Sorry but we do not have support built-in for .m3u files. Due to the limited browser support, we do not have plans for adding .m3u support.
We do support the most common file-types though such as .mp4 and .mp3. These cover all the main devices such as iPhone, Android, Windows. The video examples we have in the demo are .mp4 videos.

Yeah, we support any third party player such as flowplayer. The video’s won’t work in the lightbox, however you can embed them directly onto the page. Can any video/audio be embedded for course content? (e.g. – vooplayer works with SKRN – or something like Anchor.fm for audio content- which offers embed code?) I know this is a plugin question – but do you know if the plugin supports multi-vendor style memberships? Lastly…..per the great review above – I checked out your Vimeo tutorials on SKRN last month – and they were indeed, quite awesome. I didn’t, however – see any “granny” videos – which feels simultaneously like a big relief – and yet, I’m wondering what I’ve missed in all of the other TF themes I’ve bought over the years

1) Yes, you can easily embed any video/audio. Vooplayer will work as well as Anchor.fm

Well I have to say this theme is amazing and it could be customize by anyone. The support is incredible pre and post sale. I am not a developer im a customer and have learn a little bit over time and I have a lot of questions as I DIY but these guys have all the instructions clear and great tutorials and awesome support. Something that unfortunately is the only problem I see in this marketplace with developers that sell products expecting that you can understand the 1 page pdf or granny video. I am very happy and highly recommend this product and I will check their portfolio as I like the customer service they have. Thank you guys. By the way is not a paid ad lol I am really happy with how this them is coming along for what i am using it.

is it possible to charge per movie without a membership?
The payment structure is going to be based on memberships. You can have the membership a one time fee or recurring. Technically you could create a plan for each video, however this would take quite a bit of work to manage. I would advise not going this route due to the amount of work to setup a custom form per video.

Hi – Just wanted to ask, if you host your videos on Vimeo or Youtube, What is there to stop a potential customers from just going to those sites and watching the videos for free,
How do you host videos on 3rd party sites and lock them so that you need to have an active subscription in order to view them?
Also If I host the video content on my own server, what is there to stop someone from just finding the video files in the Uploads directory of WP?

does the player support m3u8 ( hls ) for live streaming?
The built-in player supports .mp3, .mp4, Youtube, & Vimeo. If you want to use another player, that is also an option. You can use any player that provides embed code. This includes just about every popular streaming player such as Wistia, Daily Motion, etc.

Hello I have tried to set the columns for the displayed movies/shows on mobile to 2 but it still keeps only one column but I want to have 2 in one row on mobile. (Changing the setting for desktop and tablet works)

Hell o pre sale question: love this site and could work great for what i want. So i have a fitness app and 700 videos on vimeo. Now the way it works is that a group of videos is a workout so i need to have them like either a playlist or somehow the user knows that the workout is all the videos in the set order etc. How can i do this here to have it organized? The categories will be like sports conditioning, weight loss, muscle toning etc the user click on the workout and the player loads like a season with episodes? i just want to figure it out before purchasing

I’m trying to enable the end user the ability to cancel their membership. The ‘cancel membership’ page doesn’t work or isn’t finished. I tried to access and cancel membership through the demo as well and couldn’t find it.

The cancel membership can be added via a simple shortcode. We do not have it in the live preview as we do not want users to remove the demo account

Thanks again, I managed to find the shortcodes. It’s buried in Pages > Select the Page > Membership Shortcodes > Others > Current Membership and then select the options to show Cancel Membership button.
I think you could build out the purchased Cancel Membership page to include these shortcodes by default so it’s a bit easier to find. Thank you and great work, love the template!

pre sale questions: 1. Does the player accept subtitles? if yes, which ones? softcoded or separate file or both?
2. subscription payments are recurring? or the users must manually pay at the end of each period? (is it period based or movie based?)
3. Movie data such actors, directors, trailer, description, etc are added manually? or does it use api from iMBD or tMDB?

1) Sorry but the player does not accept subtitles.
2) Yes, the subscription payments can be set to recurring or fixed. You can control if the payments are daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.
3) The movie data is all added via WordPress. It does not get pulled from another API.

Users get access to content based on the membership plan, not views. There is no view limitation or restriction option.
Here is a summary of content controls we have built-in. You have full control over which content is private or public. You can have the entire site private or the entire site public as well.
You can restrict certain sections/pages/videos based on membership plans. These can include free memberships, paid memberships, & free trials.

You can limit access to 10 videos one month. Then 10 new videos the next month etc. However you cannot limit based on view counts. If a user has access to a particular video, they can visit that video as many times as they want.

- Is this almost the same concept as Netflix, sign up and watch movies - Does the user have the option to upload movies? - I noticed under your package screen shot, do we have control to limit what the user can watch, example 4k would be more expensive than HD? - Do you have the function to sign in/up with social media?

2) Users do not have an option to upload movies
3) There is no built-in support for various video qualities. If you wanted to charge more for higher quality, that would be possible but you would need to upload the different versions of the videos and manage that yourself.
4) Yes, we have social media signup/signin options built-in.

Sorry but we do not have any BuddyPress functionality built-in. We do have some social abilities that you can see in the demo. These are custom though and not based on BuddyPress. We don’t have any plans on adding BuddyPress for a number of reasons. That being said it should be possible to add-in BuddyPress support the same as with any other theme.

Yeah, you can easily turn the entire site into a public one without a login requirement. Our theme gives you full control over if you want private content and which pages you want to mark private.
