The charged for clause is for building an end-product that is sold. In your case you are selling your products through the shop and not the shop itself.

By default Wordpress does not allow you to upload SVG files. We should copy the file electro/templates/global/logo-svg.php into the child theme like electro-child/templates/global/logo-svg.php.

Thank you for purchasing our theme and for reaching us. The theme is not dependent on any page builder. You can easily use all the home pages without using a page builder.

However a page builder allows you greater customisation. The theme is compatible with Visual Composer but not with Elementor. If you choose to use Elementor, you can achieve everything in the theme with shortcodes.

CSS stylesheet missing error happens when you are trying to upload the theme package ( usually named electro-v2.x.x.zip ) instead of the theme file ( named electro.zip ). I do have another question : My bog pages (v1, v2, v3, full width) are empty. Although I can see that all demo articles are published.

The visual composer for the blog shows this message : your page is empty, start adding content or a model.

The blog pages should not have been there in the demo content. It is out mistake. This is because you can show only one blog style at a time from 3 available. You can change the blog layout and style in Electro > Blog option.

Thank you for your email. Have you made any changes to .css or .php files ? Usually updating a theme will not cause you to lose any settings that are saved to database. Updates will only cause you to lose changes made to .css and .php files and other changes that may be deprecated in the new version of the theme.

I suggest you to clone your current website into a staging environment and update the theme.

The theme can be updated in 3 ways :

1. Automatically : You can use Envato Market plugin to update the theme automatically. Instructions here : https://ibndawood.com/how-to-update-a-themeforest-wordpress-theme-or-a-codecanyon-wordpress-plugin/

2. Semi-Automatically : Sometimes (1) does not work. You should install this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/ , download the latest installable WP theme zip file from your Themeforest downloads page and then upload it via Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme and upload the zip file. The “easy upgrades” plugin will backup the old theme and install the new one.

3. Manually : You should download the latest installable WP theme from your themeforest downloads page, rename your current theme folder in wp-content/themes folder, unzip the downloaded WP theme from your Themeforest downloads page and upload it to wp-content/themes folder.

Please note that updating a theme will override any custom changes that you make to the parent theme. Hence we recommend using a child theme. A child theme is not meant to be updated and should contain only your custom changes.

As for changing the icon, do you want only to change in mobile ? Please confirm.

Yes I would like to change this only for mobile. I have been able to change for PC view already in the theme header page.

Home pages in Electro are built using page templates. ( Ref : https://docs.madrasthemes.com/electro/topics/set-up-pages/home-v1/home-v1-via-page-template/ ). This means there will be no content in the text editor area or visual composer back-end editor. The content is loaded from the template file and are configurable via page options meta-box that are present below the editor ( Ref : https://docs.madrasthemes.com/electro/topics/set-up-pages/home-v1/home-v1-via-page-template/#home-v1-page-options ). This makes sure that the home pages are independent of page editors.

However you can also build the home pages using visual composer. For example, you can build home v1 by following the instructions given here : https://docs.madrasthemes.com/electro/topics/set-up-pages/home-v1/home-v1-via-visual-composer/ You need to paste the code given in the documentation into your child editor to generate the page using Visual Composer. Thank you for your interest in our theme. Image sizes are not controlled by theme. They are controlled via a WooCommerce setting.

The dimensions of the images to be used in loop and single product pages are set in Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images. You can set it to any desirable image size dimension. However the image will occupy the maximum width available in a given layout. You can read more about it here : https://woocommerce.wordpress.com/2017/12/11/wc-3-3-image-size-improvements/

If you have set uncropped, then the images will be of different sizes. If you crop, then they all will be same size. The theme does not modify the behaviour of image sizes from WooCommerce.

I do not know if there will be a problem with the image sizes with our theme because most of the themes do not play a role in the theme. If your previous theme is having issues, I am mostly sure it will be the same with this theme as well.
