I am also trying to add a mailchimp pop-up form. I am copying the footer php file to my child theme folder and I am adding the mailchimp code. I have tried many of the footer files and I am getting no results. Is there a particular one I should use and would I have to paste the code into the mobile footer as well?

And where would you recommend I paste the code before the body tag or before the html tag or before the ”<?php wp_footer(); ?>”?

Thank you for reaching us. Changing default text colors, etc would require custom CSS coding. You’ll have to add it as they are in so many places.

You should not modify the php files for mailchimp form. The Newsletter in the footer is by default a regular form with no action. You will have to use a newsletter subscription service like MailChimp or your own email form via Contact Form 7 or Gravity Forms.

For example if you are using a newsletter service like mailchimp, you can use this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/ to create your newsletter subscription form. Your subscription form should be like this : https://gist.github.com/ibndawood/81489eb753c674bcc1d7f1c962a8c54f

Or if you are using contact form 7 you can create a form like this : https://gist.github.com/ibndawood/2204a575e6d84ab9c09ee7cfa9488181

Once you’ve created your forms you need to paste that shortcode in Electro > Footer > Newsletter signup form.

Yes, but when the screen size becomes small that only one brand fits slider, this function does not work, and you have to press the small arrows on the edges. Please, check this on iPhone and official live preview.

I was referring to the update service, what price do you have?

There are no charges to update. The theme can be updated in 3 ways :

1. Automatically : You can use Envato Market plugin to update the theme automatically. Instructions here : https://ibndawood.com/how-to-update-a-themeforest-wordpress-theme-or-a-codecanyon-wordpress-plugin/

2. Semi-Automatically : Sometimes (1) does not work. You should install this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/ , download the latest installable WP theme zip file from your Themeforest downloads page and then upload it via Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme and upload the zip file. The “easy upgrades” plugin will backup the old theme and install the new one.

3. Manually : You should download the latest installable WP theme from your themeforest downloads page, rename your current theme folder in wp-content/themes folder, unzip the downloaded WP theme from your Themeforest downloads page and upload it to wp-content/themes folder.

Please note that updating a theme will override any custom changes that you make to the parent theme. Hence we recommend using a child theme. A child theme is not meant to be updated and should contain only your custom changes.
