hey there , i updated the theme today , thanks for the new option that allow user submit a recipe . but i cant add the second ingredients on the mobile devise when i hit add ingredient list take me back to the top page . (on the desk top work fine ) , i m using iPhone . 2- how about this option Added “Calories in each serving” field in the front-end recipe submit form. i cant find it on the front end

Actually the update allows front-end editing and deleting of recipes. Submitting recipes was possible before
Yeah, I noticed the same thing on my iPad. On desktop it works. I will take a look at it.
Did you enable the option to display the calories field at Appearance > Theme Options > Front-end Recipe Submission?

Sitemap? Page on your site, or a XML sitemap for search engines? Are you using some plugin for the sitemap?
You should check the logs of your server for errors. If the theme somehow breaks the sitemap, I will fix it. Otherwise there is nothing I can do.
It is xml sitemap for search engines , and I m using yoast plugin for that . If you can plz check the theme from your side maybe the theme breaks the xml sitemap thanks .

I just tested the sitemap with the Yoast SEO plugin, and it works perfectly. https://mytheme.io/recipes/sitemap_index.xml
So, the theme is not breaking it.
I will probably disable the plugin, so the URL above will work only for a while

Hello there, i have 2 questions. 1st, can i extend the functionality of the theme so i can add extra sections while submitting the recipe. For example i want the user to be able to add nutrition facts. Second question is, how are the recipes being stored? As posts? As custom post types? Can i use the WP Rest Api for the recipes?

Hi, I am seeing an issue with pagination. I have 22 recipes on my website and I have set the “Number of recipes” to 18 in theme option settings. This gives me a pagination under the recipes on home page. Page 1 displays 18 recipes, however when I click on Page 2, it gives me a Not Found error: “Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found.” How can I fix it?

Are you using any plugin which could affect the pagination? Have you made changes to the code which could affect the pagination?
The pagination should just work, unless there are some changes made to the theme or if there is some badly coded plugin affecting it.
However, you could try this first: Go to to Settings > Permalinks. Click Save Changes. You don’t have to change anything, just click the Save Changes button. This resets the URL settings, and solves problems with URLs pretty often.

Yes i installed and set up the favorites plugin as indicated in your readme.pdf. I can see “Add to favorites” in the single recipe page, it’s just not visible on the home page.
Is registering enabled on your site?
Settings > General > Anyone can register.

Hello, I am looking to add a “clear text” (icon) within the keyword input field of filters on home page. This icon should just erase all the text in that input field without running the search.
I was able to add an X icon to the SVG file and create the html element within the template-filters.php file (with same styling as search icon):

But when I click on it, it behaves same like hitting the search icon. How can I update the file so it does not call the search function upon clicked?

I can tell you that you need some JavaScript to clear the text field when the clear button is clicked. Just placing the button on the form makes the button function like a submit button, and the form is submitted.
When i use JS, it does clear the text but the form is still submitted and page is reloaded. I’m looking only at template-filters.php. Could you please just advise if I need to look into another file to stop the form from getting submitted?
You need to prevent the button doing the stuff it would regularly do, which is submitting the form.
Hi, Is there a way to hide selected recipes from the end user? For example: If I have added 30 recipes to my site, do we have an option to hide a few of them and make them NOT show up on the Home page? Can it be achieved with this theme or custom code? Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks!

There’s no option to hide selected recipes from the home page.
To hide a recipe completely from the front end, you can set the recipe post status as “Draft”.
It’s possible with custom code, but unfortunately outside the scope of the support I can provide.

The screenshot is from Google search results. Theme supports microformats which helps Google to possibly display a recipe like in the screenshot.
Possibly because Google does not always show the rating stars etc. even if they are in use. Also it takes a while for Googe to update the index with updated data.

Is it showing the WordPress logo, and the default white background?
Have you uploaded your logo, and selected the background image at Appearance > Theme Options? They are used for the login/register page as well.
Have you made changes to the theme code or are you using plugins which could affect the profile link or URL?
You could go to Settings > Permalinks. Click Save Changes to flush the permalinks. You don’t have to change any setting, just click the Save Changes button.

But I can not fix the problem whit the Profil link. I had not make changes to the theme, I have try deactivating all the plugins that are not required to run the theme, and I have also follow your advice about flushing the permalinks (even when I had not used them) :/ Have you maybe another Idea?

Featured image size is what it is. It’s possible that I will add alternate layouts some day but I can’t promise you anything
Ok, I just tested the recipe submit form on the demo site. It produces an error on PHP 7.1, and I already have a fix for it which will be included in the next update.
Which PHP version does your site have? Do you have any errors when you try to submit a recipe? Please see the logs of your site.

This theme does not have a traditional sidebar. You can use the footer area for the widgets etc.
If you want to add a sidebar, you will have to edit the styling and templates of the theme.
