our desperate work
Best Regards, Crumina
Hello Crumina,
I see you are approaching 2,000 sales now and I think I speak for almost everyone here who bought your template. When should we all expect the next update?
I continually see WP delayed, and I touched on that in my comment six months ago. I cannot help but wonder is it really worth it.
Truly hoping this awesome template was not abandoned.
Hi,
After we release Olympus WP, we will plan to do updates for the HTML template, we gathered pretty much requests from our customers and will try to implement it in the updates, so don’t worry this template is not abandoned, and we would like to improve it.
P.S. We are pretty close to OlympusWP release and apologize for the delay.
Thanks,
Best Regards, Crumina.
Hello Crumina,
Technically speaking it is already abandoned. Just look at your current changelog in the description. Weekly updates, then monthly, then quarterly, then nothing for 5+ months. Hard to imagine new devs like myself buying now or renewing support. Churn rate is probably insane. Even if you do update at this point, I’m not even sure it will have an impact now.
What I also find confusing is that fact that your releasing a WP theme which is based on the HTML template. Why not push along the HTML template while developing the Wordpress theme. They go hand in hand, one is requirement to complete the other. Plus you would have instant feedback from a community that actually understands development.
Also take into consideration you’ve been promoting a WP theme now for upwards of a year. And while your close to releasing, I personally find WP useless, bloated, and overall a small nightmare. Likely the first release is more like a beta, then you go through 1-2 months of support requests and then you finally have a production ready WP theme. Plus an endless que of support requests.
Anyone who can code is going to take the template 99% of the time and plug it into a production ready backend that can scale. I went with Neo4J myself and love it. Likely the top users eyeing your WP version will do the math and realize it is just not worth it in the long run. You can do so much more now with rapid development, graph databases like neo4j, which are just the tip of the iceberg here. The end result will be light-years ahead of any Wordpress version.
In a nutshell I understand that this is business related. I just wish you kept pushing this template along instead of waiting until no one cares anymore.
Hi!
We fully agree with you, though we are developing it because are more specialist in coding WordPress themes, at the same time to simplify the theme use for customers which don’t have any coding skills. Anyway, thank you for your suggestions, we will definitely take your words into consideration.
Thanks,
Best Regards, Crumina.
Again, develop away, just please keep the template up to date. You can specialize, no harm in that. In the end the template is just a small part of the wordpress core, themes, and plugins. Moving the template along only helps improve your final wordpress theme. As for customers who can’t code or have limited skills, I’m sure they will agree that seeing the template progress as a positive. I guarantee no one here, developers and non-developers alike, appreciate 6+ months no updates or forward momentum.
Hi!
We are already working on the update, so don’t worry, it’s not be abandoned and will be released soon.
Best Regards,
Crumina.
Hey guys, its seems like I was speaking some truth a year ago. Your WordPress version is not doing very well with only 100+ sales in over three months. I honestly wish you would have stuck with your HTML template instead of caving into the WordPress crybabies. The number of people leaving comments here supporting you and trying to help you make this template better was pretty impressive at the time. Sad it was all for nothing in the end.
Hi,
We fully agree with you, but it was our mission finishing the WordPress version and we just could not stop on the half-way. We know, it has not met user`s expectations, as some of html features just could not be implemented within WordPress. Anyway, we keep going and will work with the products that brings us more profit. So dont worry, the nearest html update will come very soon.
Thanks,
Best Regards, Crumina.
I’m not worried. ultimately we just moved on and I am sure many others have as well.
Much appreciate the update (and explanation) on what has delayed launching this great looking html template for WP + Buddypress – like the folks above, we’ve been a bit perplexed at the many different times and dates and perpetual “next month” messages dating back since the fall of 2017. Understanding that you can’t predict how + when the theme will be approved for sale on TF – can you estimate whether it will be SUBMITTED to TF during April? We are running another BP theme for a beta community launch (with 25K + FB members) + would love to actually launch it publically with yours – if you think it will be available during April. Thanks
Hi!
Thank you for understanding!
Truly said we do not want to name any terms any more. We are doing our best to get it ready next month, but nobody knows how the things will go and what else surprises will be met on our way, so no promises
Best Regards, Crumina
Same question as McafeeInstitute..
Hi!
We are on finish line We hope soon it will be on Themeforest. But no ETA can be given, since developing such a great project appeared to be a real challenge and once we think all is going great and we are almost ready, we get stuck somewhere on another point and numerous restrictions from Envato do not help development process at all. Thanks for understanding!
Best Regards, Crumina
