Hi! Unfortunately, compatibility with Gutenberg for the theme was not made. They will work together, but the styles will not match.

I have a problem. I deleted extra picture sizes code in the Function.php file and click the Save and close button. The site appearing as a white screen.
function.php deleting itself. I’m uploading again and again. But it doesn’t work.
I’ve never seen anything like it. Try to get into the admin panel, switch to another theme and upload Akella in a new way.
This is a lovely theme. I am trying it out. I would love it if you had a little ‘manual’ so we could check things without bothering you.

2. Upload “Featured Image” and save post.
3. Then go to: Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Header Area Settings and select “Posts Carousel 1”, for example.
4. Add min 5 posts to “Header Featured Content”.
5. Go to Appearance > Customize > Content Area Settings > Layout and select one of theme content layout.
Hi, how I can remove “Leave a comment” link under post on my Home page. I do not want any comments on the page. I disabled it on wp configuratiom but this link below the post is confusing.
What type of content layout do you use for your Home page?
Masonry 1 Layout, but same situation is on all layouts.

Make sure that you’re uploading the akella.zip file, not entire package you downloaded. If you upload the wrong file you will get an error stating “Error: missing style.css stylesheet.”

What header options are you interested in? In the WordPress Customizer settings, you can set up the site logo, site name, description, set the header image or choose one of the options for displaying featured posts.

I’m having issues in the front page since I use a visual builder (WPBakery). In the homepage, the articles excerpts show the builder codes (ex. vc_row), not the text from the article.
I tried to set a custom excerpt through the default WordPress tool ‘Excerpt’- didn’t work. I also tried with a plugin (Rich Text Excerpts) – didn’t work either. How can I fix this?

Excellent! One last thing – how can we display more than 10 posts on the homepage? We wanted to display 15 – 20 posts. Is that in the loop files somewhere?

hey i bought the akella theme because i think i looks really nice. i wanted to use the food version of it but i cant use it. the documentation is really poor. there are no infos about that?!

and another problem: my logo looks really bad in the header. Its the right solution and size, but its not sharp in your theme. never had that problem before..

Good Day, Firstof we love the theme. I have the themes working on WPML. I have an issue where when I selecting a translated version of the page the featured header posts do not change. We have different posts for different languages, we have selected the featured articles for each language.

I have another question, we are trying to place ads on archive and search views. The ads should show in mobile view and show every 2 articles. Question is where do i place my code to show the ADS? i understand i will need to do a count on the while loop and display the ads, but i cant find the right file to edit.

1. Sorry, but I don’t have this plugin, so I don’t even know how to help You.
2. Open folder akella/template-parts/loop, select loop-file You used in theme (in customizer settings), dublicate and rename it (to archive-loop-grid-1.php for example). Then open an akella/archive.php file, delete line 36 and add this code instead:
get_template_part( 'template-parts/loop/loop', 'archive-' . $akella_layout );
Then in archive-loop-grid-1.php file add Your ads code.
For the search make by analogy.

how can I show the 5 kinds of Header like Demo of my homepage. Because I already have over 5 articles, all put it on Header Featured Content, but the posts grid doesn’t appear, why?? Have u any some setting must setup?? (me already setup on Header Area Settings, choose “posts grid” already)
If You want to display Posts Grid in the Header:

Have You any items not in “Header Featured Content” (“Non Selected” option)? Try to add.
Try to select “Posts Carousel 1” in Header Area Settings. Is it work?
