Looks like this theme is no longer supported by the author. The website of the author is down and as a result the theme cannot be installed.

Yes, the original version was named Cortana. Now I can’t even use that version, WPBakery Page Builder latest version isn’t compatible and the Save & Generate CSS option isn’t working either. I can’t even update text or images on the site.

Are you going to be releasing a theme update soon, to cover WordPress 5.0 and Visual Composer 5.6. When I updated my site to WordPress 5.0 and Visual Composer 5.6 it crash my site. I reverted back and it worked again.

i’ve update Visual Composer plugin to latest version but i got some error.
It seem that the plugin going to conflict with w9 cartana addon. Until 5.4.7 version everything works but with 5.5.1 the layout breaks.
Did you tried your theme with latest version of visual composer?

It seem grid builder (Masonry Posts and Cartana Posts) does not work correctly with VC 5.5.1. You can download the latest version of our theme to solve that problem.

I’m trying to change the size of the sliders on the single-portfolio.php. Right now it is 1200×599, but I would like to make it taller than 599. When I change the reference to “599” in the cortana-framework: /includes/shortcodes/portfolio/templates/single/small-slider.php it results in the images only adhering to the max-width with varying heights. Please advise.

That function will crop your original image to specific size. However, if you want your image height to be exactly larger than 599, you have to calculate the ratio: 1200 * [your-expected-image-height] / 870 (http://prntscr.com/jtgz9q). Thanks
I’m not sure what you mean by this. I am trying to make the height of the cropped images taller, but when I change the code in the framework it just shows full images of all items on the single portfolio page. Some tall some wide, but they are not a cropped to the same size. I want them to all be cropped the same.

V2 is just a remake version of V1. However, due to the Cortana copyright issue (Microsoft), we no longer support Cortana theme. The main package now only contains Cartana and its child theme (you can not use Cartana with the data of Cortana). Thanks
Hey, the Theme’s System Status keeps showing the Max Execution Time at 0 (https://prnt.sc/hovw62) but my direct php page/report from my site shows the max Execution Time at 600 (https://prnt.sc/hovw19)
My hosting provider is convinced it’s set to 600 for both the Local vs. Global Values. Any known bugs from the Theme or Theme’s plungin to cause it to read the 0 instead of the actual 600? I have not yet installed the Demo Data yet. Waiting on this first. Thanks.
Is your site still fresh ? if so, you may try importing the demo. In case you import the demo successfully, it seems the warning message shows incorrectly (you may ignore the message). The reason why Max Execution Time need to be 300 is that the demo installation may take a long time (so the installation may be failed if max_execution_time is low).

Looks like the warning message is an error, you might want to fix that on your next theme update. I was able to install the demo data fine with the max execution time set at 600. Thank you for your help!

Also, any pages inside the themes Portfolio and Service (https://prnt.sc/hpcx3h) section, when I select my HP 7 Preset (https://prnt.sc/hpcx7g) it keeps showing the Default Preset. It works fine when I set it in a regular page, but all pages under Portfolio and Service, the pages keep showing the Default Preset.
And when I try to change the Custom Portfolio and Service Name & Slug, it doesn’t change either (https://prnt.sc/hpcygd) – For example, if I want to display: DOMAIN.COM/expertise/xxx – Replacing the word ”/Service” with ”/Expertise” etc. Thanks.

Thank you so much for that. However, after I successfully changed the custom-slug from /service to /expertise in Global Setting, then n the Breadcrumbs, it’s still reading it as /service

I did select Preset HP 7 on the Contact Page and saw the CSS (https://prnt.sc/hpwckc AND https://prnt.sc/hpwcns), but it keeps displaying the other header style (https://prnt.sc/hpwdc0). Not sure where else to look.

I’m experience another issue, sorry. Cortana Post Widget, I used the exact demo version to display the Services posts (https://prnt.sc/hpyj73), then when I change the Grid Element (https://prnt.sc/hpyjdu) to something else, Save Changes, and then when I select back to the original Grid Element template/setting, it keeps looking like this: https://prnt.sc/hpyjla
In other words, once I make changes to the demo layout and then go back to match it again, it doesn’t show like before. It did the same when I tried to copy the Portfolio Grid as well. Thanks. I even click on Save & Generate CSS, but didn’t work. Thanks.

I just downloaded the latest Cortana v2 Zip and uploaded to a fresh WP Installation, from your subfolder cortana_v2 but it’s showing v1.0 in the WP Admin.

I first changed it to v2.0.0 in the style.css header area, but did not click on Save & Generate CSS yet. Am I supposed to? It did show v2.0.0 in the Themes/Appearance screen in WP admin though. And I haven’t click on Demo Installation yet but will do so next.
Normally, you only have to to click Save Change. However, you may have to click Save & Generate CSS if:
1) your page layout is broken (CSS is shown incorrectly)
2) you modify any .scss file of our theme

Hey So can you help me with the best direction. I am trying to update from Cortana v1 to v2 for a client. I just recently updated it to the child theme. The problem is when I update Cortana via FTP it gives me a completely White screen. Can’t login to the back-end or see the front end. So I have to reupload v1 to fix it.
Hi, you can not migrate from v1 to v2 beause they are using different frameworks. It means if you want to use v2, you have to rebuild your client site again (to prevent blank screen: remove v1 and plugin Cortana Framework before uploading v2).

okay gotcha, so even if I remove the frame work plugin then change to v2 to prevent the white screen, it wouldn’t matter as the site would be messed up anyways.
Will you keep updating v1 along side version 2 in the future? or at this point am i stuck with v1, as rebuilding v2 would be recreating the whole site.
We still maintain v1 . However, about updating new features for v1 (and v2) in the future, I’m not sure because we are too busy with other projects. Thanks
