I was wondering if I should let it operate like a bus instead of an airliner and like open bookings for the next destination only. Adding a timer for the rest to give an approx. for when booking opens for the rest of the islands.

Also I want to take payments from Square up.

2. Yes we don’t yet have the ability to provide a trial but it is something we’re working on implementing. O.k. I’ve now spent 3 days familiarizing myself with both the Embark theme and the Elementor editing interface. No little grief trying to figure out the latter as I’m used to doing all my own coding via the text tab in WP. Yes, some very powerful (and creative) tools there, but… I’m a little frustrated with not being able to fine-tune as I usually do, and can’t seem to adjust the height of segments, etc.

Nonetheless – while I’m confident that this theme is going to work for my food tours, I’m sure I’m going to have a LOT of stray questions as i try to add my own content.

For starters:

I d/l everything in the zip file including (what I thought) were ALL the Embark Rafting theme demo files. Strangely… I seem to have all the “Home” demo pages (e.g. the 7 Home – Call to Action, Home-Calendar, Home-form, etc.) but…

There doesn’t seem to be any of the Tour pages (e.g.All Tours, River Rock Tour, Camping Tour, etc.

I specifically chose the Embark theme for the rafting tour pages as I thought I could easily just slide my own images and content into the various segments on those pages. But apparently they weren’t included in the demo pages d/l. ;(

Also, even the several Home pages that did come with the theme/demo pages download – there’s no images for these pages at all. For example on the Home-calendar page that I’m presently trying to use as my entry page – in the “View our Tours” segment (about halfway down) on the demo there’s 3 pics with blue overlays and text, but… on the Home-calendar demo page that came with the d/l – there’s no pics at all, and indeed that segment is completely empty.

Trouble is… without the demo content, I can’t just add my own pics, text there – as I have no idea what sort of a 3 column widget (?) is used there in the original demo.

I’m also not sure if I should even be asking these question here, or… via a support ticket?

Regarding the import, all you should need to do is install the theme and you’ll be taken to the setup where you can choose the demo to import which includes all pages including Tours. Some, not all images are included, but all of the layouts should be there verbatim.

In rare cases the import may not be entirely successful until certain server settings are updated. The main Elementor requirements are here: https://docs.elementor.com/article/38-requirements

Yes thanks – I’ve been all over the Elementor knowledge base like white-on-rice. Also the Themovation knowledge base. But I can’t seem to find any help there on the issues I asked about above.

And yes too, trust that I left everything toggled “on” for the demo files (i.e. simply clicked “Continue” at each of the installation process pages). AIS, I specifically chose the Rafting demo during that process. As I also said, strangely – I did manage to get the seven rafting homepage files, but sadly, none of the tour pages.

The good news is that I’m feeling quite confident with Elementor now, and have managed to replicate the Rafting Home-calendar page nearly precisely for my food tours. With the exception… of that section beneath the “View Tours” section with the 3 pics with blue overlays and white text.

As I otherwise don’t need all the rafting tour pages (that I didn’t get in the d/l), I’d really appreciate it if you could advise what widget and/or feature settings are being used there.

Should I have further questions, I will open a separate ticket for each.

P.S. btw, nope – not a single image was included in the Rafting Home-calendar demo page layout. But AIS, not a problem as I duplicated the original demo page, and have been able to replicate the entire page with my own pics – save for that.confounding.section that’s utterly blank between the “View Tours” section and the “Are you ready…?” section below (i.e. the one with the “Sort: All AdvancedMulti-day Rapids” in the original demo file).

No problem. Yes now that I see your site it is clear that the import was not able to complete in its entirety. This can happen if your web host has certain server settings configured too low. In that case if they are changed then it will all work correctly. However since you have started to make changes, it may not be the most ideal option to reset everything and start over. You may want to work from what you have, but that’s your call – to reset and correct it, the main requirements are in my previous reply and if you open a ticket we can assist with that.

Or if you check under Elementor > My Templates, the templates should have imported which you can use to setup those Tour pages as well. If not, please open a ticket and we can import the templates so the pages and tours can be setup.

Firstly, (despite the faulty/less than full) import of the entire Embark theme and demo files that I purchased – I L.O.V.E. this theme!

Furthermore, after nearly 2 weeks of fiddle, I’ve managed to (despite less than stellar documentation) figure out most all of Elementor’s many powerful and creative options. Indeed, I’ve even managed to create and customize several new pages for my food tour biz.

HOWEVER…

Unfortunately just yesterday – after near 2 weeks of working perfectly – suddenly Elementor refuses to load. When I click to edit any and all of my pages (incl. the simplest of original pages supplied in the install), I get a gray, “Endless loading” page (see attached image).

As you can see, I managed to unearth an Elementor help page that would seem to perfectly address this (did I mention – sudden, after near 2 weeks of working perfectly?) problem. But of course, the info provided by Elementor stops short of advising precisely how I might implement the solution that they offer (i.e. how on earth do I ”...you will have to change the X-Frame-Options from DENY to SAMEORIGIN.”???

I can only repeat: I truly LOVE this Embark theme, and sincerely hope to resolve all these issues, as I am understandably anxious to move forward in creating a functional website for my new business.

P.S. Oh, and FWIW, my host (an extremely popular one that I’ve happily used with no downtime/problems for my other WP site for more than 5 years) meets all the requirements in the link you supplied above.

Please note also that I have added absolutely no plugins save those supplied with the Embark theme install. I’ve closed every blessed program on my computer save for my Chrome browser, and I’ve rebooted my computer several times in hopes of resolving this Elementor problem.
