Hello, I am very interested in this topic, but I wonder, can you make password-protected videos? I mean, for those who do not have an account or plan, they must enter a password to watch the video, but for those who do have account or plan, they do not need to enter the password. If it could be done with the template?

Hey just bought the theme…love it. Just made an update to the menu and suddenly my images are not appearing. Its only text saying series, coming soon etc. Any ideas how to get the images to display again? Tx

You purchased the HTML Site Template version. This is a site template, not a WordPress Theme. All of the styles, pages, drop-downs are provided as static HTML, CSS, & JavaScript. Therefore the logins and eCommerce are just examples. If you are interested in the WordPress features, we recommend purchasing that version.

Yeah, that item is a photoshop file only. It does not include any coded elements. There are also some other minor differences. We also have a WordPress version of the SKRN theme that is for if you are using WordPress.

Live TV category can be added?
Yes, you can add any type of video or audio you want. If you are planning on adding live video, it will need to be in the proper format or using a custom player. We support audio/video in .mp3, .mp4 as well as Youtube and Vimeo. If you have another streaming format, then you will need to use a custom player. Our theme support any player that works with WordPress or embed code.

Hi there, is it possible to make ‘profile dashboard’ page (http://progression-studios.com/skrn/dashboard-profile.html) split into two columns and independently vertically scrollable? The ‘suzie smith’ along with watched etc column to be scrollable independently from the right side content? Basically i need within your layouts to show me an example of split columns that scroll vertically independently and just one vertical scroll.
If you wanted to split them into two scrolling columns, that would require code customizations. We do not have that requested feature built-in.

Hi… I want to use this HTML template for my client’s Self hosted Movie Streaming Portal. I wish to know; 1. Is there any specific format of Video required to get it played in Video Player ? If yes .. What are the compatible Formats are. 2. As i am going to use it for online payment portal so will i be getting the Customer Pages like , My Account, My Orders, My Purchase history and other default pages in HTML. Or I have to create them using the theme assets.

1) Yeah, the video format used for the built-in player is .mp4. The video player also supports Youtube and Vimeo videos. If you want to use another video player, that should be easy to do as well.
2) All pages are shown in the live preview. We do have a My Account page & Profile page included. If you need additional layouts, you will need to create those on your own. We do have plenty of column and form styling built-in though so this would be extremely easy.

Hi, will you update this version along with the Wordpress version? For example, I see that in the WP version there is a backend plan template where it leads to PayPal sandbox. Can you integrate something here, too?
Although the WordPress version shares the same design, it is a completely different product. Site Template’s do not have a database or content management system, therefore it does not have a backend system. If you are looking for an all-in-one system, that is what we created the WordPress version for. The Site Template does include design elements and styles, however it would require a content management system of some sort for any backend abilities.
Update: We do have a planned update on this site template which will be out in the next month or two. It will include some updates to the framework.

I will write you this via mail, too – but maybe it is of interest for others to know also: Can you provide a “dark CSS” – color theme for this, too? It’s always good for a streaming site to not be too bright, I think…
We don’t have a dark skin however it would be relatively simple to adjust this yourself if you wanted a dark version. I’ve seen a handful of users already doing this without any issues.

Can i stream shoutcast? can i place podcasts through rss feeds?
1) Yeah you can use any service if you want to stream audio/video. You would just need to make sure the service provides embed code and you should be good to go. You can then embed the audio/video on any page. The only limitation is with the lightbox shown in the demo. That lightbox only supports locally hosted videos, Youtube, and Vimeo.
2) This is an HTML Site template so there is no content management system. Therefore we do not have any RSS feed support built-in to the item. We will be having a WordPress version coming out in a few weeks that will support RSS feeds (not this version though).

Any plans to add a backend template? Like a admin panel for adding movie/tv, actors, users, ect?
We do not have plans for adding a backend as this is an HTMl Site Template. If you wanted to have a backend it would require using some sort of content management system. The examples provided show demos of the front-end profile editing as well as example checkout processes and logins.
We do have plans to have a WordPress version though which will included a full backend.

yeah I just meant a html backend and admin html dashboard. Not actual backend logic like in php or something

Any plans for a Joomla version of this template? I really love the look and design/layout.
We do not have plans to create a Joomla version at this time. However we currently are working on a WordPress version. This version is nearly completed and should be available for sale soon.

This is really great and I think I will use this as the basis for my app.
Question:
On phone view for: http://progression-studios.com/skrn/dashboard-movie-profile.html
The play button for the content goes below the reviews and the “extra” media stuff is now hidden.
For this page could you possibly update it so when in the phone view the movie poster becomes the play button and the extra media just becomes a block below?
Also could you add a tv series profile page. One that has extra stuff on it like seasons and episodes etc.

Yea, the artwork, title, and meta data displays first on mobile. The Alternative would be for this information to display at the bottom which would be odd since that is the title of the page. Of course you could shorten that are on mobile or add a completely unique mobile layout if you wanted. However we currently are pretty happy with that layout.
If you wanted to create a tv series profile page, you could so so easily using the existing layouts. We already have post lists that are extremely flexible so you could title seasons that way as needed. Currently we don’t have plans for adding this layout.

If you could possibly help me make the movie poster turn into a play button on phone mobile view and figure out how to move the user reviews to the bottom, then I will get this template right now.
