I very much like the “feel” of your classic newspaper demo.Especially the black and white pictures and tone to it all. What would be really cool , I thought is if when the mouse went over an image it displayed in colour! I know it would be possible to achieve but would it be a “plugin” diffrent type of lightbox? or quite costly?

Elementor plugin isn’t included in the theme package and we can’t guarantee its compatibility with the theme, as we haven’t implemented such compatibility tests. Though we can’t deny mentioned plugin will work properly with our theme.
For the demo we used our own Visual Content Composer with a huge custom shortcode collection. Please check this video demonstrating how easily shortcodes can be managed. Our visual content composer allows to place any shortcode/section to any part of the content area. You can modify content according to your requirements, for instance, add elements of other pages to your home page. Our customers usually use exactly Cmsmasters’ Content Composer, as they are absolutely satisfied with it.

The easiest way to update the theme is to rename the old theme as the-newspaper-old in your wp-content/themes folder. Then you will be able to upload the new theme the-newspaper.zip via the WordPress admin panel and activate it.
After the theme update, please proceed to Appearance > Theme Plugins, and update all the suggested plugins. Please note that you might need to clear your browser’s cache in order to see the changes.

We’d advise you to use WPML plugin for this purpose, it has to be purchased separately and it’s fully compatible with the theme. Mentioned plugin allows to add language switchers to the header area.
Another solution I can suggest is to create a subdomain for the second language – to create a multisite. I can recommend you to read wordpress articles about creating multisites and you can also find useful information by searching in wordpress support answers: http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network .
In this case a language selector can be created with the help of the code added to the Theme Settings – General – Header – Top Short Info HTML field.

I uploaded .xml files from all three demo content files and this is creating problems. How do I find the .xml files to delete them and start over.

The .xml files are used for demo import – they imported all content to your database, and there is no opportunity to delete them. I can recommend you to clear the database and to start from the scratch, choosing one demo you need to import. Another solution is to delete the unneeded pages and posts manually from the dashboard. In fact the easiest way to make your site look like our demo one is to import demo content. The theme comes with a .xml file that allows you to import all the pages and posts like they are on the demo site. You can find this file in the Demo content folder you downloaded from the Themeforest.
Please note, that all the images are not included and are substituted with placeholders, as according to our license we can’t redistribute them. Please install the WordPress importer plugin, then proceed to the Tools-Import-WordPress, upload file and import. You’ll need to import the Content itself and the theme settings.
The sliders are imported separately, so you need to install the slider plugin and import the slider sample file. The theme comes with a demo slider content import file. After you import it, you will have the same slider as we have on our demo, except that the background images will be absent and you will need to add your own instead. Our license does not allow us add background images to the download package, but all the other slider elements and settings, including timings will be imported.
The theme documentation contains rather detailed instructions concerning the demo content import (you can find it in the DOCS folder you downloaded with the theme archive – please open index.html file in any browser)
