nevermind – found the changes myself!
BUT THIS IS STILL BUGGY ! when i hover over a main menue item the dropdown appears in width 190px. but when i hover over another main item the still visible submenue o0f the first main item ‘jumps’ and the width changes to 120px! makes it impossible to read longer submenue text then. you can easily have a look at your online demo to see this effect. can you please fix this, too!? pretty soon?

I think that this is a bug cufon and IE8 . You can go the other way, delete ?ufon and use google fonts.
i surely can! i can even use a completely different theme, or build my on webseite from scratch. i actually bought YOUR template to NOT have to build basic functions myself, though. i will have to pay someone to do this for me. ;-( and i cant go online without this ‘feature’. having a proper working navigation is no special feature! it´s essential and no customer will pay me for a website that does not work in a widely spread current browser!
so this is crap! please dont state IE as a compatible browser BEFORE you set up a theme for sale and BEFORE someone buying it! ;-(

I figured it out. You are missing links to three necessary components. Eliminating any of the three will cause the accordion to fail:
